This research focused on social media applications that had been used by large-scale users. Data might be in the form of text, image, video, each with its own data processing complexity. In this study, the researchers had performed a systematic review of literature on the development and usage of crowdsourcing data collection in recent days, with a range of techniques/methods/approaches to present meaningful data results/conclusions for environmental management. From the collected references, it is found that most papers discuss the monitoring and planning the environment through the use of social media data. An in-depth review of the literature was performed on the state-of-the-art environmental monitoring and planning and the general architecture of the data crowdsourcing system. Finally, based on the literature review, the challenge of data crowdsourcing for environmental monitoring and planning is identified and addressed.

Every enterprise stores and operates its transactions confidentially, therefore it has to encrypt the transaction to protect it from data intruders. Technically, most encryption processes are ranging from hundreds of milliseconds. If there is a lot of encrypting process, then the performance will be getting bottleneck and the transaction's speed is being slowed down. In this paper, a promising scheme by adding GZIP compression on the former RSA encryption method to increase speed is proposed; thus every transaction is going to require less times, therefore the number of failed transactions or requests will be reduced. Hence, this way makes the transaction easier for customers to do. The result of little experimental test shows that using XOR to stream cipher-text to replace the absent of padding into specific bytes shows a lot of performance increase resulting other factors such as availability also affected without sacrificing the security level.

The study was performed to make a plant computational model of the green-leaf vegetable plant Bok Choy that can suggest the environment-oriented decision in agriculture investment. Two methods functional structural plant modelling (FSPM) and simple mathematics are operated respectively to model the Bok Choy plant morphologically and the decision recommendation. The study produced the morphological 3-dimension (3D) model of the forty-fve-day-age plant Bok Choy and investment decision to plant Bok Choy in a hydroponic system.

The usage of user telemetry to gather player behavioral data on video games can be very beneficial to game developers with a certain business model. With the help of user telemetry in game development, it can provide access to data on user behavior from installed game clients' platform such as Steam. These behavioral data can be used to find out the Steam user behavioral patterns on playtime distributions that can be studied by developers in order to have a deeper understanding of the behaviors of their players. In this study, the data are clustered using the k-prototypes algorithm, a combination of k-means and k-modes algorithm that can be used to cluster mixed attributes. The result shows that the clusters represent the types and preferences of the players.

Churn prediction methods are widely used to anticipate customer churn from services provided by a company for some reasons. This study aims to develop an optimal churn prediction model based on customer data from a telecommunication company in Indonesia. The model development and evaluation processes are performed by following the Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM), which consist of business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modelling, and evaluation. Various combination of data preparation and modelling methods have been evaluated. The evaluation results show that the combination of feature selection and prediction model yields better results compared to prediction model without feature selection. The highest accuracy is achieved by Random Forrest at 97.82%, which is followed by Decision Tree at 97.06%, and Naive Bayes at 90.62%. This result indicates that a prediction model can be reliably used to predict customer churn in a telecommunication company.

One application that can be utilized in finding the latest news is by utilizing the development of information and communication technology such as seeing the delivery of public information through social media such as twitter. This study implements the system which is able to get the trending or top news based on twitter data. This information will connect to the journalist via mobile application. It helps journalists to get the potential news to be reported in their media. The application will group each tweets into various themes based on the cosine similarity. The tweets which are more the certain threshold, can be indicated as the top news. The top news is then classified into one category news by using SVM algorithm. The training data becomes from the source data of one media news. The specific topic of this result will ease to order the journalist cover this top news. The system can be implemented well.

This paper presents the development air quality monitoring system for indoor workplace that send measurement CO, CO2, PM2.5, temperature and humidity and send it via IEEE 802.11 b/g wireless communication. The problem is many sensor node for indoor air quality should not always send data to server in normal situation. It could spend power consumption and the data would send it periodically. Although the data send periodically, the sensor must handle emergency situation like fire. The results show that with controlled transmission interval not only spend power consumption but the device also good respond in emergency situation and user could monitor air quality remotely via web application.

In music there are various types of genres and every person has their own choice of the type of music they want to hear. Recommendation system is an important feature in an application, especially with the large number of choices for a particular item. With a good recommendation system, users will be helped by the suggestions given and can improve the user experience of the application. It is better provided by using collaborative filtering (CF) approach by recommending products related to one's preferences history. However, CF approach still lacking in integrating complex users data. Therefore, hybrid technique could be the solution to polish the CF approach. Combining neural network and CF also called NCF thought to be better than CF alone. This study focuses on collaborative filtering approach combined with neural network or called neural collaborative filtering. In this study, we use 20,000 users, 6,000 songs, and 470,000 transaction ratings then predict the score using CF and NCF approach. The aim of this study is to differentiate recommendation systems with the use of CF alone and NCF. Through this research, it was found that NCF is better than user-based collaborative filtering in gather those playlist they really want to hear, but requires more time to build it.

The reporting system commonly used utilizes query which consumes a large amount of time in order to generate results fulfilling requirements set by the user. In order to simplify and speed up reporting in digital world and eventually results in improvement of business, the business entity needs a system which can address problems quickly and easily. In this paper, data warehouse system which could simplify and speed up the reporting provisions that is needed by the business without having to modify the existing query being implemented. With Kimball approaches, the data to be reported could be customized in various forms in accordance with the requirements set by the entity.
