Skin cancer's increasing incidence rates necessitate advanced diagnostic tools. This research uses MobileNet architecture to develop an enhanced system for skin cancer detection. MobileNet's efficient CNN architecture, combined with Keras for model lifecycle management and TensorFlow for real-time inference, forms the foundation of this study. Using 10,015 dermatoscopic pictures from seven different classifications of skin cancer in the HAM10000 dataset, the methodology includes several key stages: image preprocessing to correct illumination and adjust resolution, data augmentation to balance the dataset, and model training using Transfer Learning. The MobileNet model was trained over 50 epochs with a comprehensive architecture incorporating multiple specialized layers. By combining large-scale data analysis and adaptive learning, this methodology demonstrates The revolutionary possibilities of AI and ML in improving skin cancer diagnostics and public health outcomes. Automatic liver tumor detection from computed tomography (CT) makes clinical examinations more accurate. However, deep learning-based detection algorithms are characterized by high sensitivity and low precision, which hinders diagnosis given that false-positive tumors must first be identified and excluded. These false positives arise because detection models incorrectly identify partial volume artifacts as lesions, which in turn stems from the inability to learn the perihepatic structure from a global perspective. To overcome this limitation, we propose a novel slice-fusion method in which mining the global structural relationship between the tissues in the target CT slices and fusing the features of adjacent slices according to the importance of the tissues. Furthermore, we design a new network based on our slice-fusion method and Mask R-CNN detection model, called Pinpoint-Net. We evaluated proposed model on the Liver Tumor Segmentation Challenge (LiTS) dataset and our liver metastases dataset. Experiments demonstrated that our slice-fusion method not only enhance tumor detection ability via reducing the number of false-positive tumors smaller than 10mm, but also improve segmentation performance. Without bells and whistles, a single Pinpoint-Net showed outstanding performance in liver tumor detection and segmentation on LiTS test dataset compared with other state-of-the-art models. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

An accurate predictive model of temperature and humidity plays a vital role in many industrial processes that utilize a closed space such as in agriculture and building management. With the exceptional performance of deep learning on time-series data, developing a predictive temperature and humidity model with deep learning is propitious. In this study, we demonstrated that deep learning models with multivariate time-series data produce remarkable performance for temperature and relative humidity prediction in a closed space. In detail, all deep learning models that we developed in this study achieve almost perfect performance with an R value over 0.99. © 2023 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

In this article, we propose to study a novel research problem to boost group performance, that is, social-aware diversity-optimized group extraction (SDGE), which takes into consideration the two important factors: 1) group diversity and 2) social tightness. We prove the NP-hardness of SDGE and propose an effective algorithm, named group shrinking for diversity maximization (GSDM) with a performance guarantee, that is, GSDM is a three-approximation algorithm to the SDGE problem studied in this article. We further propose three effective pruning strategies that are able to boost the efficiency of GSDM but do not deteriorate its performance. We conduct extensive experiments on multiple large-scale real datasets to evaluate the performance of GSDM. The experimental results show that our proposed GSDM outperforms the other baseline approaches significantly, in terms of solution quality and efficiency. Moreover, the experimental results also confirm that our proposed pruning strategies indeed boost the efficiency of the algorithm. © 2014 IEEE.

Depressive Disorders (DD) is one of the most prevalent mental disorders in the world that may lead to suicide cases. To prevent the latter, ubiquitous early detection systems may be effective. Recent studies have since researched the development of such systems by exploiting several forms of data, including video, audio, Ecological Momentary Assessments (EMA), and passive sensing data using sensors embedded in mobile devices. To summarize the trends, opportunities, and existing challenges in this field, this study reviewed 15 papers to answer four research questions. EMA was the most popular data to be used in this task, but other approaches, such as using video, audio, and typing behaviors, may be considered due to the subjectivity of EMA. These data were typically recorded using smartphones and analyzed using Machine Learning (ML). However, most of the developed systems had yet to be implemented. Overall, it was concluded that further studies may need to explore usages of more objective data in multimodal approaches as well as consider using Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) to deploy these systems to provide more effective and efficient diagnoses. Future studies must also take into account the existing challenges of the data and infrastructures, such as the weaknesses of several data types, limitations of mobile devices, as well as the challenges of diagnosis approaches. © 2023 IEEE.

