Human blood is an inevitable component of human body for the sustaining life. Availability of safe blood on demand is a big medical concern in all developing countries including India. Supply of adequate blood could be achieved through timely blood donation camps, where voluntary donors can donate blood. In India, organizations of blood donation camp are formidably less than the requirements and are not organized in a systematic way. It implies the necessity to manage blood donation camp in a coordinated way to ensure the continuous supply of blood. This paper proposes an integrated Blood Donation Camp Management System which is a web based application with mobile compatibility designed to manage Blood Donation Campaign dynamically in an effective way with AADHAAR integration. In this research work an automated system is designed to identify different user entities involved along with other activities that are performed. The system architecture along with data model and database schema has been discussed. Historical data that will be collected through this system can be used for analytical processing to make future camping decision. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2019.

Adaptive feature selection with weighted fuzzy rough sets for noisy data

The existence of noise in data may decrease the performance of the classification model. An intuitive assumption suggests that samples with a higher local density have a greater probability of being correctly classified. Moreover, there are differences in the importance of features. It should further increase the influence of important features on the classification task. Motivated by these issues, we propose a sample-driven adaptive feature selection method. It aims to the impact of noise and obtain the adaptive importance of features. In this paper, the Weighted Fuzzy Rough Sets model (WFRS) is proposed by utilizing more reliable samples to address noisy data. Firstly, the approximation margin is derived by applying the WFRS model within the original feature space from the sample's perspective. It serves as a basis for deriving the feature weights. On this basis, the weighted feature space is obtained. This space compresses the features with the lower weight and stretches the features with higher weight. Then, we obtain a specific fuzzy relation to maximize the within-class samples and minimize the between-class samples in the weighted feature space. Further, an evaluation function of features is constructed to model the uncertainty of fuzzy positive and non-negative regions. A Sample-driven adaptive Feature selection algorithm based on the Weighted fuzzy rough sets model (SFW) is designed to capture the varying importance of features by considering the local density of samples. The weighted features are subsequently selected to facilitate the downstream classification tasks. Experimental results show the WFRS model's robustness, the effectiveness of SFW, and its superiority compared to alternative methods.

Multi-stage Speaker Extraction with Utterance and Frame-Level Reference Signals

Speaker extraction requires a sample speech from the target speaker as the reference. However, enrolling a speaker with a long speech is not practical. We propose a speaker extraction technique, that performs in multiple stages to take full advantage of short reference speech sample. The extracted speech in early stages is used as the reference speech for late stages. For the first time, we use frame-level sequential speech embedding as the reference for target speaker. This is a departure from the traditional utterance-based speaker embedding reference. In addition, a signal fusion scheme is proposed to combine the decoded signals in multiple scales with automatically learned weights. Experiments on WSJ0-2mix and its noisy versions (WHAM! and WHAMR!) show that SpEx++ consistently outperforms other state-of-the-art baselines. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

R2-Net: Relation of relation learning network for sentence semantic matching

Sentence semantic matching is one of the fundamental tasks in natural language processing, which requires an agent to determine the semantic relation among input sentences. Recently, deep neural networks have achieved impressive performance in this area, especially BERT. Despite their effectiveness, most of these models treat output labels as meaningless one-hot vectors, underestimating the semantic information and guidance of relations that these labels reveal, especially for tasks with a small number of labels. To address this problem, we propose a Relation of Relation Learning Network (R2-Net) for sentence semantic matching. Specifically, we first employ BERT to encode the input sentences from a global perspective. Then a CNN-based encoder is designed to capture keywords and phrase information from a local perspective. To fully leverage labels for better relation information extraction, we introduce a self-supervised relation of relation classification task for guiding R2-Net to consider more about relations. Meanwhile, a triplet loss is employed to distinguish the intra-class and inter-class relations in a finer granularity. Empirical experiments on two sentence semantic matching tasks demonstrate the superiority of our proposed model. The collection, editing and processing of all kinds of equipment data is the core of all kinds of weapon equipment integrated support information system. Traditional information processing systems are less scalable, stable, and reliable. This paper proposes an XML Schema based information processing system, which stores the result into XML format which is produced by processing the collected data. Firstly, the system is designed with loosely coupled design mode, which is divided into model transformation module, configuration file generation module, data editing module and data validation module. Secondly, the functions of each module of the system are defined in detail. Finally, each functional module is implemented to obtain an XML Schema information system. The verification results of the system show that the system can process various types of equipment data, and is available, reliable and stable.

Superconducting materials have been extensively studied for various applications, with YBCO alloys among the most researched and widely applied. This paper investigates the feasibility of using YBCO powder-based inks to produce cost-effective films with magnetic properties. Our studies demonstrate that levitation in liquid nitrogen is consistently observed in all fabricated films, regardless of ink composition or application method. Both drop-casting and spray-coating techniques were successfully employed to create levitating films. Additionally, various substrates—including aluminum foil (with and without adhesive), plastic foil, Teflon, and paper—were evaluated, with no significant impact on levitation performance. The levitation height was also compared to samples without a substrate. Depending on the binder, the resulting films exhibit rigidity or flexibility while maintaining their levitation capabilities even after multiple bending cycles. However, film conductivity is influenced by the binder type and concentration, which also affects the critical current density. A film with a thickness of 300 μm demonstrated a Jc of 2 kA/cm² at 65 K and zero magnetic field.

As extremely large-scale (XL) arrays advance, near-field (NF) communications have gained significant *** this shift, traditional far-field techniques are being revised for compatibility with new XL NF communication paradigms. This work presents NF hybrid beamforming (NF-HBF) approaches for XL-MIMO, focusing on challenges like near-field effects and spatial non-stationarity. First, it redefines the sparse recovery-based NF-HBF problem, shifting from angular- to polar-domain code-books, leading to direct greedy hybrid beamforming (DG-HBF). However, challenges such as high computational complexity, phase shifter (PS) resolution, and spatial non-stationarities persist. To overcome these, this study proposes stepwise-individual and stepwise-joint greedy HBF methods, namely SIG-HBF and SJG-HBF. These methods simplify the process by approximating spherical-wave beams with planar-wave beams, promising lower PS resolution needs, reduced complexity, and the ability to tackle spatially non-stationary channels. Moreover, by exploring conjugate symmetric sequency-ordered Hadamard transforms, NF-HBF can be efficiently achieved using 2-bit PSs with values in {1,−1, j,−j}, facilitated by the SJG-HBF and SJG-HBF methods. Numerical simulations on the proposed methods demonstrate that DG-HBF can approach NF fully-digital beamforming, while SIG-HBF and SJG-HBF highlight the feasibility of utilizing angular-domain codebooks with low PS cost and low memory storage for NF-HBF. © 2002-2012 IEEE.
