There is a growing interest to use Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) inversed PWV for heavy rainfall prediction. When heavy rainfall occurs, it requires the atmosphere to contain sufficient water vapour and undergo strong upward motion. However, existing models using GNSS-PWV for heavy rainfall prediction have not accounted for the effect of the complex motion of water vapour. In this paper, an hourly heavy rainfall prediction model using sample entropy derived from GNSS-PWV and PSO-SVM is proposed. The sample entropy of GNSS-PWV is used to measure the complexity of the water vapour movement process before heavy rainfall occurs. Meanwhile, combining GNSS-PWV time domain features and co-located meteorological data, the occurrence of hourly heavy rainfall events is predicted by support vector machine optimized with particle swarm. To verify the validity and feasibility of the proposed algorithm, Hong Kong's HKSC station in Sham Shui Po is used for the model to train and test. The result shows that probability of detection, false alarm rate and critical success index of the proposed algorithm in this paper have significantly improved over other heavy rainfall prediction models. © 2024, Aerospace Information Research Institute.

Faced with the rapid development of social networks and the enormous business opportunities they contain, data mining and analysis based on social networks has become an inevitable trend. By utilizing various technologies such as Visual C++6.0 and Pajek, data collection and analysis were achieved. The user ID (Identification) was added to the Sina server and relevant user information was requested through the API (Application Programming Interface). Through the data analysis module, the stored data was processed appropriately for different research objects, and network analysis tools can be used to visually display certain results. Using this model, sentiment classification was performed on Weibo samples with existing labels, and the accuracy, recall and F1 value of manual labeling were evaluated. The positive accuracy was 0.85; recall was 0.82; F1 value was 0.84. This article helps to improve user experience and explore more user value.

To address the issues related to the ineffective identification of small targets in aerial images and the absence of real-time detection, we propose a lightweight algorithm FLF-YOLO based on the improvement of ***, FasterNet, an efficient lightweight network, is used instead of the original backbone network, which reduces the computational complexity and improves the inference speed;then, a bottleneck structure combining with LSKNet is designed, which dynamically adjusts the spatial receptive field to improve the detection accuracy in limited resources;finally, Proposing the Focal- a EIoU1.5 loss for adaptive enhancement of bbox regression accuracy through Power transform. Experiments on the open dataset VisDrone 2019 show that in comparison with the baseline model YOLOv5s, the inference speed is improved by 3%, mAP@0.5 is unchanged, and mAP@0.5:0.95 is increased by 1% under the premise of reducing the number of parameters and calculation amount by 37.3% and 37.7% respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

A Low-Rank Matching Attention Based Cross-Modal Feature Fusion Method for Conversational Emotion Recognition

Conversational emotion recognition (CER) is an important research topic in human-computer interactions. Although recent advancements in transformer-based cross-modal fusion methods have shown promise in CER tasks, they tend to overlook the crucial intra-modal and inter-modal emotional interaction or suffer from high computational complexity. To address this, we introduce a novel and lightweight cross-modal feature fusion method called Low-Rank Matching Attention Method (LMAM). LMAM effectively captures contextual emotional semantic information in conversations while mitigating the quadratic complexity issue caused by the self-attention mechanism. Specifically, by setting a matching weight and calculating inter-modal features attention scores row by row, LMAM requires only one-third of the parameters of self-attention methods. We also employ the low-rank decomposition method on the weights to further reduce the number of parameters in LMAM. As a result, LMAM offers a lightweight model while avoiding overfitting problems caused by a large number of parameters. Moreover, LMAM is able to fully exploit the intra-modal emotional contextual information within each modality and integrates complementary emotional semantic information across modalities by computing and fusing similarities of intra-modal and inter-modal features simultaneously. Experimental results verify the superiority of LMAM compared with other popular cross-modal fusion methods on the premise of being more lightweight. Also, LMAM can be embedded into any existing state-of-the-art CER methods in a plug-and-play manner, and can be applied to other multi-modal recognition tasks, e.g., session recommendation and humour detection, demonstrating its remarkable generalization ability. © 2024 IEEE.

