Eye-tracking studies focused on art galleries and museums within the realm of Instagram, especially in the Indonesian context, are notably scant. This investigation elucidates the user interaction and experience of the art gallery’s Instagram account, @galerinasional. Employing a quantitative approach, we implemented eye-tracking experiments using the well-known online eye-tracking software RealEye. The study participants were followers of the National Gallery of Indonesia’s (Galnas) Instagram profile, seven women and three men, in two age brackets: 18–24 years (n = 5) and 25–34 years (n = 5). The experimental protocol required participants to execute five tasks centered on locating exhibition details and artwork on the Galnas Instagram platform, with a duration of 100 s allocated to each task. The Participant Quality Grade (PQG), examination duration, optimal browser dimensionality, K-factor mean, gaze and fixation frequencies, and heat maps were determined for the participants. The key findings are as follows. (1) The participants’ PQG scores were predominantly between 4 and 6. (2) Investigative browsing typically exceeded the 100-s limit. (3) The consensus on the ideal browser dimensions hovered around 1,368.6 × 814.8 px. (4) The K-factor mean across participants tended toward K > 0. (5) The average gaze occurrence was 27 items per second for most participants. (6) A noticeable disparity in fixation counts was observed between the two age groups, with individuals aged 25–34 demonstrating prolonged engagement with Galnas’ content. This article is about the information needs and information-seeking behaviors of community college and lower division undergraduates. The students in the studies were either four year lower division or community college students. The majority of the students studied were average college age students between eighteen and twenty two-years old. A few studies considered students that were older than the average college age. These were important to include because more and more students are older when they begin, or decide to go back, to college.

This paper presents an advanced method for addressing the inverse kinematics and optimal path planning challenges in robot manipulators. The inverse kinematics problem involves determining the joint angles for a given position and orientation of the end-effector. Furthermore, the path planning problem seeks a trajectory between two points. Traditional approaches in computer algebra have utilized Gröbner basis computations to solve these problems, offering a global solution but at a high computational cost. To overcome the issue, the present authors have proposed a novel approach that employs the Comprehensive Gröbner system (CGs) and CGs-based quantifier elimination (CGs-QE) methods to efficiently solve the inverse kinematics problem and certify the existence of solutions for trajectory planning. This paper extends these methods by incorporating smooth curves via cubic spline interpolation for path planning and optimizing joint configurations using shortest path algorithms to minimize the sum of joint configurations along a trajectory. This approach significantly enhances the manipulator's ability to navigate complex paths and optimize movement sequences. © 2024 CEUR-Ws. All rights reserved.

This paper discusses the trajectory planning of a robot manipulator with computer algebra. In the operation of robot manipulators, it is important to make the trajectory of the end effector so that it does not collide with obstacles. For this purpose, we have proposed a method of generating a method of trajectory planning using cubic spline curves. However, the method has the disadvantage that the trajectory may not be included in the feasible region of the manipulator, thus an extra test for the inclusion of the curve is needed. In this paper, we propose a new method of generating a trajectory using Bézier curves, which is guaranteed to be included in the feasible region. © 2024 CEUR-Ws. All rights reserved.

We propose a method for solving the speech direction estimation problem by computer algebra. The method is based on the function approximation using the minimax polynomial. The minimax polynomial is obtained by an iterative method called the Remez exchange algorithm, in which Gröbner bases computation is employed. We present an effective way to compute the minimax polynomial using Gröbner bases. © 2024 CEUR-Ws. All rights reserved.

EDITOR's sUMMARY In a digital age, it is very difficult to maintain complete privacy when posting on social media or making purchases. Individual activity on the internet is increasingly collected by corporations, even with the user's knowledge, and can be used to predict future behavior, purchasing choices or other sensitive subjects. This data analysis is often done without a user's consent and in many cases presents unethical behavior and breaches of privacy. In the world of libraries, the privacy of patrons has been tantamount for decades, but trying to keep up with privacy codes and still make use of this big data can be challenging for librarians. Big data can be beneficial to libraries in many ways, and if pointed at library systems, rather than the habits of patrons, can also keep privacy intact.

The cancellation of in-person classes in March 2020 due to COVID-19 caused a sudden shift in the educational experiences of health profession students enrolled at the University of Michigan (U-M). With the move to remote learning, educators engaging in interprofessional education (IPE) were faced with the challenge of preparing students for interprofessional collaboration from a distance. A survey was designed to investigate the impact of the pandemic on IPE practices and discover educator development needs. Faculty and staff from 10 health sciences schools within the U-M and Michigan Medicine were invited to complete a survey investigating their use of IPE competencies prior to, during, and after the pandemic;their development needs;and their ideas for future implementation of IPE and collaborative practice. Fifty-six percent of respondents reported their ability to teach IPE competencies was impacted by changes related to COVID. There was a significant (p ≤ 0.001) difference between self-report of incorporating IPE competencies prior to and during pandemic and during and into the future across all five competencies. Technology was reported as a challenge when teaching IPE, and a need for future faculty development. Leveraging virtual and case-based learning and increasing collaboration between schools were identified as ideas for future implementation. © 2022 Elsevier Inc.
