Deep neural networks have been proven to be a promising way for hyperspectral image (HSI) classification. Their success depends on a premise that source domain (i.e., training) and target domain (i.e., test) samples are identically distributed. However, due to various imaging environments, in practice obvious distribution discrepancy often exists between these two domains, which can dramatically reduce the capacity of the classifier trained in source domain generalizing to target domain. To mitigate this problem, we present a novel deep unsupervised domain adaptation framework for HSI classification, which can simultaneously align the distributions of two domains and learn a classifier in source domain. Firstly, we employ two auto-encoder networks to separately project the samples from two domains into two low-dimensional feature spaces. Then, a multi-level maximum mean discrepancy (MMD) loss is imposed on the feature space to reduce the distribution discrepancy between two domains. Given the resultant features, a classification subnet is further learned to classify the labeled samples in source domain. Since the classifier is trained based on the domain-invariant features, it can well generalize to the target domain. Experimental results on one benchmark cross-domain HSI datasets prove the superior performance of the proposed method.

Currently, the growth of information and technology is rapid. It makes a lot of things in various fields including education becoming more effective and efficient. In education, one of its implementation which is a game is proven to be a useful tool to support conventional teaching methods and bring a more natural understanding of learning materials. Moreover, as a product of the popular culture in modern society, video game mirrors the general culture practice in real life and reflects it via its own culture inside the game. This makes a video game can give a contribution to the social construction of reality as it affects the player's view towards learning in real life and vice versa. From there, we see that there is an opportunity for learning about religion to be supported by its utilization to provide an interactive and fun learning experience. In this paper, we discuss how a video game is implemented to support religious learning. The game was developed with the scrum method where we surveyed to gather the user requirements before the design step. The game design was made by using the use case diagram and storyboard, and it was built using Unity version 2017.3.0f3.

Data mining and data analysis based on POI data of urban service industry has gradually become the research trend of urban spatial layout. In the present study, many scholars use different research methods to analyze the agglomeration characteristics and development trend of urban service industry from multiple perspectives. This article combines POI data analysis methods and application fields to summarize the relevant research of urban service industry POI data analysis and application and summarizes the representative research methods of POI data analysis, and compares the characteristics of each method, and then the development trend of POI data mining, analysis and application in urban service industry is prospected.

Comparison of Time Series Forecasting Based on Statistical ARIMA Model and LSTM with Attention Mechanism

Time series Forecasting (TSF) has been a research hotspot and widely applied in many areas such as financial, bioinformatics, social sciences and engineering. This article aimed at comparing the forecasting performances using the traditional Auto-Regressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model with the deep neural network model of Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) with attention mechanism which achieved great success in sequence modelling. We first briefly introduced the basics of ARIMA and LSTM with attention models, summarized the general steps of constructing the ARIMA model for the TSF task. We obtained the dataset from Kaggle competition web traffic and modelled them as TSF problem. Then the LSTM with attention mechanism model was proposed to the TSF. Finally forecasting performance comparisons were conducted using the same dataset under different evaluation metrics. Both models achieved comparable results with the up-to-date methods and LSTM slightly outperformed the classical counterpart in TSF task.

Web Browser Extensions (which are often called add-ons or plugins) are code snippets which allow web developers to add functionalities to the web browser. Extensions can change the browsing experience of end users in different ways, such as by modifying user interfaces, providing utility services, and managing users’ important information in an efficient way. But the web browsers come with their own disadvantages. Some of the malicious things that a web browser can do are displaying unwanted ads, track the browsing, capturing passwords and private data. There is no option for a common user to get around these problems. For example, capturing the password is essential for some of the web browser to function. Many web browsers extension cannot work at all without the ability to transform the webpage. In this paper, we are going to compare various web browsers in terms of their extension security. © 2018, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this paper, we use the symbolic computation method to prove the famous Mordell inequality conjecture. By eliminating the constraints using the normalized condition, this problem can be transformed into the non-constraints *** the case of n = 3, we verified that this inequality is correct by cylindrical algebraic decomposition;meanwhile, for the case of n = 4, we verify the inequality is also valid for many cases by using the successive difference substitution method.