Federated Learning (FL) is an advanced technology that tackles the challenge of blocked data arising from privacy concerns, enabling the training of deep learning models without the need for data sharing. However, FL faces difficulties with heterogeneous data and limited annotations in medical image segmentation. Motivated by this discovery, this study proposes a novel hybrid-supervised federated learning method (FedSLAG) that explores various types of annotations in medical imaging. To focus more on weakly-supervised and unsupervised scenarios within hybrid-supervised learning, a federated Gaussian enhancement module was proposed for heterogeneous sparse annotations (points and scribbles). The feature extraction module combines the features of multiple weakly-supervised clients and establishes the correlation of similar pixels, thus making up for the deficiency of scarce annotations and the insufficient feature extraction capability of a single machine. Then, a two-stage broadcast mechanism based on supervision sparsity was proposed to alleviate optimization deviation in local models. Experiments on breast tumor and skin lesion segmentation tasks demonstrate significant efficiency gains as well as highly competitive segmentation accuracy in many hybrid-supervised situations. For addressing the problems that the existing data cannot be effectively integrated with the process control decision-making in the digital mine system, a digital twin system for underground locomotive dispatching management is proposed in this work. Firstly, the designed digital twin system has a four-tier system architecture, while the part of theoretical prior model is established by Petri nets, and the actual dispatching is constructed by integrating simulation software and a three-dimensional (3D) virtual mapping for underground mines. Then, the effectiveness of dispatching algorithm and the consistency of twin information are systematically evaluated through the setting of simulation parameters and the access of twin data. The designed digital twin system of underground locomotive dispatching can not only visualize the dispatching system in two directions, but also provide decision-making basis for the safety of locomotive dispatching, which deepen and widen the application scope of digital twin system in the field of intelligent mine construction. © 2022 IEEE.

Federated Learning (FL) is an emerging distributed machine learning technology. However, in practical applications, it frequently encounters the challenge of client resource heterogeneity. This can result in long wait times or even model training failures during the communication process of FL. To address this problem, we propose a dynamic hierarchical federated learning mechanism for financial models (DHFM-FLM). The local client adopts a dynamic model training design that leverages the property of resource heterogeneity to enhance the performance of the local model. To avoid prolonged wait times for failing clients, a dynamic communication detection design is proposed at three critical junctures. In each round, the model hierarchical reservation communication design is employed to collect models in segments, thus reducing communication congestion and preventing malicious attacks on the communication process. Experiments with heterogeneous computation and communication resources demonstrate that utilizing the DHFM-FLM boosts model performance by approximately 5-8% and reduces communication time by about 15%. Additionally, DHFM-FLM increases the success rate of the FL task by approximately 6%. © 2024 IEEE.

Recent progress regarding the use of language models (LMs) as knowledge bases (KBs) has shown that language models can act as structured knowledge bases for storing relational facts. However, most existing works only considered the LM-as-KB paradigm in a static setting, which ignores the analysis of temporal dynamics of world knowledge. Furthermore, a basic function of KBs, i.e., the ability to store conflicting information (i.e., 1-N, N-1 and N-M relations), is underexplored. In this paper, we formulate two practical requirements for treating LMs as temporal KBs: (i) the capacity to store temporally-scoped knowledge that contains conflicting information and (ii) the ability to use stored knowledge for temporally-scoped knowledge queries. We introduce a new dataset called LAMA-TK which is aimed at probing temporally-scoped knowledge, and investigate the two above requirements to explore the LM-as-KB paradigm in the temporal domain. On the one hand, experiments show that LMs can memorize millions of temporally-scoped facts with relatively high accuracy and transfer stored knowledge to temporal knowledge queries, thereby expanding the LM-as-KB paradigm to the temporal domain. On the other hand, we show that memorizing conflicting information, which has been neglected by previous works, is still challenging for LMs and hinders the memorization of other unrelated one-to-one relationships. © 2022 Association for Computational Linguistics.