The problems that exist in the field of art and culture preservation experienced by the arts and culture community side are the limitations on physical facilities for disseminating works, exchanging information between arts and culture communities, as well as the need to increase professionalism so that they can be independent in order to help improve the economy, where the role of regulation in this regard also affects this condition. Based on the facts above, this community requires an interaction model that is integrated with the use of information technology. This study uses a Soft System Methodology approach to create a model that is suitable for the arts and cultural community. The result is an ICI-based conceptual model for a local culture community. Presently,customer retention is essential for reducing customer churn in telecommunication *** churn prediction(CCP)is important to predict the possibility of customer retention in the quality of *** risks of customer churn also get essential,the rise of machine learning(ML)models can be employed to investigate the characteristics of customer ***,deep learning(DL)models help in prediction of the customer behavior based characteristic *** the DL models necessitate hyperparameter modelling and effort,the process is difficult for research communities and business *** this view,this study designs an optimal deep canonically correlated autoencoder based prediction(ODCCAEP)model for competitive customer dependent application *** addition,the O-DCCAEP method purposes for determining the churning nature of the *** O-DCCAEP technique encompasses preprocessing,classification,and hyperparameter ***,the DCCAE model is employed to classify the churners or ***,the hyperparameter optimization of the DCCAE technique occurs utilizing the deer hunting optimization algorithm(DHOA).The experimental evaluation of the O-DCCAEP technique is carried out against an own dataset and the outcomes highlighted the betterment of the presented O-DCCAEP approach on existing approaches.

With the rapid development of technology, the use of social media by the public, especially among young people, is increasing. One of the social media platforms currently used by young people is the TikTok application. It is a video-based TikTok feature accompanied by music, writing, and pictures that are considered attractive, so teenagers like it to show their existence and self-disclosure. Therefore, this study aims to examine the intention of users to disclose their privacy. As the basis of the theory, this study deployed the privacy calculus theory, where the perceived benefits and perceived risks play crucial roles in the intention to disclose their privacy. The study successfully collected 369 responses. The empirical findings indicated that only the relationship between Perceived Personalization (PP) and Perceived Risk (PR) was not supported. However, all the remaining hypotheses were supported. These findings emphasize how several complicated variables influence social media users' intentions to disclose their privacy. When people feel in control of their privacy settings and see significant benefits, they are more likely to divulge personal information;nevertheless, perceived risks can greatly discourage users. © 2024 IEEE.

For microscopic cells images, cells’ morphologies are widely varied among different imaging modalities and staining methods. For fluorescence microscopy images, Poisson noises present in images due to the lightening, causing photobleaching, which makes it challenging in analysis with the deep learning models. Traditionally, median filtering can be applied to the original image for denoising, however, it also results in a blurry image, which is harmful to segmentation. In this study, the Haar Wavelet Transform is used to alleviate the photobleaching problem for cell segmentation, integrated to the framework without interfering with feature extraction by the backbone model. For our experiments, instance segmentation for fluorescence-stained cells was performed based on U-Net architecture with the method of gradient flow tracking proposed by Cellpose. And the Haar wavelet downsampling is embedded in the skip connections to verify if it can improve the segmentation performance for fluorescence images. The experimental results show that the approach of Haar wavelet downsampling embedded in the skip connections achieve superior performance among the other settings. Compared with the performance of the baseline model, the performance of the proposed model reached 0.732 in F1-score, which surpassed the one of baseline model (0.6341) by almost 0.1.

This paper introduces a novel approach to stock movement prediction using multi-label classification, leveraging the interconnections between news articles and related company stocks. We present the Label-Prior Graph Attention (LPGA) model, which significantly enhances the performance of news-driven stock price movement forecasting. This model is comprised of a unique graph attention architecture, incorporating a label encoder and a text encoder, designed to effectively capture and utilize the relationships between labels in a graph-based context. Our model demonstrates superior performance over several benchmark models. The LPGA model’s efficacy is further validated through experiments on two multilabel datasets. The model outperforms established baseline models across various evaluation metrics. The success of the LPGA model in both stock movement prediction and general multi-label classification tasks indicates its potential as a versatile tool in the realm of machine learning and financial analysis. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).
