Kaempferol protects against dexamethasone-induced muscle atrophy in mice by increasing PI3K/AKT/mTOR and NRF2/HO-1/KEAP1 signaling pathways: network pharmacology， molecular docking， and experimental validation studies

Muscle atrophy can be induced by high doses or prolonged use of glucocorticoids. Kaempferol (Kae) is a naturally occurring flavonoid with a variety of biological activities and the effect of Kae on dexamethasone (Dex) induced muscle atrophy in animals has not been elucidated. To explore this issue， the present experiments used a computationally assisted drug design scheme combining network pharmacology， molecular docking and in vivo experiments to investigate the mechanism of Kae against muscle atrophy. Network pharmacological analyses revealed 275 potential targets for Kae and 12，294 potential targets for muscle atrophy， with a total of 228 cross-targets for Kae and muscle atrophy. GO and KEGG analyses were performed based on the PPI network of muscle atrophy and Kae component *** GO results showed that the biological processes were mainly related to the metabolic process of reactive oxygen species， and the response to oxidative stress; the cellular components were mainly focused on membrane microdomains， and membrane regions; the molecular functions mainly worked on phosphatase binding; and the KEGG pathway enrichment analyses identified the pathways of interaction between Kae and muscle atrophy. Finally， as verified by in vivo experiments， Kae may reduce the onset of muscle atrophy by activating the PI3K/AKT/mTOR/signalling pathway， inhibiting Foxo1/Foxo3 activity， and inhibiting downstream production of the ubiquitination 3 ligases Atrogin-1 and MuRF1; Kae also promotes the expression of NRF2/HO-1/KEAP1 signalling pathway， enhances muscle antioxidant capacity， inhibits the release of COX-2 and TNF-α inflammatory factors， and reduces the damage caused by oxidative stress and inflammatory factors to muscles. Therefore， there may be a synergistic effect of PI3K/AKT/mTOR and NRF2/HO-1/KEAP1 in Kae working together to prevent muscle atrophy. Service-oriented communication in collaborative intelligent transportation systems (C-ITS) can provide users with a variety of services to enhance the driving experience. Implementing anonymous authentication in service-oriented communication can protect users’ privacy while obtaining value-added services. However, existing service-oriented anonymous authentication schemes are either only applicable to single-service, or do not fully consider how to achieve partial-disclosure of credentials in multi-service. In this paper, we propose an anonymous authentication scheme with partial-disclosure through attribute-based credentials. Firstly, Service qualifications are defined as a set of attributes, and service providers sign on the attributes to generate credentials for users. Our scheme supports credential aggregation and takes into account both single-service and multiservice scenarios. Secondly, through the feature of redactable signature, users can achieve partial-disclosure on aggregated credential. Finally, it is proved that our scheme can ensure the efficiency of authentication while ensuring security, which is of practical significance.

With the continuous development of information technology, artificial intelligence fire automatic alarm system is gradually developed. However, the current system is based on a single sensor for identification, when a fire still uses manual active fire extinguishing, low efficiency in handling fire, high failure rate, poor system scalability, poor anti-interference ability, high false alarm rate. At the same time, the recognition accuracy is low, the processing speed and intelligence are also insufficient. Therefore. To address the above problems, this study designs a multi-sensor artificial intelligence fire prevention system using smoke and temperature sensors. The fire prevention system can send alarm signals at the earliest stage of fire and can intelligently extinguish the fire, so that the disaster can be controlled and extinguished by taking measures in advance. Meanwhile, the system can continue to work even if one of the sensors is not working properly. © 2023 SPIE.

