Indonesia has a high tendency of having landslides. Bogor is one of regency which is very prone to landslide disaster due to high rainfall. Landslides are a very dangerous threat to public safety. The preparedness can build disaster resilient communities that can support the national resilience. Sociodemographic characteristic and disaster experience are determining factors for the success of preparedness. The purpose of this research is to develop a model of the influence of sociodemographic characteristics and disaster experience toward household preparedness for facing landslide. This research is done in Cibadak Village, Sukamakmur Bogor. This research uses a quantitative approach with 100 sample of households. Multiple linear regression technique is used for analyzing the model. The results of the research showed that household preparedness is significantly influenced by sociodemographic characteristics which is education (p = 0.000), meanwhile age, income and the number of family member don't significantly influence. Beside that the household preparedness is also greatly influenced by disaster experience too (p = 0.000). Education influence on household preparedness for facing landslide as much as 38.81% and the disaster experience is 52.85%. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Environmental change and technological disruption are expanding phenomena impacting today's economic world. A dynamic business environment can inspire companies to engage in both exploitative and exploratory innovation at the same time. Traditional financial technologies have evolved substantially over the past decade. Although the environment challenges technology to adapt to business sustainability, artificial intelligence has not replaced human bankers. There is, however, a scarcity of research on the relationship between ambidextrous work and human capital, indicating that few studies have been undertaken. To better understand how banks can achieve such organizational ambidexterity, we develop a framework that investigates the combined effects of organizational human capital (O-HC), environmental dynamism (END), and technological capacity (TEC) on organizational ambidexterity (ORA). The theory of contingency is the theoretical foundation of the subject. This quantitative analysis used a sample size of sixty-three executives from Indonesia's banking industry and was analyzed using PLS-SEM and SPSS to determine the measurement and structural models. The results show that TEC and O-HC directly affected ORA, but END did not. We also found that firms with O-HC are more likely to utilize high TEC to promote ORA. The findings of this study provide practitioners with insight into how they can promote human capital and TEC as pillars of ambidextrous banking. This research contributes to the literature on ORA and offers managers insights on aligning their knowledge practices to develop TEC when pursuing ORA. © 2024 The Authors

The growth of international trade resulted in the raising of the total containers transported annually. In Indonesia, the number of container throughput has reached 12.85 million TEUs in 2018. In providing fast and efficient port services, container terminals (CT) constantly face complex problems on its everyday operation, one of the operational level problems occurred at CT is Container Stowage Problem (CSP). CSP is an NP-Hard Problem, therefore metaheuristic algorithm is used to solve the problem. This study proposed the use of Global, Local, and Neighborhood - Particle Swarm Optimization (GLN-PSO) algorithm to solve CSP. The basic idea of GLN-PSO is emphasize on the particle movement that considers multiple social learning structures. GLN-PSO algorithm is a development of the PSO algorithm that has been used in previous studies and is proven to outperform Bee Swarm algorithm. In this study, GLN-PSO is used to solve two types of data, namely small instances (consist of 5-27 containers) and medium instances (consist of 100-140 containers). The result showed that for small instances, GLN-PSO can outperform the PSO algorithm in terms of objective function value by 0.72% and in terms of computational time by 0,172 seconds. For medium instances, GLN-PSO has not been able to outperform the PSO algorithm by producing a gap of 27% for the objective function and 8,2 seconds for computational time © 2021 ACM.

The study evaluates shallow groundwater quality from agricultural, industrial, and domestic areas within 150m of the Citarum River, focusing on anthropogenic pollution. Measurements included physicochemical, heavy metals, and microbiological parameters. Heavy metals pose significant health risks, with Pb inversely correlated to distance from the riverbank. Non-carcinogenic risk indicates water is only safe for dermal exposure, while carcinogenic risk shows unacceptable levels even for dermal contact, with Cd presenting the highest risk. Health risks are ranked as agricultural > industrial > domestic areas, with minimum safe distances from the riverbank being industrial > agricultural > domestic areas. © 2024, The Authors. This study embarked on a rigorous examination of the factors driving user satisfaction and usage behavior in the context of telehealth applications. Utilizing a well- structured Google Form survey, distributed through an array of social media platforms, including WhatsApp, Discord, Instagram, and Line, the research gathered 251 responses. The purposive sampling technique was employed to ensure that the data captured the experiences of individuals who had actively engaged with telehealth services. One hypothesis, relating to the influence of Online Reviews, was found to be unsupported. This surprising result suggests that, contrary to expectations, the opinions and reviews shared online do not significantly affect users’ satisfaction or their behavioral decisions in the context of telehealth applications. This finding highlights the need for a more nuanced understanding of the factors influencing user preferences and choices in this rapidly evolving sector. Conversely, other hypotheses examining factors such as Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Perceived Reliability, Price Value, and Purchase Intention were substantiated. The positive influence of these factors on customer usage behavior underscores their significance in shaping user experiences and satisfaction within the telehealth ecosystem. Furthermore, the study posits that facilitating conditions should be closely aligned with technological advancements, as this alignment is conducive to the development of enhanced application features. This insight suggests that telehealth providers should continuously innovate and integrate advanced technologies to ensure that the facilitating conditions meet the ever-evolving needs and expectations of users.

