Hybrid cryptosystem RSA – CRT optimization and VMPC

Hybrid cryptosystem combines symmetric algorithms and asymmetric algorithms. This combination utilizes speeds on encryption/decryption processes of symmetric algorithms and asymmetric algorithms to secure symmetric keys. In this paper we propose hybrid cryptosystem that combine symmetric algorithms VMPC and asymmetric algorithms RSA – CRT optimization. RSA – CRT optimization speeds up the decryption process by obtaining plaintext with dp and p key only, so there is no need to perform CRT processes. The VMPC algorithm is more efficient in software implementation and reduces known weaknesses in RC4 key generation. The results show hybrid cryptosystem RSA – CRT optimization and VMPC is faster than hybrid cryptosystem RSA – VMPC and hybrid cryptosystem RSA – CRT – VMPC. As a rich country in genetic resources, Indonesia has the potential for strengthening food security. Maize is one of the commodities that greatly affect food security in Indonesia. Maize is also widely used as animal feed. The high demand for maize requires efforts to increase the productivity of sustainable cultivation. Various research efforts that have been carried out require the support of a comprehensive information system. This study aimed to build a research model for maize genetic resource information systems that can help search for superior varieties. The data collection method used was collecting genotype, phenotype, climate data and interviewing the maize breeders or researchers. As for the design of the model, this study used the Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD) method with notation from Unified Modelling Language (UML). The result of this research was a web-based model of information systems for maize research.

Use Chou's 5-Steps Rule With Different Word Embedding Types to Boost Performance of Electron Transport Protein Prediction Model

Living organisms receive necessary energy substances directly from cellular respiration. The completion of electron storage and transportation requires the process of cellular respiration with the aid of electron transport chains. Therefore, the work of deciphering electron transport proteins is inevitably needed. The identification of these proteins with high performance has a prompt dependence on the choice of methods for feature extraction and machine learning algorithm. In this study, protein sequences served as natural language sentences comprising words. The nominated word embedding-based feature sets, hinged on the word embedding modulation and protein motif frequencies, were useful for feature choosing. Five word embedding types and a variety of conjoint features were examined for such feature selection. The support vector machine algorithm consequentially was employed to perform classification. The performance statistics within the 5-fold cross-validation including average accuracy, specificity, sensitivity, as well as MCC rates surpass 0.95. Such metrics in the independent test are 96.82, 97.16, 95.76 percent, and 0.9, respectively. Compared to state-of-the-art predictors, the proposed method can generate more preferable performance above all metrics indicating the effectiveness of the proposed method in determining electron transport proteins. Furthermore, this study reveals insights about the applicability of various word embeddings for understanding surveyed sequences.

Sustainability of the Water Footprint of Various Soil Types on Oil Palm Plantations

There are significant studies that have quantified oil palm water footprint as an indicator of environmental sustainability but an estimation of water footprint under varying soil types furthermore is still limited. The objectives of the study were to estimate whether annual variations of soil type and yields significantly effects for the oil palm water footprint. The data from three types of soil (spodosol, inceptisol, ultisol) were collected from an oil palm plantation in Pundu village, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. To perform the water footprint analysis we utilize water balance accounting equations via application Cropwat 8.0. From that, we determine the crop irrigation scheduling to compute the blue, green, and grey water footprint of oil palm fresh fruit bunch in the area. Our analysis found that the actual evapotranspiration of spodosol and inceptisol have the same value: 1242 mm/year whilst ultisol is 1239 mm/year. The total water footprint of oil palm varied considerably with the largest value being 1310.04 m3/ton for ultisol. The actual evapotranspiration of spodosol and inceptisol have the same value of 1242 mm/year whilst ultisol is 1239 mm/year. The higher production resulted in a lower water footprint and vice versa. Moreover, the total water footprint from ultisol soil type has the highest value due to the lowest yields. The difference in evapotranspiration value resulted in the insignificant value of total water footprint. The lower water availability, the lower water use, and the higher actual irrigation requirement in oil palm plantation yet showed the unnotable impact on water footprint in different soil types for the oil palm plantation.

With the increasing global demands of coffee, Indonesia need to increase their coffee beans supply and improve the quality to maintain its position in the international coffee industry. One of the most important coffeepre-processing, coffee bean roasting, is under developed in Indonesia. Indonesia coffee farmers prefer to use the traditional cauldron to roast their coffee beans. Roasting coffee beans using traditional cauldron is inefficient and resulting unequal roasted level for the coffee beans. In this study, we proposed atemperature control system based on fuzzy logic for coffee roaster machine. The system controls the temperature in accordance with the demanded roasting level. A thermal camera is attached inside the roasting chamber to monitor the heaton the roasted coffee beans. The thermal camera is integrated with a stirring mechanism to equalise the heat among the beans.

The purpose of writing this paper is to look at how factors of big data adoption affect the users of social media and brand popularity. The method used in the writing of this paper is by using path analysis and also by doing literature study to find reference material. The results of the analysis indicate that there is influence of big data adoption factors that affect the popularity of the brand. With this research, we get big data model that influence the brand popularity.