Traffic congestion is one of the major problems in most of the cities across the globe and it leads to several other problems like pollution, time wastage, long traffic queues on roads and may cause accidents. Improvement of Road infrastructure is not always the feasible solution to resolve the problem. In real life scenario shorter distance route towards the destination attracts majority of people and at times it may aggravate traffic jam conditions. Therefore, a real time traffic information for intelligent decision making to decide the route preference is required. Moreover, a system which considers the factor of distance towards the destination along with real time traffic situation on that route will add to the solution to the congestion problem. certain parameters such as distance, weather condition, road location, day of week and time are considered to formulate the problem and to find solutions to these problems This paper outlines a combination of logistic regression with fuzzy logic such that a smart decision to preferred path can be taken. It is used to compute the probability of each possible path by considering the real time traffic information, distance and road condition and later is used to take decisions in an uncertain scenario. Proposed Method considers the number of parameters like distance, weather condition, road location, day of week and time.

In quasi-optical system, the distortion and cross polarization caused by off-axis mirrors should be paid attention to seriously. In this paper, we improve a Gaussian beam modes analysis (GBMA) originally described in [1] to apply in a more common situation, an offset mirror illuminated by any feed with position displacement. Here, we provide a number of significant expressions of the theory and validate this technique with two examples of off-axis conic surface mirrors. In order to verify the accuracy of this method, we compare the results from this approach and the physical optics (PO) in commercial software GRASP10 including the amplitude and phase in co-polarization and cross-polarization.

Preflare very long-periodic pulsations observed in Hα emission before the onset of a solar flare

Context. Very long-periodic pulsations during preflare phases (preflare-VLPs) have been detected in the full-disk solar soft X-Ray (SXR) flux (see Tan et al. 2016). They may be regarded as precursors to solar flares and may help us better understand the trigger mechanism of solar flares. Aims. In this letter, we report a preflare-VLP event prior to the onset of an M1.1 circular-ribbon flare on 2015 October 16. It was simultaneously observed in Hα, SXR, and extreme ultraviolet (EUV) wavelengths. Methods. The SXR fluxes in 1−8 Å and 1−70 Å were recorded by the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) and Extreme Ultraviolet Variability Experiment (EVE), respectively;the light curves in Hα and EUV 211 Å were integrated over a small local region, which were measured by the 1m New Vacuum Solar Telescope (NVST) and the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA), respectively. The preflare-VLP is identified as the repeat and quasi-periodic pulses in light curves during preflare phase. The quasi-periodicity can be determined from the Fourier power spectrum with Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC)-based Bayesian (e.g., Liang et al. 2020). Results. Seven well-developed pulses are found before the onset of an M1.1 circular-ribbon flare. They are firstly seen in the local light curve in Hα emission and then discovered in full-disk SXR fluxes in GOES 1−8 Å and ESP 1−70 Å, as well as the local light curve in AIA 211 Å. These well-developed pulses can be regarded as the preflare-VLP, which might be modulated by LRC-circuit oscillation in the current-carrying plasma loop. The quasi-period is estimated to be ∼9.3 minutes. Conclusions. We present the first report of a preflare-VLP event in the local Hα line and EUV wavelength, which could be considered a precursor of a solar flare. This finding should therefore prove useful for the prediction of solar flares, especially for powerful flares. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

An accurate road surface friction prediction algorithm can enable intelligent transportation systems to share timely road surface condition to the public for increasing the safety of the road users. Previously, scholars developed multiple prediction models for forecasting road surface conditions using historical data. However, road surface condition data cannot be perfectly collected at every time stamp, e.g. the data collected by on-vehicle sensors may be influenced when vehicles cannot travel due to economic cost issue or weather issues. Such resulted missing values in the collected data can damage the effectiveness and accuracy of the existing prediction methods since they are assumed to have the input data with a fixed temporal resolution. This study proposed a road surface friction prediction model employing a Gated Recurrent Unit network-based decay mechanism (GRU-D) to handle the missing values. The evaluation results present that the proposed GRU-D networks outperform all baseline models. The impact of missing rate on predictive accuracy, learning efficiency and learned decay rate are analyzed as well. The findings can help improve the prediction accuracy and efficiency of forecasting road surface friction using historical data sets with missing values, therefore mitigating the impact of wet or icy road condition on traffic safety.
