During COVID-19 pandemic several countries have implemented quarantines in response to the virus’ spread, which was considered an emergency. Thailand was under a state of emergency from January to December 2020, which has had an impact on the state of environment. Based on real-time data from the Pollution Control Department, the impact of COVID-19 lockdown on PM2.5 pollution in Thailand was examined. Inverse Distance Weighted interpolation was used to generate a more accurate visual representation of the PM2.5 pollution through a spatial distribution of atmospheric pollutants across the provinces of Thailand. PM2.5 levels in all considered areas reduced considerably between 2017 and 2020, with the most significant decrease occurring during the lockdown period of April-July in 2020. As the pre-COVID-19 period occurred during late winter in Thailand, the monthly average PM2.5 concentrations in all selected provinces were gradually increased from December 2019 to March 2020. During the lockdown period, the concentration of PM2.5 was reduced in Pathum Thani (48.9%), Samut Sakhon (35.6%) Samut Prakarn (33.6%), and Bangkok (31.7%) The spatial–temporal distribution of the PM2.5 levels in Samut Sakhon and Samut Prakarn provinces were analyzed for October 2020, during the new normal period. The results showed a significant decrease in concentration of up to 31% compared to previous years where industrial operations were situated. This study showed that the government enforced lockdown during COVID-19 pandemic was beneficial in understanding the impact of reduced human activities on anthropogenic air pollutants’ concentrations. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

A substantial number of people are presently making use of decentralised cryptocurrencies that are built on blockchain technology. These crypto currencies have garnered a lot of interest over the course of the last few years and are currently being used by their users. Being the first use of blockchain technology, Bitcoin has been a resounding success, which drives further research and improvement in the sector concerned with blockchain technology. Bitcoin was the first usage of blockchain technology. Bitcoin, on the other hand, is susceptible to significant performance issues due to the fact that it has a high transaction latency and a limited throughput. The operations of the cryptocurrency are considerably impacted as a result of these concerns. As a result of the fact that other cryptocurrencies that rely on proof-of-work also carry over its deficiencies, there has been an increase in the number of concerns about the scalability of blockchain technology. The fact that this is the case makes scaling blockchain technology more challenging. All during the course of this investigation, an effort is made to analyse and classify the various scaling mechanisms that are now being used for blockchains. In addition to this, we are going to look at a variety of various approaches and present a list of possible solutions to the issue of scalability that the blockchain technology is now dealing. © 2024 IEEE.

Along with technological improvements, online shopping is currently developing quickly. Online shops started by selling electronics, clothing, food, and home appliances and continue to evolve, selling various things. Currently, digital marketing has a novel technique, namely live shopping, where sellers can present, promote and offer their products directly through live streaming on social media and e-commerce platforms. This research will focus on gaining insight into the factors influencing customers to watch and purchase through live streaming. This research is an early-stage study of exploring and searching for research models. The study used a literature review approach by reviewing similar previous research articles. Several variable components were used in this study. The findings of the factors include visibility capacity, meta-vocation capacity, purchase orientation capacity, social presence, price, perceived product quality, perceived enjoyment, purchase orientation, perceived usefulness, and intention to buy. These factors were tested and proved to be valid with Cronbach's Alpha value being more than 0.5 and reliable with the value of the loading factor a greater than 0.6. Criteria The factors of the findings for further analysis of the relationship between factors and other variables. © 2023 IEEE.

Detecting anomalies in multivariate time-series data is an important task in various real-world industries, but doing so is non-trivial because both the temporal dependency within the time series and correlations between multiple time series must be considered. Previous studies have only addressed one issue, resulting in limited performance. To address this, we propose a graph convolution-based recurrent encoder-decoder, called GC-RED. The model incorporates intra-dependencies and inter-correlations using a graph-construction process and an encoding-decoding process that encodes the graph with an attention-enhanced graph convolutional LSTM and then restores it. Anomaly detection and root cause identification are performed based on the reconstruction error. Considering that anomalies with various durations can occur in actual situations, the model includes a vanilla model reflecting single scales and a model reflecting multiple scales. The feasibility and usefulness of GC-RED are demonstrated by intensive experiments on several benchmark and real-world datasets with comparisons to other competitive methods. © 2024, The Authors. Energy crisis and environmental harm force economies to delve in to more sustainable practices. In this entire scenario, financial technology plays major role in mitigating harmful emissions as it promotes renewable energy resources that may help in increasing eco-friendly consumption. To have better understanding of particular transition mechanism, the study scrutinizes the panel data of 10 Asian economies for the time period 2002–2022. The study extends the empirical debate on the theory of energy by exploring the nexus among green finance, fintech, financial inclusion, natural resources, and energy efficiency. The study was rooted in an econometric methodology through the implementation of ARDL model to evaluate the long- and short-run associations among the variables. Data was extracted from global databases. The analysis provided critical insights into the associations among the variables. Firstly, the study showed that Fintech negatively impacts energy efficiency. On the other hand, GDP and energy efficiency were positively and significantly associated. Similarly, total natural resources positively and significantly influenced energy efficiency in the long-run although increasing green finance leads to a decline in energy efficiency in the long-run. Short-run coefficients lacked statistical significance. The vector error correction model unfolded a significant and negative error correction term, indicating the adjustment to equilibrium in long-run. This study not only adds to the existing literature but also offers valuable insights into energy dynamics for policymakers, governments, and future researchers. © 2024

