Reinforcement Learning (RL) is an extraordinarily paradigm that aims to solve a complex problem. This technique leverages the traditional feedforward networks with temporal-difference learning to overcome supervised and unsupervised real-world problems. However, RL is one of state-of-the-art topic due to the opaque aspects in design and implementation. Also, in which situation we will get performance gain from RL is still unclear. Therefore, This study firstly examines the impact of Experience Replay in Deep Q-Learning agent with Self-Driving Car application. Secondly, The impact of Eligibility Trace in RNN A3C agents with Breakout AI game application is studied. Our results indicated that these two techniques enhance RL performance by more than 20 percent as compared with traditional RL methods. © 2019 IEEE.

Analysis of Total Mangrove Carbon Stock Degradation in Kendari Bay

Mangrove ecosystems are one of the blue carbon ecosystems in the coastal region. Mangroves can assimilate high carbon and can save carbon in the long term. Settlements and various centres of community activities have developed on the coast of Kendari Bay, which drastically decreased mangrove vegetation. Research on blue carbon placed in mangrove forests is vital to be carried out to determine changes in regional conditions in the coastal region. Spatial modelling is used to estimate the degradation of blue carbon stocks. A remote sensing data is required for producing spatial and temporal maps. InVEST (Integrated Assessment of Ecosystem Services and Sacrifices) can be used for mapping and modelling total carbon stock changes based on land cover changing in Kendari Bay. Carbon stocks can be calculated through spatial and temporal mapping in InVEST with past, present and future scenarios. Spatial dan temporal maps form InVEST can be considered in determining policies related to mangrove management and making more appropriate decisions in managing Kendari Bay area.

The Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) will be the next generation gamma-ray observatory, which will consist of three kinds of telescopes of different sizes. Among those, the Large Size Telescope (LST) will be the most sensitive in the low energy range starting from 20 GeV. The prototype LST (LST-1) proposed for CTA was inaugurated in October 2018 in the northern hemisphere site, La Palma (Spain), and is currently in its commissioning phase. MAGIC is a system of two gamma-ray Cherenkov telescopes of the current generation, located approximately 100 m away from LST-1, that have been operating in stereoscopic mode since 2009. Since LST-1 and MAGIC can observe the same air shower events, we can compare the brightness of showers, estimated energies of gamma rays, and other parameters event by event, which can be used to cross-calibrate the telescopes. Ultimately, by performing combined analyses of the events triggering the three telescopes, we can reconstruct the shower geometry more accurately, leading to better energy and angular resolutions, and a better discrimination of the background showers initiated by cosmic rays. For that purpose, as part of the commissioning of LST-1, we performed joint observations of established gamma-ray sources with LST-1 and MAGIC. Also, we have developed Monte Carlo simulations for such joint observations and an analysis pipeline which finds event coincidence in the offline analysis based on their timestamps. In this work, we present the first detection of an astronomical source, the Crab Nebula, with combined observation of LST-1 and MAGIC. Study on Fluid Descends Vertically on Static Fluid Using Moving Particle Semi-Implicit Method

The process of fluid descend vertically on static fluid has been studied through experiment and simulation by using Moving Particle Semi-Implicit (MPS) method. MPS has been developed by Koshizuka and Oka (1996). MPS method is a particle method based on the Lagrangian calculation for incompressible medium and does not rely on grid system. This study has been done by doing simulation first then validated by experiment. Water and cooking oil were used in the experiment. This study was carried out to analyze distance and density influence in the height of static fluid bursting process. The experiments were conducted in an acrylic box with the dimension 150 mm x 40 mm x 30 mm and a bottle with height of 100 mm and the nozzle of bottle was 26 mm. The distance between nozzle and surface of fluid inside box is varied for 100 mm and 200 mm. The results show that in the same height, water will be more difficult to be moved than cooking oil because water has bigger density. The distance between nozzle and fluid surface inside the box will affect at the pressure which is received by the fluid. Higher distance will create higher pressure so that fluid inside the box will be moved easier and more fluid will split out to the box. It also gives some influence in the final condition of remaining fluid in the acrylic box.

Indonesia had been suffered by earthquake and tsunami for many centuries. Since many lives have taken by tsunami strikes, alert and response system are very important as important part of Disaster Risk Reduction, especially in area with high population density. This research conducted in Kangkung fishing village in Bandar Lampung coastal area which is an earthquake and tsunami prone area. The aim of the research is to study alert and response of Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction. The research conducted by qualitative method and purposive-descriptive approach. There were 53 respondents which participated in the survey and interview. It is reported that 'Smart Resilient City' model suitable for community needs of alert and response of earthquake and tsunami disaster. This research meets conclusion that 'Smart Resilient City' model may become a great solution in Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction to cope with the hazard of earthquake and tsunami comprehensively and sustainably.

