Cooperative co-evolutionary algorithms (CCEAs) have witnessed giant success in solving large-scale optimization problems (LSOPs). However, most existing CCEAs use low-dimensional EAs to optimize the decomposed sub-problems. Such utilization of low-dimensional EAs may limit the effectiveness of CCEAs because some of the decomposed sub-problems may still be high-dimensional. Since there exist many non-decomposition based large-scale EAs, it is interesting to investigate the optimization effectiveness of CCEAs by using these non-decomposition based large-scale EAs to solve the decomposed sub-problems. To this end, this paper incorporates two state-of-the-art large-scale swarm optimizers into CCEAs with five state-of-the-art decomposition strategies to solve LSOPs. Experiments conducted on the CEC'2010 and CEC'2013 LSOP benchmark sets have shown that the two large-scale swarm optimizers help CCEAs with the five decomposition strategies achieve much better performance than the most widely used low-dimensional EA.

This paper proposes a stochastic dominant cognitive experience-guided learning framework for particle swarm optimization (SDCEGPSO) to enhance its search ability in complex environment. Specifically, different from classical PSOs, SDCEGPSO randomly selects dominant cognitive experiences to guide the learning of particles. To this end, the cognitive experiences of all particles, namely their personal best positions, are sorted from the best to the worst. Then, each particle randomly chooses a personal best position better than its own to learn. For the cognitive experience selection, this paper designs three selection methods, namely the random selection, the roulette wheel selection, and the tournament selection. With this learning framework, particles have diverse guiding exemplars to learn from and thus high search diversity is expectedly maintained. Experiments conducted on the 50-D and 100-D CEC2014 problem suite have verified the effectiveness of SDCEGPSO. Compared with the classical global PSO (GPSO) and local PSO (LPSO), SDCEGPSO with the three selection schemes achieve significantly better performance. Besides, among the three selection schemes, the binary tournament selection is the most effective one to help SDCEGPSO solve optimization problems.

High quality 3D reconstruction of HDR object can be achieved by projecting extra fringe patterns with different intensity. However, it requires the object to be kept static. The object motion not only introduces phase shift among the fringe patterns, but also changes the position of the overexposure pixels. This paper proposes a new method to reconstruct the moving HDR object by utilizing the features of motion. For the specific point on the object, overexposure will not happen among all the fringe patterns as the overexposure position is changed with the motion. The unsaturation fringe patterns are selected from the captured fringe patterns and the correct phase information is retrieved based on unequal phase shift algorithm. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have obtained remarkable performance via deep architectures. However, these CNNs often achieve poor robustness for image superresolution (SR) under complex scenes. In this paper, we present a heterogeneous group SR CNN (HGSRCNN) via leveraging structure information of different types to obtain a high-quality image. Specifically, each heterogeneous group block (HGB) of HGSRCNN uses a heterogeneous architecture containing a symmetric group convolutional block and a complementary convolutional block in a parallel way to enhance internal and external relations of different channels for facilitating richer low-frequency structure information of different types. To prevent appearance of obtained redundant features, a refinement block with signal enhancements in a serial way is designed to filter useless information. To prevent loss of original information, a multi-level enhancement mechanism guides a CNN to achieve a symmetric architecture for promoting expressive ability of HGSRCNN. Besides, a parallel up-sampling mechanism is developed to train a blind SR model. Extensive experiments illustrate that the proposed HGSRCNN has obtained excellent SR performance in terms of both quantitative and qualitative analysis. Brain tumor segmentation (BTS) in magnetic resonance image (MRI) is crucial for brain tumor diagnosis, cancer management and research purposes. With the great success of the ten-year BraTS challenges as well as the advances of CNN and Transformer algorithms, a lot of outstanding BTS models have been proposed to tackle the difficulties of BTS in different technical aspects. However, existing studies hardly consider how to fuse the multi-modality images in a reasonable manner. In this paper, we leverage the clinical knowledge of how radiologists diagnose brain tumors from multiple MRI modalities and propose a clinical knowledge-driven brain tumor segmentation model, called CKD-TransBTS. Instead of directly concatenating all the modalities, we re-organize the input modalities by separating them into two groups according to the imaging principle of MRI. A dual-branch hybrid encoder with the proposed modality-correlated cross-attention block (MCCA) is designed to extract the multi-modality image features. The proposed model inherits the strengths from both Transformer and CNN with the local feature representation ability for precise lesion boundaries and long-range feature extraction for 3D volumetric images. To bridge the gap between Transformer and CNN features, we propose a Trans&CNN Feature Calibration block (TCFC) in the decoder. We compare the proposed model with five CNN-based models and six transformer-based models on the BraTS 2021 challenge dataset. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed model achieves state-of-the-art brain tumor segmentation performance compared with all the competitors. © 2022, CC BY.

