Identifying Patterns in Dental Visit Attendance Among Pregnant Women: A Retrospective Cohort Study

Introduction: Understanding the factors influencing dental care utilization is crucial for enhancing treatment adherence and outcomes. This study evaluates dental care–seeking patterns among pregnant women in low-income community. Methods: The authors analyzed data from 311 pregnant patients and 1,111 visits (2019–2022) synchronized from dental and medical records. The primary outcome was showing up for scheduled dental visits. To identify visit-attending patterns, the authors used a model-based clustering method to cluster longitudinal data with categorical outcomes. A penalized generalized linear mixed-effects model was applied to identify relevant variables for the visit attendance trajectories within each cluster. Results: The study participants comprised 49.6% Black, 32.2% White, and 12.5% Hispanic women. The majority (89.07%) were holding Medicaid insurance. Among the 1,111 scheduled visits, 432 resulted in no-shows (38.8%), including failed and canceled appointments. The authors identified 3 distinct clusters of visit-attending patterns on the basis of their show-up rates: low demand/low appointment risk (85% attendance), high demand/high appointment risk (57% attendance despite multiple scheduled visits), and moderate demand/high appointment risk (55% attendance with fewer scheduled visits). Various determinants, such as race;age;inner-city residence;appointment timing;the COVID-19 era;type of scheduled dental treatment;and prior medical visits for conditions such as anxiety, depression, hypertension, and allergies, influenced the visit-attending behaviors within each patient group. Conclusions: The innovative clustering approach of this study successfully identified dental care–seeking patterns among pregnant women, suggesting its applicability to a broader demographic. Identifying potential modifiable factors that could enhance attendance at dental visits is essential for improving oral healthcare outcomes among underserved pregnant patients. © 2025 The Au

Many companies are redefining their business strategies to improve the business output. Business over internet provides the opportunity to customers and partners where their products and specific business can be found. Web usage mining is the type of web mining activity that involves the automatic discovery of user access patterns from web servers. A real-world challenging task of the web master of an organization is to match the needs of user and keep their attention in their web site. So, web pages can capture the intuition of the user and provide them with the recommendation list. Personalize e-commerce website is done after knowing the habits and behavior patterns of customers e-commerce website using web usage mining with association rules mining apriori algorithms. The method used is a method of analysis and design. In the method of analysis, research variables are determined, and data of sales are collected. In addition, the method of analysis is also performed to measure the accuracy of the apriori algorithm. Designing apriori, program design, and the design of the screen is done in the design method. Results are achieved in the form of an e-commerce website that is personalized using association rules mining apriori algorithm that can recommend the goods in accordance with the preferences and needs of the user. The conclusion of this study is to obtain patterns of association, it takes the data transactions made by customers and the recommendations given by the apriori algorithm would be more accurate if the transaction data is processed more, the categories of goods are fewer, the limit minimum value of support and the limit minimum value of confidence are high. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

Containerization has become a popular approach in application development in applications development and deployment, many benefits we can get such as improved scalability, portability, and resource efficiency. Container-based applications, utilizing technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, have transformed the packaging, deployment, and management of software from the desktop environment to the cloud platform. In this context, software metrics approach plays a good role in evaluating the characteristics and performance of container-based applications, ensuring that developers and operators are on the same page. This article explores the importance of software metrics in optimizing the software lifecycle of container-based applications, addressing the unique challenges they present, and highlighting the potential benefits of leveraging metrics to improve performance and efficiency. Our finding Performance Metrics and Availability Metrics is the most metrics that the most measure by applications owner, relevant studies and industry practices, this study aims to provide insights and recommendations to effectively measure and optimize region-based software systems. © 2023 IEEE.

The increasing amount of data that need to be processed in a company are affecting the performances of the database system. Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) is a commonly used database system, but also known to having a decreased performance when handling high amount of data. N oSQL is an alternative storage option that is different than RDBMS and known for faster performance when handling high amount of data. In this contribution, we compare the performances between RDBMS MySQL and a hybrid model of MySQL and NoSQL MongoDB when being used on a web application. We implemented a simple social media website to evaluate the performance of using different database models. The website is equipped with chat and profile view features. Experiments are performed using randomly generated user profiles and chat data. Based on our evaluations, the hybrid database of MySQL and MongoDB achieves higher read and write performances than the MySQL alone. Meanwhile MySQL can handle more sensitive data and maintaining data consistency. The hybrid model database MySQL and MongoDB uses less disk space than MySQL alone, but uses more RAM. We also observed that there is not much difference in CPU usage for both database models. © 2018 IEEE.

