Two-dimensional simulation of Wood's Metal Plate (WMP) Melting Process has been conducted by varying the molten temperature. This simulation was performed by using Moving Particle Semi-Implicit (MPS) method which can calculate the Navier-Stokes and heat transfer equation without divining mesh system. As a substitute, particles are selected to represent every part of simulation such as fluid, wall and dummy type. The experiment of WMP melting process has been conducted by Sudha (2018). The molten Wood's Metal was originally set at 573 K. In this simulation, the holes formation in WMP will be investigated as a consequence of molten temperature variation. Furthermore, temperature distribution at top side of WMP and solid-liquid phase change will be analyzed for initial temperature of molten are 523 K, 473 K and 423 K. The results show that the phases change significantly in a short time when the molten temperature is increased. However, until the end of simulation which on 1.5 s just for molten temperature 573 K shows the breaching process to the WMP. This study can be implemented when the reactor nuclear severe accident happened. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Sustainable closed fuel cycle and inherent safety are one of the key aspects of Generation IV reactor design. Hence Molten salt reactor (MSR) is chosen as one of the candidates of Generation IV reactor concepts. FUJI-U2 or MSR-2R is a 2-region core MSR design that was proposed as a possible simplification of FUJI-U3 (3-region core). Taking into consideration that uranium-233 doesn't exist naturally, FUJI-U2 utilize both plutonium and uranium-233 as a fissile material. To understand the characteristics further, a comparative study of 2-region core MSR with Th-U233 and Th-Pu as fuel has been carried out. Nuclear analysis code SRAC2006 with the nuclear data library of JENDL4.0 was used, and CITATION was employed to validate the core. The design parameters set for each region are fuel composition, core radius, and fuel fraction. The simulation burn up calculation is set to 2000 days in total, with 21 step each for 100 days cycle. Neutron multiplication factor, fuel elemental, burn up calculation, conversion ratio, and neutron flux in each core will be discussed. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A graph G is said to be distance magic if there exists a bijection f: V → {1, 2, . . ., v} and a constant k such that for any vertex x, ∑y∈N (x) f (y) = k, where N(x) is the set of all neighbours of x. In this paper we shall study distance magic labelings of graphs obtained from four graph products: cartesian, strong, lexicographic, and cronecker. The process of fluid descend vertically on static fluid has been studied through experiment and simulation by using Moving Particle Semi-Implicit (MPS) method. MPS has been developed by Koshizuka and Oka (1996). MPS method is a particle method based on the Lagrangian calculation for incompressible medium and does not rely on grid system. This study has been done by doing simulation first then validated by experiment. Water and cooking oil were used in the experiment. This study was carried out to analyze distance and density influence in the height of static fluid bursting process. The experiments were conducted in an acrylic box with the dimension 150 mm x 40 mm x 30 mm and a bottle with height of 100 mm and the nozzle of bottle was 26 mm. The distance between nozzle and surface of fluid inside box is varied for 100 mm and 200 mm. The results show that in the same height, water will be more difficult to be moved than cooking oil because water has bigger density. The distance between nozzle and fluid surface inside the box will affect at the pressure which is received by the fluid. Higher distance will create higher pressure so that fluid inside the box will be moved easier and more fluid will split out to the box. It also gives some influence in the final condition of remaining fluid in the acrylic box. © 2021 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The presence of heavy metal on agricultural soils can be caused not only natural factors but also due to human intervention. Differences in management and lack of understanding of farmers in the production input of fertilizers and pesticides ensued in land ravaged. Periodic testing of paddy fields is necessary to minimize the contaminants from being absorbed by plants that will have an impact on health decline. The purpose of the assessment was to identify the heavy metal content in the terraced rice field in Sruwen Village, Tengaran District, Semarang Regency. Survey was conducted in February 2017. Sampling on terraced rice fields of different heights consisted of upper, middle, and upper down. Taken as many as eight single points and composed at a depth of 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm. The identification results showed that heavy metal content of Pb, Cd, and Cu were present at all altitudes. Heavy Metals Pb and Cd at a depth of 0-20 cm were higher from 20-40 cm in the upper and lower rice fields but lower in the middle rice field. Cu heavy metal at a depth of 0-20 cm was higher than 20-40 cm in all altitude land. The heavy metal content of Pb, Cd, and Cu was still below the heavy metal standard set by the European Union and India. © 2018 The Authors, published by EDP Sciences.

