We consider the trajectory planning of a 6-Degree-of-Freedom (DOF) robot manipulator using computer algebra, with controlling the orientation of the end-effector. As a first step towards the objective, we present a solution to the inverse kinematics problem of the manipulator such that the orientation of the end-effector remains constant using computer algebra. © 2024 CEUR-WS. This paper discusses the trajectory planning of a robot manipulator with computer algebra. In the operation of robot manipulators, it is important to make the trajectory of the end effector so that it does not collide with obstacles. For this purpose, we have proposed a method of generating a method of trajectory planning using cubic spline curves. However, the method has the disadvantage that the trajectory may not be included in the feasible region of the manipulator, thus an extra test for the inclusion of the curve is needed. In this paper, we propose a new method of generating a trajectory using Bézier curves, which is guaranteed to be included in the feasible region. © 2024 CEUR-WS. All rights reserved.

This study focuses on the brainwave analysis of the correlation between listening to the rain and water sounds and reducing human-perceived temperature. Brainwave changes are monitored when experimental subjects listen to rain and water sounds at various frequencies. The experiment result shows that listening to the sounds of rain and water in an environment of high temperature and high humidity can boost α waves to induce feelings of calm and relaxed mental state. In order to investigate subjects’ psychological and physiological changes induced by brainwave changes while listening to rain and water sounds for different time durations in a high temperature and humidity environment, this study uses the Fourier transform to obtain the spectra of natural rain/water sounds and analyzes the sound frequencies. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The application of information technology in addition to making internal business processes more effective and efficient, is also to improve customer service. This role is important for companies to maintain the sustainability of information systems as a strategic tool for competitive advantage so system availability is absolutely essential. Research related to the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) needs to be carried out to see the readiness of a corporation to build a backup system in different places and locations. By using the method of factor analysis and regression analysis to form an evaluation model, it will obtain an overview of what factors must be considered and what the current conditions are. The results of the study show that there are Core Technical DRP, Organizational Preparation, and Costing factors which are the main variables in supporting DRP readiness. The conclusion from this study, through these three new factors a mathematical model can be built as a reference for improving DRP implementation in corporations.

In the current day, digital transformation is imperative; both customer demand and market competitiveness are mostly driving that trend. This study investigates how artificial intelligence (AI) can transform audit processes, including how AI can be used in businesses to execute non-technical audit tasks and what effect this will have on those tasks. A qualitative case study methodology is used in the research design to give detailed insights into how AI is being adopted by businesses. This study aims to analyze the aspects that impact AI implementation from the viewpoints of managers, auditors, and other stakeholders. The findings show that artificial intelligence (AI) has a great deal of promise for non-technical audit procedures in businesses. AI can automate tedious jobs, evaluate large data sets to identify hazards and enhance teamwork and communication. These developments may lead to increased productivity, maybe better audit quality, and more effective processes. But there are still difficulties. Data quality is essential to the success of AI integration, and auditors may exhibit bias in favor of human professionals. Careful thought must also be given to ethical issues about transparency and possible job displacement. All things considered, this study adds significant knowledge to both the academic literature and real-world auditing applications. It improves our comprehension of the function of AI in the industry and provides useful information for people involved in information technology development, audit, and legislation.

This article describes the architecture of software services that provide registration of small boat data to build maritime safety. The proposed system architecture which so-called SIMKAPEL aims to support small boat registration for maritime safety. It is developed from a conventional service-oriented architecture (SOA) with an open standard for data interoperability between elements. The goal of this research is to implement and evaluate the proposed architecture to support small boat registration and e-certification. Several parts of the architecture have been implemented as a platform that provides core services and data sources to be used by Ministry of Transportation, Directorate General of Sea Transportation, and other government agencies. Finally, the proposed SIMKAPEL platform with the SOA architecture is evaluated for its benefits to users through the expert opinion survey to measure its efficiency. The analysis results showed that SOA-based SIMKAPEL is feasible to use as a boat e-certification system. Furthermore, experiment results provide three parameters (e.g., maritime safety, namely, cargo/passengers, boat safety facilities, and maritime safety systems) with efficiency values of 42%, 46%, and 42%, respectively. The parameter with the highest efficiency shows a big effect on the level of safety of the boat and passengers. Thus, the parameters that need to be prioritized and need boat owners’ attention are cargo/passenger, boat safety equipment, and maritime safety system. © 2023, The Author(s).

With the advancement of technology, people constantly use IT through the Internet. In this modern living environment, many individuals exploit this technological landscape for illegal gains and criminal activities. Judicial investigation units gather relevant evidence from the crime scene and process it when a crime occurs. When the medium used in criminal activity involves information technology, it is referred to as digital evidence. Unlike traditional evidence, which leaves traces if moved or altered, digital evidence can be copied without any detectable changes, posing challenges to maintaining its integrity and accuracy. This article explores how digital identification can ensure that the content of a report matches the evidence seized at the scene. It also addresses how the validity of digital evidence, as presented by the investigating authority, can be upheld in court. Additionally, it discusses the use of digital evidence and electronic handwritten signatures to enhance evidence preservation measures. © 2024 IEEE.

The Javan rhinoceros (Rhinoceros sondaicus) is one of the endemic animals in Java, Indonesia, which is currently threatened with extinction and is included in the 25 species program as the top priority for the Indonesian government. In 2021 the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry said that only 75 Javan rhinos remained in Ujung Kulon National Park in Banten Province. Ujung Kulon National Park is the primary habitat of the Javan rhino, so it requires special attention to protect this habitat. One of the reasons for the reduced population of the Javan rhinoceros is the diminishing availability of habitat. Habitat reduction occurs due to changes in land cover due to human activities. This study aims to identify changes in the habitat suitability of the Javan rhinoceros due to human pressure. Parameters of human pressure will be identified using changes in land cover in 2000 and 2018. Remote sensing and GIS technology will be used to monitor habitat suitability for endemic animals over a large area and a long time. The Javan rhino habitat suitability analysis in 2000 and 2018 will integrate geographical, environmental, and meteorological parameters. The MCDA (Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis) method will determine a decision from several suitability parameters. Based on observations of human activities parameters, there have been significant changes to land cover from 2000-2018, especially in residential areas, which negatively impacted the suitability of the Javan Rhino's habitat. The results of this study can identify priority areas that require protective action for the Javan Rhinoceros habitat. This research is expected to be the basis for protecting endangered endemic animals, especially the Javan Rhinoceros, so their habitat is preserved. © 2023 International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.