In this paper, we construct a lattice-based fuzzy password authentication key exchange(fPAKE) protocol in the framework of Universal Composable(UC) security. Through the known password authentication key exchange (PAKE) scheme, the Randomised Fuzzy Equality(RFE) protocol and the Oblivious Transfer(OT) protocol are introduced to improve PAKE into a variant of PAKE-fPAKE. Firstly, the users go through two rounds of Oblivious Transfer protocol, and then the key exchange is achieved based on the information exchanged. fPAKE satisfies that even if there is noise in the passwords between users, key exchange is still *** is suitable for more application scenarios compared to PAKE, and the construction is UC-secure, which can be more securely and efficiently applied to blockchain scenarios. © 2024, The Authors. This study presents an overview on intelligent reflecting surface(IRS)-enabled sensing and communication for the forthcoming sixth-generation(6G) wireless networks, in which IRSs are strategically deployed to proactively reconfigure wireless environments to improve both sensing and communication(S&C) performance. First, we exploit a single IRS to enable wireless sensing in the base station's(BS's) non-line-of-sight(NLoS) area. In particular, we present three IRS-enabled NLoS target sensing architectures with fully-passive, semi-passive, and active IRSs, respectively. We compare their pros and cons by analyzing the fundamental sensing performance limits for target detection and parameter estimation. Next, we consider a single IRS to facilitate integrated sensing and communication(ISAC), in which the transmit signals at the BS are used for achieving both S&C functionalities, aided by the IRS through reflective beamforming. We present joint transmit signal and receiver processing designs for realizing efficient ISAC, and jointly optimize the transmit beamforming at the BS and reflective beamforming at the IRS to balance the fundamental performance tradeoff between S&C. Furthermore, we discuss multi-IRS networked ISAC, by particularly focusing on multi-IRS-enabled multi-link ISAC, multi-region ISAC, and ISAC signal routing, respectively. Finally, we highlight various promising research topics in this area to motivate future work.

FDSR-INT: A Flexible On-Demand In-Band Telemetry Approach for Aerial Computing Networks

In-band network telemetry (INT) is a new network measurement technique that provides real-time, fine-grained packet-level network measurements. However, standard INT lacks the flexibility to perform configurable on-demand network measurements. In this work, we propose a flexible on-demand network measurement mechanism (FDSR-INT) based on a dual bitmap by combining the programmability of segment routing based on IPv6 (SRv6) and the telemetry efficiency of the INT to achieve customizable network measurements. By designing the dual bitmap, the telemetry information of personalized probe nodes is supported, and the telemetry efficiency is improved. SRv6 is employed to direct measurement probe packets, ensuring coverage of a specified set of network targets. Its inherent programmability enables INT to conduct customized per-hop network measurements. The designed flexible INT field structure, which appends traceability information along with telemetry information, reduces the information traceability overhead in the control plane and improves the network compatibility of the mechanism. We solve the optimal probing path by solving a traveler problem in an auxiliary graph and design a greedy pathcutting algorithm to maximize the number of nodes for single packet probing while satisfying the packet length constraints to improve the success rate of the probing task. Finally, we implemented FDSR-INT using P4 and verified its performance experimentally in the constructed *** integrated simulation dynamic environment. FDSR-INT saves 30% of the data plane bandwidth and 54% of the data plane bandwidth on *** interfaces compared with SONM-SR-INT, etc. Furthermore, it has low control plane processing overhead and probe path transmission overhead. © 2014 IEEE.

Image inpainting based on deep learning has been greatly *** original purpose of image inpainting was to repair some broken photos, suchas inpainting artifacts. However, it may also be used for malicious operations,such as destroying evidence. Therefore, detection and localization of imageinpainting operations are essential. Recent research shows that high-pass filteringfull convolutional network (HPFCN) is applied to image inpainting detection andachieves good results. However, those methods did not consider the spatial location and channel information of the feature map. To solve these shortcomings, weintroduce the squeezed excitation blocks (SE) and propose a high-pass filter attention full convolutional network (HPACN). In feature extraction, we apply concurrent spatial and channel attention (scSE) to enhance feature extraction and obtainmore information. Channel attention (cSE) is introduced in upsampling toenhance detection and localization. The experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve improvement on ImageNet.

Multi-exposure image fusion is a cost-effective method to improve the dynamic range of images. For the problems of inadequate detail extraction in bright and dark areas and the over simplicity of existing fusion rules by current deep learning multi-exposure image fusion algorithms, we propose a DenseNet-based framework using adaptive Gabor convolution. Building on the Dense network architecture, we design an adaptive Gabor convolution module, which the parameters of the Gabor filter can be updated along with the network, enhancing the ability of Gabor to extract image features. Additionally, a cross-domain aggregation attention module is proposed, which effectively aggregates and enhances information. Comparing our method with seven advanced methods on the multi-exposure image fusion benchmark dataset, the subjective and objective evaluations outperform the other methods, proving the effectiveness and superiority of our method. The experiments of different exposure images fusion demonstrate the good generalization performance of our method. © 2024 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.
