Hydraulic infrastructures, such as reservoirs and water diversion channels, cause altered streamflow worldwide. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the coupled impacts of reservoir operations and water transfer on downstream streamflow over 42 years (1979–2020) for a tropical river in Vietnam, the Vu Gia Thu Bon (VGTB). We also quantified variations in the multi-sub-basin contributions to the water budget associated with hydraulic structure development. Therefore, a semi-distributed hydrological model, SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool), was developed for the entire VGTB basin considering two plausible scenarios: with a dam and without a dam. In this study, reservoirs substantially affected the streamflow during the 2011–2020 period when 12 cascading hydropower dams were constructed in the Vu Gia sub-basins. The cascading reservoirs across the Vu Gia River reduced the annual average streamflow by 28.1% during this period, whereas their influence was augmented by 13.9% at reaches further downstream. In contrast, the local reservoir and flow diversions created on the Thu Bon River resulted in a 6.5% increase in streamflow. The upstream reservoir operation significantly increased streamflow at the midstream stations by 27.8% compared to the no-dam period. The streamflow decreased in the dry season by 5.6% in the Vu Gia sub-basins and increased by 61.7% in the Thu Bon sub-basins. However, the impacts decreased in the wet season by 41.3% due to the operation of reservoirs, in which Dak Mi 4 had the most significant influence. It was found that the water diverted to the Thu Bon River was governed and reduced by the cascading hydropower dams. Therefore, the operation of 11 reservoirs has partially compensated for the lost water in the Vu Gia sub-basins, to which the Dak Mi 4 plant has transferred 19.7 m3/s (14%). Our findings classify the impact of cascading dams and diversion structures and their interaction with climate change. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

Deep learning has excellent learning and feature classification abilities, extracting features in massive, multi-source, and high-dimensional measurement data. It also diagnoses and generalizes models without relying on manual intervention. Thus, it is widely used in equipment fault diagnosis. We introduce the common models of deep learning: deep confidence network, convolutional neural network, and automatic encoder. Using deep learning, the fault diagnosis of rolling bearings is executed, and the result provides the basis for future development. © 2023 IEEE.

Organizations face an urgent need to become faster, more efficient, and more successful in their commercial operations, given the current state of technological evolution and the arrival of Industry 4.0. Many businesses have adopted the idea of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to achieve this goal. The ERP system is expected to increase worker productivity, improve business performance to maximize profitability and profits, and provide accurate and up-to-date data and information to management and stakeholders. This research aims to find new variables related to integration problems in the use of ERP systems. Using the SPSS statistical program, the data collected will be examined using quantitative exploratory factor analysis (EFA). Data processing then includes collecting demographic information from respondents, reliability testing, conducting the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) test, testing using an anti-image matrix, and deriving new factors using a rotation component matrix. This research seeks to identify new elements underlying ongoing integration problems in ERP system implementation. The research results show several reasons for underlying integration problems and offer in-depth information to management that can be used to analyze and evaluate the ERP system in their company appropriately in the future so that the company's performance becomes superior to the competition. © 2024 IEEE.

This study aims to conduct a systematic literature analysis of the recent research papers on the framework of smart campuses in developing countries. We were using Publish or Perish v8 software to conduct the systematic literature analysis. We were using specific keywords such as 'SMART CAMPUS' and 'DEVELOPING COUNTRIES from the Scopus database. We got 26 papers, ranging from 2015-2023. After several analyses, we were using 16 papers as the basis of this systematic literature review. Through descriptive analysis, we try to respond to these two research questions: 1) The framework of smart campuses in developing countries, and 2) The challenges in utilizing smart campuses in developing countries. The framework of smart campuses that we used consists of 5 indicators: smart society, smart economy, smart environment, smart governance, and smart technology. Based on the analysis, most smart campuses in development focus their activities on smart society and smart governance. While the challenges come from the lack of expertise, lack of facilities, and uncertain economic condition. Several strategies are needed to support the smart campus in developing countries' higher education. © 2023 IEEE.

The problem of flooding in Central Vietnam in general and the lower Ba River in particular is one of the natural disasters that frequently threatens people's lives and socioeconomic development in the ***,climate change is becoming ever more prominent and hotter,making extreme natural disasters more unusual and *** this research,MIKE-FLOOD—a model that connects a 1-dimensional(1-D)MIKE 11 Hydrodynamics(HD)model with a 2-dimensional(2-D)MIKE 21 HD model—was used to set *** model was calculated for three floods:(1)flood in October 1993,(2)flood in November 2003,and(3)flood in November 2007;these are floods with high frequency and relatively large *** results show that the 1993 flood rose and receded *** flood peak inundated an area of 22,600 ha,accounting for 52%of the natural *** flooded areas deeper than 1,2,3,4,and 5m were 16500,11,000,7000,4200,and 2200 ha,*** the center of Tuy Hoa city,the flooded area at the time of maximum water level was almost 100%.

