In 2000 he was selected as “Outstanding Alumni for Organizational Contribution” Executive Potential Program Leadership Development Academy USDA Graduate School. He is a retired reserve lieutenant commander commissioned in 1976 from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute NROTC program with a bachelors of engineering in nuclear engineering and minor in history and political science. He graduated in 1997 from the Naval War College College of Naval Command and Staff through the Non-Resident Seminar Program. He graduated in 1999 from the USDA Graduate School Leadership Development Academy Executive Potential Program. He is a member of the Defense Leadership and Management Program (DLAMP) 2000 Cohort. He is currently completing a one year rotation in the Office of Technology Transition of the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition Technology and Logistics). JOHN E. FLYNN is a captain in the naval reserve and has completed his fourth command tour. He recently served as the battle force operations and engineering leader for PEO Theater Surface Combatants participation in Joint and service wargames exercises and experiments. Previously he was the first head of modeling and simulation in the AEGIS Program Office where he pioneered the use of distributed modeling and simulation. He served at NSWC White Oak as head of the system design and technical direction agent groups for the MK 116 Mod 7 ASW control system. He graduated from Villanova University and was commissioned via NROTC. He served sea duty aboard USS Forrestal (CV-59) and USS Coontz (DDG-40).He has a BS in computer science from the University of Maryland. He graduated with highest distinction from the Naval War College. He completed Old Dominion University's strategic studies graduate program. He is a Catholic University Law School graduate and member of the Maryland Bar.

作者: Vogt, Christopher J. Novick, Peter CHRIS VOGT from the Office of Naval Research is currently the Naval Research Science Advisor for Commander U.S. Seventh Fleet homeported in Yokosuka Japan. His previous assignment was Science Advisor at the Navy Warfare Development Command Newport RI. There he led counter-proliferation-related experimentation in the Navy's Fleet battle experiment program. He previously served as Science Advisor at COMUSNAVCENT where he focused on force protection coalition operations Joint air operations and missile defense. He was named Naval Science Advisor of the Year in 1998 and is recipient of the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award. PETE NOVICK is Emergency Management and CBR-D Officer for Commander U.S. Naval Forces Japan the regional commander with shore installation management responsibility for Japan and Diego Garcia. Prior to this he was a career Navy surface warfare officer and SECDEF designated joint staff officer with proven subspecialties in naval engineering and politico-military affairs. Prior to serving as the technical director of the David Taylor Research Center Mr. Metrey held key positions in the Navy secretariat among them serving as the deputy assistant secretary of the Navy for surface warfare and the principal advisor to the assistant secretary of the Navy (research engineering and systems). He holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Marquette University Milwaukee Wisconsin and a master of science degree in mechanical engineer-ing from George Washington University Washington D.C. DR. SCOTT C. TRUVER is group vice president National Security Studies Anteon Corporation and directs the Center for Security Strategies and Operations in Anteon's Systems Engineering Group. Since 1972 he has participated in numerous studies for government and private industry in the United States and abroad he has also written extensively for U.S. and foreign publications. He has supported key offices in the Navy Secretariat Office of the Chief of Naval Operations and Headquarters U.S. Marine Corps Navy Systems Commands and laboratories and other Navy and Marine Corps commands and activities. Dr. Truver holds a doctor of philosophy degree in marine policy studies (1978)—the first Ph.D. in this field ever awarded by an institute of higher education—and a master of arts degree in political science and international relations (1974) from the University of Delaware where he held research and university fellowships.