The scope of this research is the use of artificial neural network models and meta-heuristic optimization of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for the prediction of ambient air pollution parameter data at air quality monitoring stations in the city of Semarang, Central Java. The observed parameter is an indicator of ambient air quality, Suspended Particulate Matter (SPM). Based on air quality parameter data in previous times which is a time series data, modeling is done using Neural Networks (NN). Estimation of weights from NN is done using a hybrid method between meta-heuristic and gradient optimization. The meta-heuristic optimization method used is Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) while the gradient based method is the Conjugate Gradient. Optimization with PSO is done first, then proceed with optimization using the Conjugate Gradient. Four scenarios of iteration selection at the PSO stage are 10, 25, 50 and 100. At the Conjugate Gradient, stage iteration is carried out up to 1000 epohs. The predicted results were compared with the PSOs and Conjugate Gradient respectively. The results show that the hybrid method provides better predictions. The number of iterations needed at the PSO stage is not too much so it is efficient in combining the two methods. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2019.

PM3 Semiempiric Quantum calculation has been done in this research by using Gaussian 2009 Rev. D 01 software package to explore the capability of Calixarene and its analogs for aromatic amine extraction. The Calixarene analogs used in this research are Calixpyrrole, Calixpyridine, Thiacalixarene, Heterocalixaromatic, Calixcarbazole and Calixnaphtalene;and the aromatic amine used in this research are Aniline, 4-Chloroaniline, Toluene-2,4-diamine, 2-Naphty lamině, 4,4'-Mety lenbis(2-chloroaniline), 4,4'-Metylendianiline, N-Nitrosodiphenylamine, Benzidine, 2-Aminobiphenyl, 2-Amino-1-methyl-6-phenylimidazo[4,5-b] Pyridine, 3-Trifluoromethylaniline, p-Phenylendiamine, o-Toluidin, 4-Chloro-o-toluidin. The most suitable host molecule of calixarene analogs for extraction of aromatic amine compounds are Calixnaphthalene and Calixpyridine because all of aromatic amine compounds form inclusion complex with them spontaneously shown by negative value of binding energy. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A molecular docking was performed in this research by using ArgusLab version 4.0.1. It was used to explore the capability of Calixarene analogs for aromatic amine extraction. There are 6 Calixarene analogs used in this research, i.e. Calixpyrrole, Calixpyridine, Thiacalixarene, Heterocalixaromatic, Calixcarbazole and Calixnaphtalene;and the aromatic amine used in this research are Aniline, 4-Chloroaniline, Toluene-2,4-diamine, 2-Naphtylamine, 4,4'-Metylenbis(2-chloroaniline), 4,4'-Metylendianiline, N-Nitrosodiphenylamine, Benzidine, 2-Aminobiphenyl, 2-Amino-1-methyl-6-phenylimidazo [4,5-b] Pyridine, 3-Trifluoromethylaniline, p-Phenylendiamine, o-Toluidin, 4-Chloro-o-toluidin. In this molecular docking simulation, the guest molecule of aromatic amine compounds were treated as ligand and host molecule of calixarene and its analogs were treated as binding site. This molecular docking simulation used AScore scoring function, binding sitebox size for host molecule with grid size of 0.4 Å, GA docking engine with flexible ligand, 50 population sizes, 1000 max generations, 5 elitisms, 0.2 mutation rate, and 0.8 crossover rate. Calixcarbazole and Calixnaphthelene is the best host molecule for aromatic amines extraction because the inclusion complexes formed between them have negative value of binding energy. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Examining topic-level variability in modeling Twitter data can potentially yield more comprehensive insights into public perception during critical periods, thereby enhancing natural disaster mitigation and surveillance efforts. In this study, we utilized generalized linear mixed models (GLMMs) to illustrate the variability in tweet counts related to specific topics in Indonesia during the flood events that occurred in February 2021. The glmmTMB library in R was employed for this purpose. The data were assumed to follow two distinct exponential distributions: Poisson and Negative Binomial. To incorporate random effects, random intercepts and random slopes were introduced, allowing them to vary randomly across topics in the initial two models. Additionally, the final model addressed issues related to dispersion and zero-inflation. By evaluating the Akaike Information Criteria scores, we determined that a model based on the Negative Binomial distribution with random zero-inflation intercepts best fit the data. The chosen model formulation and the estimated parameters have the potential to forecast topic-specific trends in Indonesian flood-related Twitter data. © 2023 The Authors.
