This review presents a comprehensive perspective on the genomic surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 in Taiwan, with a focus on next-generation sequencing and phylogenetic interpretation. This article aimed to explore how Taiwan has utilized genomic sequencing technologies and surveillance to monitor and mitigate the spread of COVID-19. We examined databases and sources of genomic sequences and highlighted the role of data science methodologies in the explanation and analyses of evolutionary data. This review addressed the challenges and limitations inherent in genomic surveillance, such as concerns regarding data quality and the necessity for interdisciplinary expertise for accurate data interpretation. Special attention was given to the unique challenges faced by Taiwan, including its high population density and major transit destination for international travelers. We underscored the far-reaching implications of genomic surveillance data for public health policy, particularly in influencing decisions regarding travel restrictions, vaccine administration, and public health decision-making. Studies were examined to demonstrate the effectiveness of using genomic data to implement public health measures. Future research should prioritize the integration of methodologies and technologies in evolutionary data science, particularly focusing on phylodynamic analytics. This integration is crucial to enhance the precision and applicability of genomic data. Overall, we have provided an overview of the significance of genomic surveillance in tracking SARS-CoV-2 variants globally and the pivotal role of data science methodologies in interpreting these data for effective public health interventions.

Mobile cloud computing (MCC) refers to an infrastructure in which data processing and storage can take place far from mobile devices. The convergence of compact registration and network distributed computing has created scalable distributed computing. This technology provides consumers a number of points of interest, similar to storage limits, reliability, scalability and access to real-time information. As a result, it is expanding steadily and is undoubtedly organised into a daily day-to-day life. The Cloud servers can be used for the preparation and storage of ***, in the current conditions, the secrecy of photos and information is generally important. In this paper, we concentrate mainly on the safe re-appropriation of photographs.

Agriculture is the primary livelihood factor in the growth of India's economy. One of the significant challenges faced by the Government of India in the agriculture sector is to increase the delivery of subsidies by re-engineering the existing process. One of the solutions initiated by the government of India on 1st January 2013 with the highest priority is called a Direct Cash transfer scheme under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme. It involves crediting subsidies (cash/payments) directly to the farmer's account. However, the major problem associated with this scheme is that the government subsidies do not reach all the eligible farmers due to corruption, delay, intermediaries, and other reasons. The present direct cash transfers system's major drawbacks such as (key loopholes are) lack of proper auditing, inability to track subsidy, and inadequate digital banking infrastructure especially in rural areas. In this regard, the disbursement of direct cash transfer scheme is addressed benefitting the farmers directly via Blockchain Smart Contracts technology thereby ensuring transparency, de-duplication, reduced delays, and reducing instances of fraud in the existing government subsidy delivery system. We aim to develop a blockchain-based smart contracts prototype model called a single-window approach for automating farmer's subsidies and eliminating middlemen. The automated model will be fast, transparent, and immutable by reducing the complexities faced by Indian farmers.

Traffic congestion is one of the major problems in most of the cities across the globe and it leads to several other problems like pollution, time wastage, long traffic queues on roads and may cause accidents. Improvement of Road infrastructure is not always the feasible solution to resolve the problem. In real life scenario shorter distance route towards the destination attracts majority of people and at times it may aggravate traffic jam conditions. Therefore, a real time traffic information for intelligent decision making to decide the route preference is required. Moreover, a system which considers the factor of distance towards the destination along with real time traffic situation on that route will add to the solution to the congestion problem. certain parameters such as distance, weather condition, road location, day of week and time are considered to formulate the problem and to find solutions to these problems This paper outlines a combination of logistic regression with fuzzy logic such that a smart decision to preferred path can be taken. It is used to compute the probability of each possible path by considering the real time traffic information, distance and road condition and later is used to take decisions in an uncertain scenario. Proposed Method considers the number of parameters like distance, weather condition, road location, day of week and time.

