According to statistics of the Ministry of Health and Welfare (Taiwan) in 2016, the first of Top Ten causes of death was cancer. In this category, percentages of trachea, bronchus and lung cancer were the highest. Thus, it is particularly important to study the disease. Coverage rate of national health insurance in Taiwan is up to 99.6%. Database of the national health insurance includes insurance information of the public. It is currently the mostly complete, mature and continuous clinical medial empirical data. With precise data and sufficient samples, they become the most appropriate and precise data for prediction of effectiveness of clinical illness treatment and comorbidity analysis. This study focuses on non-small cell lung cancer. It obtains cancer registration files from two million files in database of national health insurance, and screens patients who have suffered from ICD C33-34 "trachea, bronchus and lung cancer". It then connects with OPDTE of outpatient services of national health insurance to include factors of comorbidity of disease in model design and treat DEATH as analytical figure after treatment and prognosis. By linear and non-linear data mining, it studies effects of different therapies on survival rate of lung cancer patients in three years and establishes prediction model. Through Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Logistic Regression (LR), this study successfully establishes prediction model of survival rate of treatment of non-small cell lung cancer. When the best point of LR model: Sensitivity = 77.3 and Specificity = 73.8, it includes 81% (AUROC, Area Under ROC curve) of model precision rate. When the best point of ANN model: Sensitivity = 77.6 and Specificity = 76.8, it can include 83% (AUROC) model precision rate. It shows that model precision rate of ANN is higher than logistic regression model. © 2019, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The study uses machine learning to determine the accuracy of different algorithms for predicting MetS. Early prediction of MetS through routine health screening is an important goal for preventive medicine. The subjects in this study were employees aged 20 to 65 years old who signed a consent form for in-hospital health screening data were collected from 2015 to 2020. Total of 3538 individuals who underwent health screening were included in this study. Baseline characteristics of the 315 participants diagnosed with metabolic syndrome and 3222 participants without metabolic syndrome. This is a machine learning approach to identify metabolic syndrome using biochemical values and lifestyle habits. We found that the F1 score for detection of metabolic syndrome by neural network is the most accurate and higher compared to other models. Our study also identified some new indicators, including heart rhythm, RBC, WBC, Hb, and uric acid, as candidates for better detection of metabolic syndrome.

Sports science can have a significant and positive impact on coaches and athletes, as well as for the professional sports organization. According to this situation, more and more organizations are competing to implement sports science as the monitoring systems. Along with the development of technology, it becomes easier for humans to carry out their activities, including communication with each other. Advances in the field of communication technologies have led to the use of social networks to support all activity. With social media, all kinds of information that people want to search for can be found easily. Social networks have their uniqueness in their characteristics. Like LINE has free calling and video calling features, while Instagram has features like Instagram Story, where users can document their activities in the form of photos or recordings. By all the characteristics of social networks, it will support the activity of sports science. The methodology of this research focused on quantitative research based on the T-test approach. The result shows that social media involvement can significantly support collaboration in sports science, so it can increase people's motivation to interact with other participants in sport organizations.

Global warming due to excessive emission greenhouse gases is a significant issue faced by humanity, and collectively, cars and trucks contribute about 20% to the entire global-warming gases. For a reason, recently, many attempts have been endured to reduce the emission and to increase fuel efficiency, including vehicle platooning, better driving strategy, and increasing engine efficiency. This study intends to provide a more detail assessment regarding the effects of the driving strategy to fuel consumption. For the purpose, the vehicle dynamics are quantified by employing the car-following model based on the optimal velocity model. The fuel consumption is estimated from the regression model of Ahn 18 . The result suggests that the braking distance strongly affects fuel consumption.

Matrix factorization (MF) technique has been widely utilized in recommendation systems due to the precise prediction of users' interests. Prior MF-based methods adapt the overall rating to make the recommendation by extracting latent factors from users and items. However, in real applications, people's preferences usually vary with time;the traditional MF-based methods could not properly capture the change of users' interests. In this paper, by incorporating the recurrent neural network (RNN) into MF, we develop a novel recommendation system, M-RNN-F, to effectively describe the preference evolution of users over time. A learning model is proposed to capture the evolution pattern and predict the user preference in the future. The experimental results show that M-RNN-F performs better than other state-of-the-art recommendation algorithms. In addition, we conduct the experiments on real world dataset to demonstrate the practicability. © 2019 IEEE.

