With the increasing rate of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) installed and the different Microgrids schemes implemented around the world, it has done necessary to develop intelligent and autonomous control strategies to deal with the power flow and load sharing requirements. In this document, a hierarchical controller based on a Multi-agents Systems (MAS) methodology applied to low voltage Microgrids is proposed. The control strategy designed regulates the active and reactive power flow in both operation modes: grid connected and standalone, where is located some local controllers designed with fuzzy logic. Global multi-agent strategy can reconfigure and synchronize the system under new load states, supervising the Voltage Source Converter (VSC) units providing bidirectional energy flow by managing the modulation signals. Different cases are studied in simulation demonstrating the methodology adaptability and flexibility control. Conclusions and future work are given.

We propose a method of correcting phase distortion which is caused when measuring any objects by phase shifting method with an ordinary projector. We have measured some objects with the projector which is commercially available [1]. In this paper, we try to improve the precision with the proposing method. The method calculates differences between the idealized phase and observed, and then feeding back the error to the observed phase. By using this method, the precision could be made better by 47%. © 2012 IEEE.

The evolution of the current power grid to the Smart Grid requires the integration of different engineering fields and methodologies in order to assure high efficiency, reliability, quality of service and contribute to the greenhouse emissions reduction. Power quality plays a key role in this progressive migration due to the power disturbances expected in all the power systems structure including the Electrical Industrial Systems (EIS), where is necessary to provide of analysis tools and adequate harmonic compensation studies to counteract the perturbations effects according the standards. An important technical option to compensate the harmonic pollution in industrial applications are the Switching Compensators (SC) or Active Power Filters (APF) which have demonstrated to be an effective solution under linear and nonlinear loads. In this document, some important industries are characterised according to their load distribution and a variability index established. Shunt SC based p - q theory are used to harmonic compensation keeping in mind the current changes presented during a typical industrial plant day. Additionally, is identified an appropriate relation index between the Total Demand Distortion (TDD) and the current consumption load. The results found show a significant improvement of harmonic compensation evaluating the performance indexes mentioned and the fulfilment of the IEEE - 519 standard.

Smart Microgrid (MG) systems require the development of new control strategies in order to provide of autonomous operability in their processes and self-diagnosis in case of different operation ranges. The integration and deep penetration of Distributed Generation (DG) and the suddenly changes in the load during the transition's system generates different dynamic behaviours, requiring the implementation of hierarchical control loops to distribute efficiently the currents through the power converters involved. This document describes a hierarchical control for load sharing in the DC-DC and DC-AC converters of a MG using petri nets to distribute the local controller actions. Different study cases are presented according to the grid connected and isolated operation modes of MG. Results in simulation show the flexibility of the proposed strategy under multiple changes in the system. Finally the conclusions and future work are given.

We independently have developed low-cost finger vein certification device. The light transmission of a finger differs depending on each person so we need automatic light intensity adjustment system to certificate each person. In this paper, we report the automatic system which controls light intensity by feedback control and it is controlled by intensities of captured images. This adjustment system makes possible to capture stable and high contrasted images which shows any finger veins. Moreover, we have developed two types of finger vein certification devices. One is penetrated type and the other is reflection type. The penetrated device shows over 99.9[%] certification rate, and the reflection device shows 98.82[%]. The former shows high certification accuracy, but the reflection device could be smaller than the penetrated device.

This paper presents an implementation of 2-D chaotic Baker map using different modes of operations after applying the Fractional Fourier Transform (FrFT) on digital images. The proposed image cryptosystem implements the chaotic Baker map scrambling using three different modes of operation; Cipher Block Chain (CDC), Cipher Feed-Back (CFB), Output Feed-Back (OFB), in which the Initialization Vector (IV) works as the main key. We examine its implementation for digital images along with its detailed security analysis. The security analysis includes the statistical analysis, the histogram analysis, the correlation coefficient metric, the maximum deviation metric, the irregular deviation metric, the noise immunity, the processing time, and the key space analysis. Experiments and results verify and prove that the proposed image cryptosystem is highly secure from the cryptographic viewpoint, more immune to noise, has high key sensitivity, and takes less processing time.

In wireless body sensor networks, sensors may be installed on various body limbs to wirelessly collect body information for homecare services. The orientations and accelerations on each limb are different for various motion states. For example, each limb has different acceleration when walking versus running, and orientation when standing versus lying. According to the above information, the body motion state may be decided. Furthermore, each person has unique body characteristics such as height, foot pitch, and motion habit to effect the body reconstruction. Therefore, it is a challenging issue how to present human motions through 3D skeleton system simulation, and achieve an adaptive reconstruction of human motion on wireless body sensor networks according to the different body characteristics of each person. In this study, we proposed a novel scheme to utilize multiple triple axis accelerometer and gyroscopes to measure limb accelerations, then calculated the locations of limbs and try to employ kinematic theory to reconstruct human body skeleton, called 3D Adaptive human Motion Reconstruction (AMR). And we applied Body Correction Algorithm (BCA) to correct human body characteristics and filtered the error of transmission noise. This system was tested and validated with success. © 2011 IEEE.

Test case prioritization involves scheduling test cases in an order that increases the effectiveness in achieving some performance goals. One of the most important performance goals is the rate of fault detection. Test cases should run in an order that increases the possibility of fault detection and also that detects faults at the earliest in its testing life cycle. In this paper, an algorithm is proposed for system level test case prioritization (TCP) from software requirement specification to improve user satisfaction with quality software and also to improve the rate of severe fault detection. The proposed model prioritizes the system test cases based on the three factors: customer priority, changes in requirement, implementation complexity. The proposed prioritization technique is validated with two different sets of industrial projects and the results show that the proposed prioritization technique improves the rate of severe fault detection. ©2010 IEEE.