In recent years, large-scale urbanisation has been on the rise with cities being the hubs for growth, but rural business continues to play an important role in any country's overall development. A recent report reveals that almost 69 percent of India's population resides in their villages, accounting for almost 50 percent of the nation's GDP. This agricultural region varies from small towns with less than 500 residents to small towns. There are also similar situations in western nations. Despite their economic contribution, smaller villages seem to earn fewer in terms of infrastructural expenditure. The major problems addressed in these small towns include shortage of adequate public transit, emergency care and limited knowledge on federal subsidies for rural areas. Our vision is to expand the Smart city to Smart village by allowing use of recent technical advances and giving more attention to the problems in rural areas. The approach in this chapter is to bring IoT technology to Villages by literally showing a network of linked sensors and knowledge dissemination devices, controlling energy use and ensuring infrastructure protection. It gives a wide-ranging vision of enhancing the standard of living in villages and encourages them to meet the essential needs of domestic villagers.

Ecology is a branch of biology that studies the interaction and relationship between organisms and their environment. Abundance, distribution of organisms and patterns of biodiversity are great interests for many ecologists. One of interesting ecosystems to be studied is a cave. A cave has a typical environment character with a vulnerable ecosystem. Many caves in Indonesia, particularly in Gunungsewu karst area have been developed into tourist objects (show caves) and managed imprudently. Such cave management has potential to harm the environment and leads to ecosystem destruction. Arthropods are the most abundance fauna in cave that play critical roles in maintaining cave ecosystems equilibrium. In the heart of statistical ecology, we need to analyze the differences on Arthropods community and abiotic (climatic-edaphic) parameters among show caves and wild caves. Statistical techniques are needed for the extraction of such information. GLLVM is one method that is able to explain spatial-based information and is particularly suitable for ecology. In this paper, we use negative binomial models to see the differences on spatial patterns of predator and decomposer Arthropods, also characteristic of edaphic and climatic in each cave.

The paper proposes an approach that finds the similarity between two songs. This song pattern similarity can is established by knowing the note structures and their fundamental frequencies of each note of the two songs and then compute the Pearson's Correlation of Coefficient. If the value of Correlation of Coefficient is very near to 1, that indicates the two songs are very much similar, otherwise it indicates a certain percentage of similarity. To establish the work, consider some songs as the test data and find out the song pattern similarities among them. The main aim of this paper is that it can be used as the song pattern similarity matching of music in the field of pattern recognition. The primary aspect of this work is to find the efficiency of some statistical approaches like Pearson's Correlation Coefficient is used for the matching patterns of two different song structures of combination of frequencies of different note structures in the field of Computational Musicology.

Watermarking is a technique to protect the copyrights of digital media like image, audio, video, etc. Visual Cryptography (VC) is a scheme for hiding information in still images. The Visual Cryptography Scheme splits the secret image into unintelligible images, these images are called shares. The shares are distributed to 'n' participants. Any 'k' shares out of 'n' reveal the secret image and less than 'k' shares recover no information about secret. Amalgamating Visual cryptography with watermarking yields the best solution for resolving image ownership disputes and detection of infringements of copyrights. In this paper, (2,2) VC scheme is employed, one of the shares is embedded in the low frequency domain of DWT and the other share is registered with the Trusted Authority (TA). The secret image is obtained by performing XOR operation on the two shares. The experimental results revealed that the proposed scheme can not only prove the ownership of image but also withstand various image processing attacks.

In recent years, the COVID-19 pandemic has become one of the most crucial scientific issues in the world, and efforts to eradicate the disease are still ongoing. The acute inflammatory reaction associated with this disease is associated with several complications such as cytokine storm, multiple organ damage, lung fibrosis, and blood clots. PTX3, as part of the humoral innate immune systems, is one of the acute-phase proteins that perform various functions, such as modulating inflammation, repairing tissue, and recruiting immune cells. PTX3 is increased in people with SARS-CoV-2, and its level decreases with proper treatment. Therefore, it can be regarded as a suitable marker for the prognosis of the COVID-19 and evaluating the effectiveness of the treatment method applied. However, some studies have shown that PTX3 can be a double-edged sword and develop tumors by providing an immunosuppressive environment.

Jump Point Search, an algorithm developed for fast search on uniform cost grids, has successfully improved the performance of grid-based search. But, the approach itself is actually a set of diverse ideas applied together. This paper decomposes the algorithm and gradually re-constructs it, showing the component pieces from which the algorithm is constructed. In this process, we are able to define a spectrum of new algorithms that borrow and repurpose ideas from Jump Point Search. This decomposition opens the door for applying the ideas from Jump Point Search in other grid domains with significantly different characteristics from two dimensional grids.
