Development of Eco-Airport Model to Measure Environmental Noise Footprint in Supporting Airport Sustainability

Among a set of tools to emerge in recent years in environmental management, one appears to meet the criteria necessary to bridge this gap is the environmental footprint analysis based on biophysical reality of sustainable living, people must use natural renewable products and services not sooner than they are replacedand produces no waste faster than nature can absorb. The purpose of this study is to develop a model of noise environment footprint toward sustainability airport with the environmental assessment at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The results showed that the airport ecological footprint of the model can be built through the factors analysis that can give an idea of the influence of ecoairport. The conclusion of this study is to obtain the noise ecological footprint provides a method for the total impact of air transport to be assessed, the ecological footprint can be used as a communication and awareness tool to inform communities about the impact they make. It can lead to shifts to public transport for airport access, ecological footprint can be used by airports and airlines to identify operations where energy efficiency measures can be made and where resource consumption can be reduced

Analysis of denial of service attack on web security systems

In this study, an analysis of the Web security system from a Denial-of-Service Attack (DoS) with SYN Attack, Ping of Death, Land Attack, Smurf Attack and UDP Flood types. The server computer that will be tested for DoS attacks is a local web server including *** IP: 54.169.71.56, *** IP: 104.152.168.14, *** IP: 156.67.210.132, *** IP: 202.162. 207,101 and *** with IP Address 213.136.83.52 port 80. The attack on the local web server computer was carried out through attacking cloned computers as many as 5 zombie computers and then observing data traffic on each Web server computer. The test results use ping to the local web server computer, where the target web server sends a replay request time out and the check results in the Google Chrome browser are slow to inaccessible conditions. Ping access time the greater the packet, the greater the average time when accessing a local web server with 5,000 packets is 242.68 seconds, 10,000 packets is 310.28 seconds, 20,000 packets are 337.4 seconds, 30,000 packets are 377.2 seconds, 40,000 packets are 398.4 seconds, 50,000 packets are 545.4 seconds and 100,000 packets are above 600 seconds with the condition that the web server will recover after 600 seconds where the system recovery process depends on each local web server.

In an oil drilling area, there are two oil drilling companies that have obtained permits to drill. As time goes by, the availability of existing petroleum decreases. To anticipate natural resources the government only prioritizes one company. Competition occurs between the two of them to explore petroleum from the ground so that they can drill. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview, how to make a system dynamics model related to the problem of oil drilling as an increasingly limited natural resource, by taking the case of the relationship between drilling companies in facing business competition. The method used is system dynamics with a standard model of mutual difficulties (drifting goals). The result obtained is a system dynamics model that can be used to demonstrate the behavior of a simulated petroleum drilling model to get an overview or condition of the limitations of petroleum and future availability.

Pretreatment during biogas production aims to assist in degradation of lignin contained in the rice husk. In this study, pretreatment which is used are acid and biological pretreatment. Acid pretreatment was performed using acetic acid and nitric acid with a variety levels of 3% and 5%. While biological pretreatment as a control variable. Acid pretreatment was conducted by soaking the rice straw for 24 hours with acid variation. The study was conducted using Solid State Anaerobic Digestion (SS-AD) with 21% TS. Biogas production was measured using water displacement method every two days for 60 days at room temperature conditions. The results showed that acid pretreatment gave an effect on the production of biogas yield. The yield of the biogas produced by pretreatment of acetic acid of 5% and 3% was 43.28 and 45.86 ml/***. While the results without pretreatment biogas yield was 29.51 ml/***. The results yield biogas produced by pretreatment using nitric acid of 5% and 3% was 12.14 ml/*** and 21.85 ml/***. Results biogas yield with acetic acid pretreatment was better than the biogas yield results with nitric acid pretreatment. © 2018 The Authors, published by EDP sciences.

A time-serial topographic change was performed using two kinds of surveying methods, including direct measurement and indirect remote sensing technology for beach topography surveillance. Compared with reference topographic data, the root mean square error was 0.169 m. From May, 2018 to March, 2019, multi-temporal beach topographic change results indicated that the distance between baseline and shoreline varied in the range of −24.82∼9.58 meter, and weekly variates are −3.16∼0.45 m. The UAV technique can be efficiently used to detect topographic change information in the coastal area.