An integrated approach is necessary for implementing a model that involves multiple actors. One effective way to achieve this is through a service-oriented approach. The objective of the study was to develop a service-oriented fuzzy model, which combines the functional-structural plant modelling (FSPM) method for the plant computational model (PCM) and the fuzzy logic method for both PCM and the decision support model (DSM). This combined method aims to model the plant behaviour morphologically and propose investment decisions in agriculture, specifically for the hydroponic cultivation of Bok Choy, a green-leaf vegetable. The accuracy of the interconnected model application based on the service concept, known as the service-oriented fuzzy smart model (SOFSM), reached 94.33%. © 2023 IEEE.

This study investigates emotion detection on tweets written in the Indonesian language, using the IndoBERT model that has been trained for 50 epochs. The examination conducted in this study provides a comprehensive analysis of the performance dynamics shown by the model. The assessment results provide an accuracy score of 0.74, indicating the model's proficiency in identifying sentiments within the collection of tweets. By using assessment criteria such as accuracy, recall, and the F1-score, the model's comprehensive analytical ability is validated, emphasizing its effectiveness in deciphering various emotional circumstances. The accuracy, recall, and F1-score of the model, with average values of 0.79, 0.78, and 0.78 respectively, combined demonstrate its resilience in accurately capturing subtle emotional subtleties. This study enhances our comprehension of language model applications in the field of emotional intelligence by exploring the complexities of sentiment analysis. It emphasizes the practical value of these applications in real-world scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

Social media is an online media that functions as a platform for users to participate, share, create, and exchange information through various forums and social networks. The rapid increase in social media activity causes an increase in the number of comments on social media. This is prone to triggering debate due to the easy formation of open discussions between social media users. However, the debate often triggers the emergence of negative things, causing great fights on social media. Social media users often use comments containing toxic words to argue and corner a party or group. This study conducted an experiment to detect comments containing toxic sentences on social media in Indonesia using a Pre-Trained Model that was trained for Indonesian. This study performed a multilabel classification and evaluated the classification results generated by the Multilingual BERT (MBERT), IndoBERT, and Indo Roberta Small models. The optimal result of this study is to use the IndoBERT model with an F1 Score of 0.8897. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

Anticipating stock market movements is challenging, as hasty prediction risks large financial losses. Stock price prediction is complex due to the high volatility and many influencing external factors. Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) models are made to learn time series data making it ideal for stock prediction based on records. Well-known RNN architectures for forecasting problems are Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM) and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU). However, past studies only explored standalone models and have not generated convincing performance results. By integrating the efficiency of GRU to effectively handle shorter data sequences with LSTM's ability to capture long-term dependencies, our model aims to improve stock price forecasting accuracy by collaborating the strength between both architectures. The proposed model was used to forecast multivariate stock prices and evaluated using Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE). We found that parallelization of LSTM-GRU offers better prediction, up to 9.1% improvement compared to sequential LSTM-GRU and Bidirectional LSTM (Bi-LSTM). © 2024 IEEE.

Automation testing is essential to carry out functional testing quickly and precisely. Software testing is beneficial for testers doing many testing processes according to the existing scenarios. So, there is an urgency to explore a more advanced solution to replace the traditional approach. Silk Test Workbench is a tool for automation testing that can accelerate the functional testing of complex applications. For this research, we proposed automation testing on website applications with various testing scenarios that have been made. The visual test recording method is used for automation testing with Silk Test Workbench. Silk Test Workbench can speed up testing time, make a good test asset testing scenario, make it easier for users to do testing, and speed up the process to get the result in the form of a screen capture of the testing process. A comparison of testing time has been performed. The automatic testing time with the scenarios is 2 hours 46 minutes. The automatic testing time will be 2 hours 36 minutes using the all-in-one scenario. This study also used questionnaires from colleagues in the Quality Assurance field to get maximum User Acceptance Test results. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

The need to run various media through one infrastructure is the primary reason of the emergence of converged network. The reason is because company wants to reduce investment and maintenance cost by investing on single integrated network rather than traditional separated telecommunication, broadcasting and internet network. In this research, we use top down network design approach to create converged network design that tailored to fulfill the requirement from business and technical aspects. It is started by analyzing design requirement, perform logical and physical design, and perform design testing. Both data and voice traffic should be working well in converged network. In order to optimize the network design, the quality of service (QoS) will be considered. It will be used to accomodate various kind of traffic in this network. Simulation and experiment results show that the proposed network design can satisfy required QoS of converged service network. The proposed network design also performs better availability compared to the existing network design. © 2018 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