The effects of COVID-19 vaccination on short-term and long-term cerebrovascular risks among COVID-19 survivors remained unknown. We conducted a national multi-center retrospective cohort study with 151 597 vaccinated and 151 597 unvaccinated COVID-19 patients using the TriNetX database, from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2023. Patients baseline characteristics were balanced with propensity score matching (PSM). The outcomes were incident cerebrovascular diseases occurred between 1st and 30th days (short-term) after COVID-19 diagnosis. Nine subgroup analyses were conducted to explore potential effect modifications. We performed six sensitivity analyses, including evaluation of outcomes between 1st to 180th days, accounting for competing risk, and incorporating different variant timeline to test the robustness of our results. Kaplan-Meier curves and Log-Rank tests were performed to evaluate survival difference. Cox proportional hazards regressions were adopted to estimate the PSM-adjusted hazard ratios (HR). The overall short-term cerebrovascular risks were lower in the vaccinated group compared to the unvaccinated group (HR: 0.66, 95% CI: 0.56–0.77), specifically cerebral infarction (HR: 0.62, 95% CI: 0.48–0.79), occlusion and stenosis of precerebral arteries (HR: 0.74, 95% CI: 0.53–0.98), other cerebrovascular diseases (HR: 0.57, 95% CI: 0.42–0.77), and sequelae of cerebrovascular disease (HR: 0.39, 95% CI:0.23–0.68). Similarly, the overall cerebrovascular risks were lower in those vaccinated among most subgroups. The long-term outcomes, though slightly attenuated, were consistent (HR: 0.80, 95% CI: 0.73–0.87). Full 2-dose vaccination was associated with a further reduced risk of cerebrovascular diseases (HR: 0.63, 95% CI: 0.50–0.80) compared to unvaccinated patients. Unvaccinated COVID-19 survivors have significantly higher cerebrovascular risks than their vaccinated counterparts. The emergence of waste management technology innovation is able to inhibit the accumulation of waste in temporary collection sites and landfill. Innovations that have been developed in developed countries and summarized in the concept of "Smart Waste Management" are still not able to be applied to cities in developing countries, such as Indonesia. This is because the technologies that already exist in Indonesia are still far behind by developed countries in the world. In addition to sophisticated technology, the understanding and behaviour of the community has also been more advanced in the field of waste management, which starts from the process of sorting waste in each household to the recycling process of waste to minimize the amount of waste entering the landfill. This study took place in the city of Semarang, Central-Java where the area is an urban area with waste problems that must be addressed immediately. The lack of technology, especially the city-scale recycling technology makes land in the landfill increasingly unable to accommodate the production of waste that enters every day. Therefore, the aim of this study is to define the high level of application of the Smart Waste Recycling concept that has been carried out in Semarang City by utilizing the technology currently available. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. An effort to obtain alternative energy is still interesting subject to be studied, especially production of biogas from agriculture waste. This paper was an overview of the latest development of biogas researches from rice husk waste by Solid State Anaerobic Digestion (SSAD). The main obstacle of biogas production from rice husk waste was the lignin content which is very difficult degraded by microbes. Various pretreatments have been conducted, either physically, chemically as well as biologically. The SSAD method was an attractive option because of the low water content of rice husk waste. The biogas yield by SSAD method gave more attractive result compared to Liquid Anaerobic Digestion (LAD) method. Various studies were still conducted in batch mode laboratory scale and also has not found optimum operating conditions. Research on a larger scale such as bench and pilot scale with continuous systems will be an increase trend in the future research. © 2018 The Authors, published by EDP sciences.

We present the measured spin correlation coefficient Cy,y for p−He3 elastic scattering at 100 MeV at the angles θc.m.=46.9∘–149.2∘ in the center-of-mass system. The Cy,y data and the existing cross section data are compared with rigorous four-nucleon scattering calculations based on realistic nucleon-nucleon potentials. Large differences are seen in the regime around the cross section minimum for both observables. The Δ-isobar effects estimated by the NN+NΔ coupled-channels approach are small for the cross section. Meanwhile, in Cy,y, the Δ-isobar effects improve the agreement with the data. The analysis of the p−He3 elastic scattering amplitudes implies the necessity of three-nucleon forces (3NFs) that enhance the vector components in the amplitudes. The obtained results indicate that the spin correlation coefficient Cy,y expands the knowledge of the nuclear interactions with the Δ isobar or those including 3NFs that are masked in nucleon-deuteron elastic scattering.
