Resource-constrained project scheduling problem (RCPSP) is a kind of representative practical engineering problem, the purpose is to schedule activities in the project through rational use of limited resources in the minimum time. This paper proposes an improved hybrid cuckoo algorithm (CS&SA) to solve the RCPSP problem. Firstly, the individual elements are randomly coded into priority vectors, and the population is decoded using serial scheduling to convert the individual into a set of task scheduling sequences. Secondly, the Levy flight is redesigned to change the algorithm from random walk to adaptive as the population fitness changes. Then, this article adds three neighborhood update techniques to meet the update requirements of the algorithm at different stages. Finally, in order to prevent the algorithm from falling into a local optimum, this paper introduces a simulated annealing strategy to allow the algorithm to accept some individuals with poor quality with a certain probability in each iteration. In the testing part, this paper firstly tests the effectiveness and optimization of three different-scale examples in the classic example library PSPLIB for RCPSP problems. Among them, the average error of the CS&SA algorithm in the small-scale J30 is 0.25%, and the average error in the medium-scale J60 is 11.21%, and the average error of the large-scale J120 is 19.83%. Then, by comparing other intelligent optimization algorithms, it is proved that NCS&SA is superior to other algorithms in optimization and accuracy. © 2021. All Rights Reserved.

Diabetes Mellitus is one of the Non-Communicable Disease. It is characterized by hyperglycemia. It may be reason for numerous health difficulties. According to the statistics in coming years, in 2030, worldwide it reaches up to 643 million counts of diabetic patients. The various factors such as Bad Diet, High Blood Pressure, Obesity, Age, Lack of Exercise etc. can led to Diabetes Mellitus. The various diseases like nerve damage, heart problem, eye problem, kidney disease, stroke in many people caused by high risk of Diabetes Mellitus. Machine Learning plays vital role in healthcare sectors. Using various Machine Learning techniques, a study can be done on large datasets and discover unseen facts, unseen patterns to realize awareness from the data and predict results consequently. In this work, the PIMA Indian Diabetes dataset is considered for Predictive Analysis. The Decision Tree algorithm, namely ID3 (Iterative Dichotomize 3) is used for a predictive analysis. The major phases include preprocessing, feature extraction, classification, and prediction. The classification accuracies of 79.76% and 76.3% are obtained for balanced and unbalanced datasets respectively. The maximum specificity and sensitivity obtained are 79.75% and 79.78% respectively. The ROC curve gives 79.57% overall classification accuracy. The work assists physicians as a second opinion. It can help various health industries to predict the diabetes disease in a better way. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper investigates the effect of DNS-primarily based authentication on wireless network safety. DNS-primarily based authentication is used to authenticate consumer credentials on Wi-Fi networks, generally primarily based upon the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). The paper aims in presenting distinctive pattern in identification of vehicles using basic and sequential algorithms. Vehicle detection and classification are crucial in traffic control and management decision-making. Vehicle characteristics are critical elements for identifying vehicles. For vehicle detection, the programmer additionally employs thresholds and corner detection techniques. This technique shall be used in order to extract the interest points from an image, while background subtraction method can remove unwanted points. Within a region of object, many corner points will be compacted, which is regarded an initial prerequisite. Thickly surrounded ends are clustered;which provides clue of points related to each vehicle, which is an important part in vehicle identification. The non-vehicle region is separated when the grouping is completed. The corner points are traced using the LK algorithm to ensure that they remain stable. A condensed content-based signature that summarises an audio recording is known as an audio fingerprint. Audio The capability to recognize music regardless of design and without the use of meta-data or watermark embedding has made fingerprinting technologies popular. In. tegrity checking, watermark support, and content-based aural retrieval are additional applications for fingerprinting. The various methods of fingerprinting have been discussed using various justifications and terminologies, such as pattern matching, multimedia information retrieval, or cryptography. It is a distinct and condensed digest created using perceptually important elements of a video. Audio material can be monitored using fingerprinting technologies without requiring embedding of metadata or watermarks. However, audio fingerprinting has extra applications The algorithm is trained using thousands of mini audio speech commands. In order to improve the training efficiency, audio features are extracted during a pre-processing. The accuracy of the developed model is 83.7%. © 2023 IEEE.

In the high-performance computing domain, Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is a novel accelerator that exhibits high flexibility and performance characteristics distinct from other accelerators such as the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). Recent advanced high-end FPGA is equipped with multiple channels of high speed optical link up to 100Gbps performance for each. This is a crucial feature when we construct PC clusters with FPGAs as accelerators, however it is not easy to utilize from user kernels because this feature is implemented in low level and simple direct communication between neighboring FPGAs. In order to provide the communication feature between FPGAs for accelerated PC clusters, we developed a communication system named CIRCUS which implies a user-friendly API from OpenCL and is equipped with routing function over multi-hop communication on multi-dimensional torus network of FPGAs. However, current CIRCUS only provides a point-to-point communication between source and destination FPGAs. In ordinary parallel processing environment such as MPI, the user program the message passing with various collective communication functions for parallel algorithm, for instance Allreduce, Allgather, etc. In this paper, we implement the collective communication function over CIRCUS for user-friendly programming of ordinary parallel algorithms on FPGAs. As the first target, we implement Allreduce function which is the most essential and important function. The paper describes the CIRCUS system briefly followed by the design, implementation and preliminary performance evaluation on Intel Stratix10 FPGAs. © 2023 ACM.

Mental illness is a common condition in the 21st century. Despite the significant number of people who experience mental illness, many continue to experience stress without comprehending its damaging effects on their brain. Python and machine learning tools are adopted to create the mental health tracker system. According to the experimentation, the work focuses on developing a psychological well-being tracker. The prediction uses various models such as logistic regression, random forest, decision tree, and k-nearest neighbor. In the proposed system, the patient must answer the questions to predict their mental illness condition. Based on the responses given by the patient, the system will predict whether they need treatment or not. The system will attempt to gain an understanding of a user's mental state, determine whether they are suffering, and then suggest steps they can take to improve their mental health situation. Mental health prediction might benefit psychological departments looking to enhance their counseling and diagnosis abilities. The model was developed by collecting the question-answer set as options related to mental health by consulting specialized doctors in the hospital. The model is trained using different ML algorithms, finding their accuracy and predicting the results. The analysis was made by considering the raw data and normalized data. Models performance was improved with normalization with the following accuracies. 71.4%, 73.5%, 80.6%, and 81.2% accuracies are obtained for Logistic regression, K-Nearest Neighbor, Decision Tree, and Random Forest, respectively. © 2023 IEEE.
