In novel learning environments, learning systems not only are able to get environmental information through sensing technology to provide adaptive learning resources and information to students, but also help students to conduct interactions with learning communities. In this study, the development potential of digital archives resource into outdoor environmental education is focused with mobile learning-based educational theory. It makes the learner learn the essence of environmental education, in order to appreciate the valuable resources of nature paid to understand the sustainable necessary of ecological coexistence, thus promote the human treasure of natural resources. To verify the feasibility of our approach, the grade students participate the cooperative learning activity. The experimental results show that the effect of mobile community interactive learning is better than the general outdoor learning methods and the cooperative learning theory can improve the efficiency of learners' knowledge effectively. © 2012 IEEE.

Nowadays, the use of accelerators in high performance computing has become more common than ever before. The most used accelerators must be the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). It has emerged as an important component in most of the parallel computing scenarios, surpassing the capabilities of the traditional Central Processing Unit (CPU) in perspective of both performance and energy efficiency.

In wireless body sensor networks, sensors may be installed on various body limbs to wirelessly collect body information for homecare services. The orientations and accelerations on each limb are different for various motion states. For example, each limb has different acceleration when walking versus running, and orientation when standing versus lying. According to the above information, the body motion state may be decided. Furthermore, each person has unique body characteristics such as height, foot pitch, and motion habit to effect the body reconstruction. Therefore, it is a challenging issue how to present human motions through 3D skeleton system simulation, and achieve an adaptive reconstruction of human motion on wireless body sensor networks according to the different body characteristics of each person. In this study, we proposed a novel scheme to utilize multiple triple axis accelerometer and gyroscopes to measure limb accelerations, then calculated the locations of limbs and try to employ kinematic theory to reconstruct human body skeleton, called 3D Adaptive human Motion Reconstruction (AMR). And we applied Body Correction Algorithm (BCA) to correct human body characteristics and filtered the error of transmission noise. This system was tested and validated with success. © 2011 IEEE.

This research aims to explain the use of social media based on OpenAI technology in the 2024 Presidential Election in Indonesia. The methodology used is based on a descriptive qualitative study with primary and secondary data analysis techniques. Primary data was obtained through interviews with academician in the fields of political marketing and academician in the fields of information technology. secondary data was obtained through several journal literatures and official websites related to the research topic. The validity of the data is obtained through source triangulation based on interview data from different informants and documentation studies to obtain valid information. This study found that the use of AI-based social media is based on the advantages of OpenAI's more sophisticated technological features, fast and real-time data analysis capabilities, and content visualization capability of image rebranding. © 2024 IEEE.

With the increased worldwide popularity of social networking services (sNss), the leakage of a user's private information is becoming a serious problem. An increased number of users now have multiple accounts on various social networks and they tend to use each account to write different user experiments. Aggregating information from different accounts leads to the unintended leakage of personal information. Therefore, we argue that sNs users should be vigilant in protecting the relationship between multiple accounts. In this paper, we propose the use of Account Reachability, a measure of privacy risk which demonstrates the possibility of a stranger finding a user's private account based on information in their public account. In addition, we present ARChecker, a tool to calculate the value of account reachability. ARChecker also provides advice on how to modify the user's profiles and messages to decrease the privacy risk. By checking the privacy measure and modifying the profiles and messages of their sNs accounts, users can protect their multiple accounts from the risk of an unintended leakage of personal information. © 2013 ACM.

Problem-based learning (PBL) is a well-known active learning approach, and it is becoming increasingly popular in computing. The computer Engineering undergraduate program at UEFs adopts PBL since 2003. Previous studies thoroughly describe PBL course design and practices, but there is a lack of reports about the teaching experience, i.e., how faculty live the process of teaching PBL courses. Thus, we took advantage of this PBL experience to uncover such issues. We developed an interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) to learn the essences of being a PBL teacher, using a qualitative research methodology. Data collection and analysis entailed semi-structured interviews with five UEFs computer engineering professors, interview transcription and memo writing, open coding, code memo writing, code grouping and abstraction, and description of essences. Results led to the following essences: 1) feedback is essential for student success;2) PBL develops better students and professionals;3) assessment is complex and multifaceted;4) developing good problems is a difficult skill;5) PBL requires strong teacher engagement and background;6) it is essential to keep a motivating scenario;and 7) good coordination and group dynamics is required. In this paper, we describe the four first essences in detail. © 2015 IEEE.

Recently, a method for estimating permittivity distributions was reported. The method combined a numerical technique (Finite Element Method) with Genetic Algorithm (GA). However, methods for estimating the distribution of permittivity have not yet been established. The purpose of this study is to obtain experimental data in order to improve the estimation method. We measured capacitance and electrical potential of plural points when an acrylic rod is placed in various positions within a measurement system. © 2013 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

This study proposed a novel extraction method of c-Fos protein regions in DAB(3,3'-diaminobenzidine)-stained mouse brain slice images using the U-Net model combined with the multi-channelization and 1×1 convolution techniques. Our U-Net m odel, called 1× 1 conv U-Net, was applied to three DAB- strainedmouse slice images whose resolutions were 1000x1000 pixels. The experimental results demonstrated that the 1×1 conv U-Net outperformed the conventional U-Net. © 2024 IEEE.
