Mapping the Scientific Landscape of Integrated Scheduling Towards Industry 5.0 with A Bibliometric Analysis

The industry is rapidly transitioning from the 4.0 era to the 5.0 era, prompting renewed interest among scholars in scheduling problems. They allow operations to process and assemble various components simultaneously. This bibliometric analysis provides a comprehensive understanding of the diverse research perspectives on the potential challenges of integrated scheduling within the framework. We identified 357 Scopus articles and analysed co-occurrence keyword (CNK) by VOSViewer tools and Global Citation Score (GCS) by Scopus tools. The research data obtained from 1993 to 2023 mainly in the subject areas of Engineering, computer science, Maths, and others. CNK identified six cluster keywords, and nine most cited articles based on normalised GCS. These results contribute to our understanding of the development of scheduling algorithms, shifting from an emphasis on manufacturing transfers to contemporary demand-centric research directions. Furthermore, this research provides a valuable perspective for policymakers, plant personnel, and manufacturing managers to make informed decisions.

Lilies are popular in the global flower market, but consumers often lack information about specific varieties. To address this issue, this paper proposes a computer recognition platform based on the Vision Transformer (ViT) architecture. The proposed platform uses an improved vision transformer (ViT) architecture to classify different types of lilies, allowing consumers to access information and names of various Lilium species. The experimental results show that the proposed lily classification model achieved a 96.4% accuracy rate in classifying six lily species.

A Self-Healing WDM Access Network with Protected Fiber and FSO Link Paths Effective Against Fiber Breaks

In this article, an additional protected fiber and free-space optical (FSO) link path is proposed, to provide self-healing capabilities for protection against fiber faults in wavelength division multiplexed passive optical network (WDM-PON) systems. The new optical line terminal (OLT), remote node (RN), and optical network unit (ONU) in the presented PON architecture result in self-protective function against fiber breakpoints. In the measurement, 25 Gbit/s on-off keying (OOK) modulation was applied on each WDM channel to assess the downstream and upstream signals after 25 km single-mode fiber (SMF) and 25 km SMF + 2 m FSO connections, respectively. In addition to using protected fiber paths for self-healing operations. This PON system can also apply the FSO link method. The measured bit error rate (BER) for all downstream and upstream traffic was maintained below 3.8 × 10−3 with forward error correction (FEC). The detected optical power sensitivity of the proposed self-restorative fiber- and FSO-based WDM-PON for downstream and upstream WDM signals ranged from −33.5 to −28.5 dBm and from −33 to −28.5 dBm, respectively, and the corresponding power budgets of the downstream and upstream WDM signals were between 29.5 and 30.5 dB and 33 and 38 dB, respectively. © 2025 by the authors.

This paper describes the implementation and evaluation of an RC polyphase filter (RCPF) and circuitry for measuring its frequency characteristics. The integrated circuit is fabricated on a 0.6 µm CMOS process and its supply voltage is 5 V. The integrated circuit includes a filter under test (FUT), a four-phase square wave generator, several analog switches and differential amplifiers to amplify the high-impedance signals of the RCPF. This FUT is a third-order complex RCPF whose passband is 8 − 40 MHz. This paper describes the design of these circuits in detail. This integrated circuit can select two measurement methods by means of external control signals. The first method uses a four-phase square wave. The frequency characteristics are measured by using an on-chip four-phase square wave generator driven by an external clock generator and by a spectrum analyzer tuned to the fundamental frequency. The second method uses an external network analyzer. Furthermore, this integrated circuit is equipped with a calibration circuit to measure the frequency characteristics of the circuitry except FUT by passing through the input / output signals of the FUT. As a result, the frequency characteristics of the FUT itself can be accurately measured. The effectiveness is confirmed through evaluation of the fabricated integrated circuit. © 2025 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

A Practical Extension of Computational Complexity Theory for Applications in Mathematics and sciences