Twitter is currently used as one of the applications that is often used to convey opinions or unrest by the public such as the current issue that is currently rife, namely regarding the increase in fuel oil prices (BBM) in Indonesia. With so much data scattered in a tweet that only consists of a few fragments of words, there must be valuable information or meaning that Twitter users want to convey. Text mining is a very appropriate method to do the analysis because in text mining there is a method that focuses on an opinion which will be concluded into positive and negative opinions. There are several algorithms that are most often used in data mining, namely K-Nearest Neighbor, Decision Tree, and Naive Bayes. The three algorithms used in this study were also compared with the use of feature selection Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) which is well known for improving the performance of algorithms. There are 2165 negative opinion data and 2835 positive sentiment data. The data will be tried based on distinctive sums of data namely 1000 data, 3000 data, and 5000 data. The classic K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm obtained an accuracy result of 75.60% and made it the best when tested with 1000 data. The use of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is proven to improve accuracy as when tested using 3000 data with an accuracy value of 78.21% on the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm. In the mean time, in testing 5000 Data, the classic K-Nearest Neighbor once more gotten the most elevated exactness with a esteem of 74.02%. © 2023 IEEE.

In the current day, digital transformation is imperative; both customer demand and market competitiveness are mostly driving that trend. The fourth industrial revolution has also affected the financial sector. One difficulty that has to be addressed is the desire from customers for quick and useful services. Traditional procedures need to be replaced with digital ones. Furthermore, banking organizations will have a competitive edge in the current market if they are successful in this digital transformation process. Successful transformation, however, does not happen by accident; in fact, the likelihood of completing this change is seen to be very low, necessitating rigorous planning for a company that is ready for the future. There are several components to the preparation in question, both internal and external. In this situation, the company's ability to combine and rearrange its resources quickly is essential for adapting to the ever-changing business environment.

This study investigates how artificial intelligence (AI) can transform audit processes, including how AI can be used in businesses to execute non-technical audit tasks and what effect this will have on those tasks. A qualitative case study methodology is used in the research design to give detailed insights into how AI is being adopted by businesses. This study aims to analyze the aspects that impact AI implementation from the viewpoints of managers, auditors, and other stakeholders. The findings show that artificial intelligence (AI) has a great deal of promise for non-technical audit procedures in businesses. AI can automate tedious jobs, evaluate large data sets to identify hazards and enhance teamwork and communication. These developments may lead to increased productivity, maybe better audit quality, and more effective processes. But there are still difficulties. Data quality is essential to the success of AI integration, and auditors may exhibit bias in favor of human professionals. Careful thought must also be given to ethical issues about transparency and possible job displacement. All things considered, this study adds significant knowledge to both the academic literature and real-world auditing applications. It improves our comprehension of the function of AI in the industry and provides useful information for people involved in information technology development, audit, and legislation.

This study embarked on a rigorous examination of the factors driving user satisfaction and usage behavior in the context of telehealth applications. Utilizing a well- structured Google Form survey, distributed through an array of social media platforms, including WhatsApp, Discord, Instagram, and Line, the research gathered 251 responses. The purposive sampling technique was employed to ensure that the data captured the experiences of individuals who had actively engaged with telehealth services. One hypothesis, relating to the influence of Online Reviews, was found to be unsupported. This surprising result suggests that, contrary to expectations, the opinions and reviews shared online do not significantly affect users' satisfaction or their behavioral decisions in the context of telehealth applications. This finding highlights the need for a more nuanced understanding of the factors influencing user preferences and choices in this rapidly evolving sector. Conversely, other hypotheses examining factors such as Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Perceived Reliability, Price Value, and Purchase Intention were substantiated. The positive influence of these factors on customer usage behavior underscores their significance in shaping user experiences and satisfaction within the telehealth ecosystem. Furthermore, the study posits that facilitating conditions should be closely aligned with technological advancements, as this alignment is conducive to the development of enhanced application features. This insight suggests that telehealth providers should continuously innovate and integrate advanced technologies to ensure that the facilitating conditions meet the ever-evolving needs and expectations of users. © 2023 IEEE.

Glycidyl esters (GEs) and 3-monochloropropanediol esters (3-MCPDEs) are process contaminants commonly found in refined edible oils which are often added to infant formulas. The Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) launched regulations for GEs in infant formulas that went into effect on 1 July 2021. To investigate levels of GEs and 3-MCPDEs in infant formula powder, 45 products were sampled and analysed during 2020–2021. The contents of GEs and 3-MCPDEs in formulas of different brands significantly varied, but their concentrations in all of the formulas complied with European Union (EU) regulations. Infant formulas containing palm oil had significantly higher 3-MCPDE levels in both extracted oils and milk powder than those without palm oil. Concentrations of GEs and 3-MCPDEs in infant formula powder and extracted oils were significantly lower in products from Europe than those from Australia and New Zealand. Infants aged 0–1 years in Taiwan who consumed only infant formula showed a margin of exposure (MoE) exceeding 25,000. Mean consumer exposures to 3-MCPDEs stayed below the tolerable daily intake (TDI), while high exposures at the 95th percentile (P95) exceeded the TDI by 1.7-fold. Herein, we present the changing trends in the risk assessment results of infant formula across various countries in the decade. Implementation of regulations and mitigation strategy effectively reduced the risk of infants being exposed to GEs and 3-MCPDEs through infant formula. © 2024 Taipei Medical University.