Classification of the Structural Integrity by the General Vibration Method

Traditionally, for the purpose of classifying the integrity of an engineering structure, one may use the information of the natural frequencies or mode shapes or some other measures derived from the two. In this research, we propose a classification method on the basis of the general vibration model. The general vibration model is essentially a set of differential equations describing the dynamics of the structure under consideration. For the purpose of damage detection, a deviation of the general vibration model from the dynamic equilibrium point marks the occurrence of the damage. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the method, we study two simplest dynamical systems consisting of one- and two-concentrated masses subjected to a prescribed dynamic load. The structural damages are introduced artificially by reducing the stiffness of spring in the structures. We find that the general vibration model is more sensitive to damages than the traditional methods.

Sustainability of the Water Footprint of Various Soil Types on Oil Palm Plantations

There are significant studies that have quantified oil palm water footprint as an indicator of environmental sustainability but an estimation of water footprint under varying soil types furthermore is still limited. The objectives of the study were to estimate whether annual variations of soil type and yields significantly effects for the oil palm water footprint. The data from three types of soil (spodosol, inceptisol, ultisol) were collected from an oil palm plantation in Pundu village, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. To perform the water footprint analysis we utilize water balance accounting equations via application Cropwat 8.0. From that, we determine the crop irrigation scheduling to compute the blue, green, and grey water footprint of oil palm fresh fruit bunch in the area. Our analysis found that the actual evapotranspiration of spodosol and inceptisol have the same value: 1242 mm/year whilst ultisol is 1239 mm/year. The total water footprint of oil palm varied considerably with the largest value being 1310.04 m3/ton for ultisol. The actual evapotranspiration of spodosol and inceptisol have the same value of 1242 mm/year whilst ultisol is 1239 mm/year. The higher production resulted in a lower water footprint and vice versa. Moreover, the total water footprint from ultisol soil type has the highest value due to the lowest yields. The difference in evapotranspiration value resulted in the insignificant value of total water footprint. The lower water availability, the lower water use, and the higher actual irrigation requirement in oil palm plantation yet showed the unnotable impact on water footprint in different soil types for the oil palm plantation.

Application architecture and information technology systems in the company should be able to support the company's policy that leads to their alignment with the business objectives. As a company engaged in IT consulting, project management system is one form of application systems that support core business objective of the company: to produce high-quality software. Nevertheless, the project management system should be able to work together with other supporting information systems, so that the flow of information within the company can run effectively. To achieve these objectives, required the analysis and design of an integrated system, which can be achieved through a service-oriented architecture based system. which includes the stages of requirements and analysis, design and development, and the last is the IT operations. The purpose of this research is to create a simulator application in calculating farmer's income from the sale of fresh fruit bunches. Farmers can easily find out the outcomes based on how many kilograms of crops are sold through this application. This research was conducted in Mesuji Regency, Lampung Province, using primary data and descriptive analysis. The sampling technique utilized a proportional random sampling method and consisted of 88 oil palm farmers. The results indicated that the application made it simpler for farmers to find out their income. Farmers only needed to input the land area, the harvest number obtained on the harvest day that had been carried out, and the price of fresh fruit bunches so that they would know the estimated monthly and annual income calculations. These calculations can be used by farmers as a predicting and planning tool to avoid losses.

Detection of Vehicle Position and Speed using Camera Calibration and Image Projection Methods

Traffic congestion is the main problem faced by big cities, such as Jakarta. One approach to reduce congestion levels is to improve traffic management that regulates and controls the number of vehicles. To evaluate the impact of traffic management before direct implementation on the highway, traffic modeling can be carried out. Parameters in modeling traffic must be determined from a calibration process where the vehicle is accurately measured for its position and speed. This study aims to propose an efficient calibration procedure with accurate results, based on recorded vehicle movement in perspective view. First, the road image is projected using the Direct Linear Transformation (DLT) method, then the vehicle position is detected using the Background Subtraction and tracked using Mixture of Gaussian (MoG) to determine the vehicle speed. Finally, we develop a prototype of Automated Traffic Flow Monitoring based on Python programming. In the experiment results, the accuracy of vehicle position detection is evaluated based on the Euclidean distance. The average difference between the results of position detection with ground-truth is 12.07 pixels with a camera angle 40 °. The percentage of speed measurement accuracy using the DLT projection method is 96.14%.