Computable analysis extends classical computability theory to continuous domains, investigating the computability and complexity of problems in mathematical analysis. In this paper, we develop a framework for analyzing the complexity of mathematical problems across various fields by constructing highly efficient many-one reductions. For example, we show that the equivalence-to-identically-zero-function problem is reducible to determining whether the Jacobian determinant of a set of functions is identically zero, whether a Fredholm integral equation of the first kind has no eigenvalue, whether a Fredholm integral equation of the second kind has a trivial solution, whether the gradient of a function is identically zero, whether all finite orbits are closed in a given potential, and whether the Poisson bracket of two functions vanishes. Building on prior undecidability and productiveness (a stronger form of non-recursive enumerability) results for the equivalence-to-identically-zero-function problem, we establish that these problems are productive for specific classes of elementary functions. Furthermore, we explore potential approaches for applying classical complexity classes, such as NP, PSPACE, and EXPTIME, to computable analysis by leveraging the efficiency of our reductions. Our results provide a unified proof technique for analyzing complexity across different scientific domains, offering a practical extension of computational complexity theory to continuous mathematical structures. © 2025, The Authors. The importance of silicon cannot be undermined - in photovoltaics (PV) as well as in semiconductor industries. However, silicon is very brittle. Silicon cells/wafers crack easily during manufacturing assembly and/or during device operations. Crack Catcher AI uses novel smart fracture mechanics approach with Artificial Intelligence (AI) methodologies to predict and control crack/damage evolution in thin silicon cells/wafers. This is critical as semiconductor 3D integration technology calls for wafer-to-wafer bonding with utmost alignment accuracy and yield/reliability.

In this study,we utilize a potentially versatile Bayesian parameter approach to compute the value of the pion charge radius and quantify its uncertainty from several experimental e^(+)e^(-) datasets for the pion vector form *** employ dispersion relations to model the pion vector form factor to extract the *** model selection is used to determine the order of polynomial appearing in the form factor formulation that can be supported by the data,adapting the computation of Bayes evidence and Bayesian effective complexity based on Occam's *** findings indicate that five out of six used datasets favor the nine-parameter model for radius extraction,and accordingly,we average the radii from the *** some inconsistencies with the most updated radius values,our approach may serve as a more intuitive method of addressing parameter estimations in dispersion theory.

NoSQL database has gained popularity in Big Data and other various applications for its simplicity and flexibility. The non-relational nature of NoSQL database such as MongoDB proves to improve development lifecycles and resources efficiency. However, security challenges arise along with increasing usage of NoSQL database, and NoSQL database is no exception to injection attacks. Machine learning proved to be an efficient method, as much has been researched. However, in the future there may be an increasing complexity of features that may prove costly to the model’s performance. Therefore, this research aims to utilize principal component analysis as dimensionality reduction and deep neural network as the classification method, to improve the security of NoSQL database. The text query is converted to feature vectors then further processed to reduce the input dimension of the deep neural network using PCA. The features used are based on previous research and various sources, and some are added after analyzing the dataset.10-fold cross validation is also applied to ensure that the model does not overfit the data, attempting to reduce bias to the result. The 10-fold cross validation model accuracy result is in average 97.44% with a standard deviation of 1.7%, and the testing results are 97.5% in accuracy,95.65% in precision, 91.67% in recall, and 93.61% in F1 score. Thus, it can be concluded that the usage of PCA on injection feature vectors can reduce complexity of the model. © 2024 IEEE.

Recently, the number of people who have trouble sleeping is on the rise. It results in an increase in the number of car accidents, lower productivity and a higher risk of chronic disease. Advancing wearable and contactless health sensors offers the possibility of daily sleep quality monitoring that can be done on a regular basis by patients in their homes. The goal of this research is to propose the design of an Internet-of-Things (IoT) sleep quality monitoring system that can be integrated with a wearable or contactless sensor. The proposed platform architecture is based on micro-services and is event-driven. The simulation results show that the implementation of the IoT sleep quality monitoring system based on the proposed design decreases the response time by 55.85 per cent while increasing the throughput by 34.76 per cent compared to the traditional approach. On the other hand, the rate of increase in memory usage per instance replication for proposed method is lower than the traditional method. © 2020 IEEE.

This paper describes a tool for Knuth-Bendix completion. In its interactive mode the user only has to select the orientation of equations into rewrite rules;all other computations (including necessary termination checks) are performed internally. Apart from the interactive mode, the tool also provides a fully automatic mode. Moreover, the generation of (dis)proofs in equational logic is supported. Finally, the tool outputs proofs in a certifiable format. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