This study explores the key determinants of Supply Chain 4.0 (SC4.0) maturity in the context of a developing country by examining the relationships between supply chain ambidexterity, supply chain agility, and the maturity of SC4.0. The study was carried out using the survey method involving 154 managers from Indonesian manufacturing companies. The SC4.0 maturity model was developed and tested using structural equation modeling. From our analysis, it was found that supply chain ambidexterity emphasizing on innovation positively influences the companies’ agility and SC4.0 maturity levels, and supply chain agility partially mediates supply chain ambidexterity. This paper contributes to the operationalization of SC4.0 maturity determinants that incorporate innovation and technological aspects and extends the extant literature by empirically elaborating the determinants and antecedents of SC4.0 maturity that may expedite the achievement of SC4.0 maturity. This implies that companies and supply chain professionals aiming at achieving their SC4.0 maturity should do so by being outward-looking and, at the same time, foster supply chain collaboration with external networks. This paper is pioneering the empirical study on SC4.0 and offers a means to achieving SC4.0 maturity through SC ambidexterity and SC agility, particularly in the context of a developing country. © 2022 by the authors. This study explores the impact of halal labels on the purchase interest of foreign Muslim consumers in Taiwan, focusing on packaged ice cream. A total of 92 respondents from 11 different nationalities participated in the survey, providing insights into how halal certification influences consumer behavior in a non-Muslim majority country. The research used a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data from structured questionnaires and qualitative insights from interviews. The findings indicate a strong positive correlation (p = 0.985, p < 0.001) between the presence of halal labels and consumers' purchase intentions. Halal labels act as a key factor in building trust and encouraging the purchase of ice cream among Muslim consumers. The study highlights the importance of halal certification not only as a religious requirement but also as a marker of quality, safety, and ethical production standards. These insights are crucial for businesses and policymakers aiming to tap into the growing halal market in Taiwan.

The Vietnamese Mekong Delta (VMD) has experienced significant morpho logical changes over decades, resulting in profound socioeconomic and environmental conse quences. This study investigated the VMD’s spatial and temporal morphological alterations from 1998 to 2020, utilizing four bathymetric datasets and remote sensing techniques. The ana lysis revealed that the average annual riverbed incision rate in the Tien and Hau Rivers dimin ished from-0.19 m/year (1998–2005) to-0.11 m/year (2005–2017) and further dropped to-0.10 m/year (2017–2020). The upper reaches of the Tien and Hau Rivers exhibited pronounce deepening over the three periods, whereas their lower reaches witnessed a converse trend. Add itionally, the study unveiled the average annual riverbank migration rate along the VMD, ran ging from 5 m/year to-5 m/year during the same examined periods. Notably, the dynamic processes of erosion and deposition intensified between 2017 and 2020. This research aims to provide crucial insights for refining sediment management strategies in the VMD. © 2025 The Author(s).

Assessing the ecosystem service values of tea plantations using conventional and organic farming methods: Is organic farming always better?

Low-elevation mountainous (LEM) areas in some countries are reclaimed for agriculture (especially, for deep cultivation of tea trees) due to their accessibility, higher temperature, and more rainfall, contributing to biodiversity and ecological balance. However, extensive development in these areas causes lasting ecological damage;and hence it is crucial to evaluate the ecological value of these areas for formulating relevant ecological protection policies. Therefore, this study evaluated the ecosystem service value of tea plantations in LEM areas using the contingent valuation method based on the subjective consciousness of farmers, rather than an objective assessment. A questionnaire survey was conducted on tea farmers in Mingjian Township (which is one of the major tea-producing LEM areas in Mid-Taiwan);and ecosystem service values of tea plantations between conventional farming methods (CFMs) and organic farming methods (OFMs) were compared. Firstly, the differences in willingness to pay (WTP) for the samples including and excluding protest responses were investigated, and then a regression analysis to estimate the WTP price for maintaining the tea plantation ecology was conducted. Empirical results showed a significantly negative correlation between the WTP price and the education level of farmers in tea plantations using CFMs, but a significantly positive correlation in tea plantations using both CFMs and OFMs. Most respondents were male and used CFMs to operate tea plantations;and those with higher monthly income and using both CFMs and OFMs were willing to pay more. Regarding ecosystem services of tea plantations, the respondents preferred the "provisioning" ecosystem services, and were willing to pay an average of NT$ 718.92 and NT$ 794.32 per year for maintaining the ecology of tea plantations using CFMs and OFMs, respectively. This study aims to develop a system for extracting crucial information from tire sidewalls using Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Initially, images of tire were captured manually by smartphone cameras, including Redmi 9T, iPhone 11, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The captured images are then transferred to a computer for storage. Subsequently, these images were cropped according to the boundaries identified by Hough Circle Transform (HCT). The cropped images were then further pre-processed. During the pre-processing phase, geometrical transformation and image sharpening techniques are applied to enhance the clarity and readability of the text images. The text is then extracted using Google Vision, with the extracted text categorized by size, DOT, brand and pattern. The results indicated that the effectiveness of image pre-processing was constrained by the accuracy of circle detection, which reached a maximum rate of 87.1%. This causes parts of the text to be cut out inaccurately, leading to a suboptimal extraction accuracy of 55.65%. It is also observed that the Redmi 9T camera produced inconsistent results compared to other devices. Specifically, the iPhone 11 and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra demonstrated superior extraction accuracies of 69.71% and 66.37%, respectively, whereas the Redmi 9T achieved a lower extraction accuracy of 37.76%.