Background: To evaluate the effect of the weighting of input imaging combo and ADC threshold on the performance of the U-Net and to find an optimized input imaging combo and ADC threshold in segmenting acute ischemic stroke (AIS) lesion. Methods: This study retrospectively enrolled a total of 212 patients having AIS. Four combos, including ADC-ADC-ADC (AAA), DWI-ADC-ADC (DAA), DWI-DWI-ADC (DDA), and DWI-DWI-DWI (DDD), were used as input images, respectively. Three ADC thresholds including 0.6, 0.8 and 1.8 × 10^–3 mm²/s were applied. Dice similarity coefficient (DSC) was used to evaluate the segmentation performance of U-Nets. Nonparametric Kruskal–Wallis test with Tukey–Kramer post-hoc tests were used for comparison. A p <.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: The DSC significantly varied among different combos of images and different ADC thresholds. Hybrid U-Nets outperformed uniform U-Nets at ADC thresholds of 0.6 × 10^–3 mm²/s and 0.8 × 10^–3 mm²/s (p <.001). The U-Net with imaging combo of DDD had segmentation performance similar to hybrid U-Nets at an ADC threshold of 1.8 × 10^–3 mm²/s (p =.062 to 1). The U-Net using the imaging combo of DAA at the ADC threshold of 0.6 × 10^–3 mm²/s achieved the highest DSC in the segmentation of AIS lesion. Conclusions: The segmentation performance of U-Net for AIS varies among the input imaging combos and ADC thresholds. The U-Net is optimized by choosing the imaging combo of DAA at an ADC threshold of 0.6 × 10^–3 mm²/s in segmentating AIS lesion with highest DSC. Physiological Biomarkers for Assessment of Pain during Routine Blood Tests for Older Adults with Dementia in Long-Term Residential Care

Objective: Evaluating pain in individuals with dementia can be difficult when verbal communication is limited. Vocalization has emerged as a potential avenue for assessments of pain in nonverbal populations. This study aimed to evaluate if physiological assessments of vocalization were correlated with observational assessments of pain during routine blood tests for persons with dementia. Design: A cross-sectional descriptive study. Setting and Participants: Sixty older adults (aged ≥65 years old) with dementia requiring routine finger puncture and peripheral venipuncture for routine blood tests were recruited by purposive sampling from 3 long-term care facilities in Taiwan. Methods: Observational assessments were conducted with the Pain Assessment in Advanced Dementia (PAINAD) instrument;physiological biomarkers of vocalization were assessed with a noninvasive sensing device and microphone (NISDM). Assessments were conducted simultaneously in one session during situations of increasing pain levels: at rest, making a sound, finger puncture, and peripheral venipuncture. PAINAD scores were compared with signal recording measures from the NISDM. Analysis of variance and Pearson correlation coefficient assessed correlations between observational and physiological measures. Results: Most participants were female (63.3%);mean age was 81.27 years (SD = 9.69);Clinical Dementia Rating was 2.23 ± 0.70;and Mini-Mental State Examination was 7.07 ± 6.95. Signal recording measures using the NISDM during finger puncture and venipuncture were significantly greater compared with measures at rest and making sound, indicating higher signal levels were associated with pain. PAINAD scores were significantly correlated with physiological measures for vocalization variables of sound amplitude (r = 0.49, P <.001), shimmer (r = 0.63, P <.001), and inhalation-to-exhalation amplitude ratio (r = 0.48, P <.001). The transfer of land has an impact on the decreasing of the agricultural land area, so it is necessary to plan the right cropping pattern as an effort to increase the productivity of agricultural cultivation. Also, Climate is one of the factors influencing the determination of cropping pattern in a region. Analysis of climatic characteristics in the determination of cropping pattern not only based on oldeman climatic classification. At the same time, the study of groundwater availability for plants and climogram of climatic elements is needed in determining planting schedule which is suitable for planting and determination of irrigation water supply, either the right amount of time. This study aims to identify and build spatial of the oldeman climate classification. It also determines the cropping pattern for seasonal crops based on the calculation of water balance and climogram (rainfall and air temperature) in each type of climate oldeman district of Cirebon and surrounding areas. Data used monthly rainfall data period 1981-2010 from BMKG Jatiwangi station and air temperature data, plant coefficient and the base map of Cirebon region. Optimization and simulation methods in addressing COVID-19 physical distancing policy: A bibliometric analysis

COVID-19 has received tremendous attention from scholars worldwide and even being labelled as a black swan event that has disrupted every aspect of human life. Within a short time span of the pandemic, a large volume of research pertaining to COVID-19 has been published in diverse research fields. This paper adopts a bibliometric analysis to systematically evaluate the research development in the application of optimization and simulation methods to address COVID-19 physical distancing policy (OSPhyD) using Bibliometrix R package. A textual query on Scopus database using the combination of four classes of keywords; covid-19, optimization, simulation, and physical distance has returned a total of 299 original research articles and reviews published in English. Appropriate visualizations were generated to describe the collaborations between different authors, countries, and institutions, whilst co-word analysis that uses text mining technique has produced a conceptual cluster via co-occurrence network map to underscore the emerging themes in the current research interest. The main findings pinpoint that: 1) OSPhyD as a scientific research field is an emerging multidisciplinary research topic that is growing progressively and steadily in the fields of medicine, engineering, social sciences, mathematics and decision science, 2) The field has attracted the attention of scholars from all over the world particularly from United States of America, United Kingdom, European countries including authors from Asia, and 3) Three dominant themes or research front emerged from the publications including COVID-19 mainstream, medical education and undergraduate.