Data storage presents substantial issues due to concerns about data security and privacy. In this study, we provide a search-based, interoperable, verified public key cryptography system. The searchability is significantly improved by our recommended method, which allows the cloud servers to create invert crypto indexes while needing a query trap and leveraging asymmetric cryptography developed by van Vries, Miller, Showing different, and Vaikuntanathan. Contrarily, the recommended method offers a brand-new permitted dataset built on the inversion decryption scheme and shows how it may be used to evaluate the thoroughness and correctness of serps. Additionally, using the provided method, many users may do encrypted searches on cryptography. Finally, it is shown that the offered technique is secure utilizing the approximate-GCD problem. The experiment's results showed that the proposed technique had less computational complexity than the methods currently in use.

The development of digital stethoscopes and automatic respiratory sound algorithms is crucial for accelerating diagnosis, reducing physician workload, and lowering mortality rates from respiratory diseases. However, transmitting data from digital stethoscopes to cloud or other storage devices require substantial storage and transmission capacities, especially for wearable devices used for long-term monitoring. Besides, current automatic algorithms often predict labels for segmented sound events, lacking precision in detecting the onsets and offsets of respiratory sound events. To address these challenges, we organized a grand challenge inviting the community to develop data compression and event detection algorithms to reduce the storage and transmission burden and event segmentation workload. Speaker extraction aims to extract the target speech signal from a multi-talker environment given a target speaker's reference speech. We recently proposed a time-domain solution, SpEx, that avoids the phase estimation in frequency-domain approaches. Unfortunately, SpEx is not fully a time-domain solution since it performs time-domain speech encoding for speaker extraction, while taking frequency-domain speaker embedding as the reference. The size of the analysis window for time-domain and the size for frequency-domain input are also different. Such mismatch has an adverse effect on the system performance. To eliminate such mismatch, we propose a complete time-domain speaker extraction solution, that is called SpEx+. Specifically, we tie the weights of two identical speech encoder networks, one for the encoder-extractor-decoder pipeline, another as part of the speaker encoder. Experiments show that the SpEx+ achieves 0.8dB and 2.1dB SDR improvement over the state-of-the-art SpEx baseline, under different and same gender conditions on WSJ0-2mix-extr database respectively. Recommender System for Telecom Packages Based on the Deep & Cross Network

With the evolution of 5G technology, the telecom industry has influenced the livelihood of people and impacted the development of the national economy significantly. To increase revenue per customer and secure long-term contracts of users, telecommunications firms and enterprises have launched different types of telecom packages to satisfy the varying requirements of users. Although several recommender systems have been proposed in recent years for telecommunication package recommendation, extracting effective feature information from large and complex consumption data remains challenging. Considering the telecom package recommendation problems, traditional recommendation methods either use complex expert feature engineering or fail to perform end-to-end deep learning training. In this study, a recommender system based on deep & cross network (DCN), deep belief network (DBN), Embedding, and Word2Vec is proposed using the powerful learning abilities of deep learning. The proposed system fits the telecom package recommender system in terms of click-through rate prediction to provide a potential solution for the recommendation challenges faced by telecom enterprises. The proposed model can effectively capture the finite order interactional features and deep hidden features. Additionally, the text information in the data is completely used to further improve the recommendation ability of the model. Moreover, the proposed method does not require feature engineering. We conducted comprehensive experiments using real-world datasets, and the results verify that our method can generate improved recommendation accuracy in comparison with those observed in DBN, DCN, deep factorization machine, and deep neural network models individually. © 2021, CC BY.