The commercial vessels activity have a big role to increase the flow of number of cargoes from a port to another port. However, the impact of these activities are the disposal of ballast water from port area to the destination port. The purpose of this research was to analyze the correlation of phytoplankton, zooplankton, and heavy metal which were contained inside the ballast water of commercial vessel towards in waters of the port of Tanjung Emas Semarang. The concentration of heavy metal either from commercial vessels or the waters in port area analyzed by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The result showed that the correlation of zooplankton and phytoplankton in the water ballast at commercial vessels have a medium correlation to zooplankton and phytoplankton in waters of Port of Tanjung Emas Semarang (PTES) were 48.9% and 58.3%. Correlation of heavy metal Cd, Zn, Cu, Zn and Pb in ballast water of commercial vessel toward each metal in waters of PTES area has a strong correlation in contribution were 76.7%, 75.6%, 71.4% and 73.8%. It showed us that the loading activity of commercial vessels in port are contributed towards the pollution in waters. © 2018 The Authors, published by EDP sciences.

Background: Prior studies have incompletely assessed whether the development of cardiometabolic risk factors (CVDRF) (hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes mellitus) mediates the association between anxiety and depression (anxiety/depression) and cardiovascular disease (CVD). Objectives: The authors aimed to evaluate the following: 1) the association between anxiety/depression and incident CVDRFs and whether this association mediates the increased CVD risk;and 2) whether neuro-immune mechanisms and age and sex effects may be involved. Methods: Using a retrospective cohort design, Mass General Brigham Biobank subjects were followed for 10 years. Presence and timing of anxiety/depression, CVDRFs, and CVD were determined using ICD codes. Stress-related neural activity, chronic inflammation, and autonomic function were measured by the assessment of amygdalar-to-cortical activity ratio, high-sensitivity CRP, and heart rate variability. Multivariable regression and mediation analyses were employed. Results: Among 71,214 subjects (median age 49.6 years;55.3% female), 27,048 (38.0%) developed CVDRFs during follow-up. Pre-existing anxiety/depression associated with increased risk of incident CVDRF (OR: 1.71 [95% CI: 1.59-1.83], P < 0.001) and with a shorter time to their development (β = −0.486 [95% CI: −0.62 to −0.35], P < 0.001). The development of CVDRFs mediated the association between anxiety/depression and CVD events (log-odds: 0.044 [95% CI: 0.034-0.055], P < 0.05). Neuro-immune pathways contributed to the development of CVDRFs (P < 0.05 each) and significant age and sex effects were noted: younger women experienced the greatest acceleration in the development of CVDRFs after anxiety/depression. Conclusions: Anxiety/depression accelerate the development of CVDRFs. This association appears to be most notable among younger women and may be mediated by stress-related neuro-immune pathways. The ability for predicting the springback on sheet metal bending processes is identified as an important feature of the ability for predicting the final geometry of sheet metal parts. The grain size effect makes the difficult on application of traditional design method in processing. As through tool and processing design, to understand the effects of grain size effects is an important and powerful way to effectively compensate for and eliminate the springback. In this paper, 99.5% pure iron specimens were annealed at different temperature to obtain the specified grain sizes. The effects of different grain sizes on the saddle after V-bending of the thin sheet metal were investigated. The results show that at the same thickness of specimens, the grain size has no significant effect on the saddle height. However, with increasing the thickness of the specimens the saddle will also be more prominent protruding height. The concave side of bent specimen is against the compression force and its grains structure tend to a round shape, whereas the convex side is against the tensile force and its grains structure tend to a flaky shape. © 2018 Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

OT 081 is a well-known, luminous blazar that is remarkably variable in many energy bands. We present the first broadband study of the source, which includes very high energy (VHE, E > 100 GeV) γ -ray data taken by the MAGIC (Major Atmospheric Gamma-ray Imaging Cherenkov telescopes) and H.E.S.S. (High Energy Stereoscopic System) imaging Cherenkov telescopes. The discovery of VHE γ -ray emission happened during a high state of γ -ray activity in July 2016, observed by many instruments from radio to VHE γ -rays. We identify four states of activity of the source, one of which includes VHE γ -ray emission. Variability in the VHE domain is found on daily time-scales. The intrinsic VHE spectrum can be described by a power law with index 3.27 ± 0.44stat ± 0.15sys (MAGIC) and 3.39 ± 0.58stat ± 0.64sys (H.E.S.S.) in the energy range of 55–300 and 120–500 GeV, respectively. The broadband emission cannot be successfully reproduced by a simple one-zone synchrotron self-Compton model. Instead, an additional external Compton component is required. We test a lepto-hadronic model that reproduces the data set well and a proton-synchrotron-dominated model that requires an extreme proton luminosity. Emission models that are able to successfully represent the data place the emitting region well outside of the broad-line region to a location at which the radiative environment is dominated by the infrared thermal radiation field of the dusty torus. In the scenario described by this flaring activity, the source appears to be a flat spectrum radio quasar (FSRQ), in contrast with past categorizations. This suggests that the source can be considered to be a transitional blazar, intermediate between BL Lac and FSRQ objects. © 2024 The Author(s).