Despite being an efficient bioremediation agent, aquatic biofilm's usefulness as a biomonitor has not been explored extensively. This study disclosed the potential of epilithic biofilm as biomonitor by comparing its metagenomics with water quality parameters and microplastic count in Brantas River. Metagenomics showed the epilithic biofilm was dominated by Exiguobacterium, which recognizes and degrades microplastics, along with Rhodobacterium and Rhizobiales. For the first time, biofilm microbes and their respective roles were discovered to correspond to the total microplastic counts in comparison with BOD as the only transgressing physicochemical parameter. Thus, epilithic biofilm is a potential biomonitor for riverine microplastic contaminations. © 2024 The Author(s)

During the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, the ecotourism business suffered greatly. Physical distance was widely adopted at the start of COVID-19 expansion, making physical tourism activities unfeasible. The negative impact of the pandemic has prompted many researchers to assist the tourist sector, particularly Ecotourism, as the subject of this research. The current study focuses on global academic ecotourism researchers from the COVID-19 epidemic period. The specific time frame is between the years 2020 and 2021. As a reliable consideration, a Scopus-indexed database is used. There are a total of 2071 publications extracted. Environmental science and social science accounted for 24.9 and 23.4 percent of all articles, respectively. The top two publications by country/territory were from two major, populous countries, China and Indonesia. The percentage of article type is 79.2 percent. This study includes more comments. This research assists both scholars and practitioners in the sector. © 2023 ACM.

International publication trends in Lean Agile management research: a bibliometric analysis

Challenged by complex problems and the speed of technological, social, and environmental change, the joint approach of Lean management and the Agile Mindset has been explored in business as a management model. This paper aimed to carry out a bibliometric analysis of Lean Agile management, pointing out trends in scientific research. To this end, an exploratory and descriptive study was developed, with a quantitative approach and based on secondary data from the Web of science and Scopus, between 1994 and 2022. Bibliometric indicators pointed to 1808 different papers in 897 sources, with 18 citations per paper, and higher scientific productivity of U.S. (276), India (221), and UK (191), with production peaks in 2018 and 2021, suggesting the diffusion and contemporaneity of the research topic. The laws of bibliometrics were not met for this research subject, and dense networks of collaboration and co-citation among researchers were identified, mainly in four application domains, including supply chain, manufacturing, sustainability, and software development as corroborated by the word network.

Alue Naga Beach and Ulee Lheue Beach are beaches located in Banda Aceh City, Aceh Province, these two beaches have a fairly large role in the fields of fisheries, transportation, and tourism. During the last few years, the population growth rate of Banda Aceh City has increased by 2% per year, this causes the volume of waste generated to be even greater, unfortunately, the municipal waste management office cannot manage it fully. Most of the untreated waste enters water bodies and has the potential to pollute the marine and coastal environment. So it is necessary to do research to provide an overview of the level of marine debris pollution on the two beaches. This study uses the transect method, the waste obtained is grouped according to size and type. The results showed that marine debris on Ulee Lheue beach was found to be more numerous and varied than marine debris on Alue Naga beach. Overall, macro waste with a size range of 2.5−1 m was the most commonly found and plastic was the waste with the highest yield with a density value of 65.8 g/m2, an abundance of 6.56 items/m2, and a percentage of 75%. © 2022

Utilizing biomass waste as a potential resource for cellulose production holds promise in mitigating environmental *** current study aims to utilize pineapple biowaste extract in producing bacterial cellulose acetate-based membranes with magnetic nanoparticles(Fe_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles)through the fermentation and esterification process and explore its *** bacterial cellulose fibrillation used a high-pressure homogenization procedure,and membranes were developed incorporating 0.25,0.50,0.75,and 1.0 wt.%of Fe3O4 nanoparticles as magnetic nanoparticle for *** membrane characteristics were measured in terms of Scanning Electron Microscope,X-ray diffraction,Fourier Transform Infrared,Vibrating Sample Magnetometer,antibacterial activity,bacterial adhesion and dye adsorption *** results indicated that the surface morphology of membrane changes where the bacterial cellulose acetate surface looks *** crystallinity index of membrane increased from 54.34%to 68.33%,and the functional groups analysis revealed that multiple peak shifts indicated alterations in membrane functional ***,adding Fe_(3)O_(4)-NPs into membrane exhibits paramagnetic behavior,increases tensile strength to 73%,enhances activity against *** and ***,and is successful in removing bacteria from wastewater of the river to 67.4%and increases adsorption for anionic dyes like Congo Red and Acid Orange.
