Device-Free Localization (DFL) method based on wireless signal fingerprint is a mainstream indoor location method at present. The main concerns in this field are location accuracy and complexity of computing, while the problem of privacy protection is easily neglected. Since the leakage of wireless signal data is likely leading to the leakage of location information, this paper proposes a privacy-preserving Channel State Information(CSI) fingerprint device-free localization method based on federated learning(PPDFL). Through federated learning, each client trains a local model using the collected local data and then transmits the trained parameters to the server. The server consolidates these parameters and then distributes the resulting parameters to each client for local model’s updating. After several rounds of training and updating, each client ends up with a fully trained model. Compared with the existing DFL methods, this method would not share the data of each client, and only transmits model parameters between server and client, thus achieving the effect of privacy protection. Several experiments are performed to prove the effectiveness of the proposed PPDFL. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Researchers have developed a range of methods and strategies to decrease wireless sensor network energy consumption. Mote clustering is one of the competent topological control approaches to boost the networks' energy efficiency, scalability, and performance. Energy is dissipated during the cluster creation, cluster head selection, routing from the head and base stations of the cluster, and data aggregation - clustering and routing emphasis on the stability and the longevity of the network. This research work provides the optimization technique for the wireless sensor network to optimize the energy through NN-LEACH. The main goal is to extend network life and reduce power consumption by clustering and routing sensor nodes using the two-step NN-LEACH protocol, which is suggested. An additional goal might be to establish the appropriate course of action for the suggested approach for this network. © 2023 Avinash Bhagat et al.

Multimodal networks that juxtapose visual and linguistic modalities are currently widely adopted for solving vision-and-language tasks. They perform well in simple and intu-itive tasks, but are prone to mistakes in tasks involving latent or implicit details, due to the difficulty of capturing crucial but imperceptible visual signals in the real world. Perception errors lead to nonsensical results, but can be corrected by commonsense knowledge. To this end, we combine visual perception and linguistic commonsense to solve the challenging daily events causality reasoning task. We propose a novel Object-Aware Reasoning Network to focus on object inter-action while ignoring distracting information to refine visual perception. Further, a language branch with an independent prediction head is supervised to learn causality commonsense to help correct obvious perception errors, resulting in more plausible conclusions. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method achieves new state-of-the-art results on Vis-Causal dataset. © 2022 IEEE.

The sensitive structures of certain devices containing micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) must be directly exposed to the working environment, making them vulnerable to contamination by dust and other pollutants in that environment. Consequently, this contamination degrades the performance of the device, impacting both its working life and stability. Existing test methods, such as GB/T 4208-2017 and GB/T 2423.37-2006, are not entirely suitable for evaluating the sand and dust contamination test of these MEMS devices. To address these issues, a thermistor-based test structure was designed and processed to develop an evaluation method suitable for testing the sand and dust contamination sensitive MEMS structures. The test results indicate that, unlike other hermetically sealed electronic devices, the imposition of electrical stress and cycling of the operating voltage "on-off" during the test does not increase dust accumulation. Furthermore, due to sand and dust contamination, the thermistor value of the device drifts during operation. This drift primarily arises from increased thermal resistance between the heating element of the device and the surrounding environment, resulting from the accumulation of sand and dust, which results in the increase of temperature of the heating element and ultimately results in an elevated thermistor value. This study can provide support for the structural design and package design of MEMS sensitive structures, and provide a basis for the identification and inspection of related products and the development of detailed specifications. © 2023 IEEE.

Considering the fact that the test case runs abnormally and the test case execution fails during the development and debugging of the 5G terminal protocol conformance test system. Here useful approach is implemented by embedding data copy and storage module in the system, which completes the encapsulation, copy and storage of massive data generated during the operation of the system, so that equipment developers can correctly locate the errors in the system according to the data, and repair the system loopholes to ensure the stability and accuracy of the system.

A comprehensive review of quantitative and qualitative analysis of the human upper airway regions was performed. The human upper airway is divided into the airway region and paranasal sinuses. These structures are important for breathing and speaking activities. The quantitative and qualitative analysis of the human upper airway helps to understand the structures, sizes, and behaviors, and to develop a patient-specific treatment. This review provides various volumes and includes the factors which are affecting the sizes, shapes, or structure of the regions of the human upper airway with different imaging techniques. Frequent modifications in the software leads to the issues in the code which deteriorates software quality. The suitable approach to rectify it is to refactor it. Consequently, this research devises a ranking using the MCDM approach for prioritizing Python-based code smells. This order ranking has been studied over 10,552 classes for five generic code smells diffused in 20 Python software. The software metrics extracted over these python classes have been considered as multiple criteria which are processed using rule-based machine learning approach. In this study, an approach providing compromised solution—VIKOR have been practiced along with TOPSIS and WASPAS methods. Additionally, the MCDM approaches have utilized Shannon’s Entropy and CRITIC method as weight estimation techniques. The extracted vital software metrics achieved over 90% accuracy. The prominent outcome portrays that the most dominant smell is Collapsible "IF" which needs to be refactored at the early stage. This should be accompanied by Cognitive Complexity smell so as to attain sustainable development environment. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

ASD is a developmental disorder in the neurological category and has numerous and diverse symptoms. Diagnosis is still problematic because symptoms of parkinsonism are diverse, and the dimensionality of the neuroimaging data is high. This paper presents a combination of CNN and RNN for classifying the ASD by analyzing multimodal neuroimaging data such as fMRI data, MRI data, and DTI data. The CNN component analyzes spatial characteristics of the neuroimaging data, and the RNN learns temporal patterns in fMRI series. Enhancements include a novel preprocessing step called 3D Brain Region Alignment (3D-BRA) as well as the 3D version of Adaptive Temporal, minimizing dimensionality through an innovative feature selection technique employing EN-CC. Predictive analysis with the hybrid model utilizes standard benchmark datasets such as ABIDE I, ABIDE II, HCP, and SFARI and records classification performances over 95 percentage. To enhance the interpretability of the model, the Grad-CAM algorithm is used, which marks specific regions of the brain important in the context of ASD. The proposed framework seems to possess considerable feasibility for enhancing the diagnosis of ASD and improving the understanding of its neural substrates, making the developed method highly advantageous for applications in neuroinformatics and clinical utility. © 2025 IEEE.

The recycling industry is crucial to environmental protection and resource conservation. Glass recycling has great sustainability potential, but quality assurance and contaminant reduction are major challenges. Integrating the Internet of Things (IoT) with the Random Forest algorithm, this work offers a new solution to these difficulties. IoT devices are used in glass recycling collection, transportation, sorting, and processing. These devices measure glass quality, contaminants, temperature, humidity, and other parameters in real-time. Data is sent to a central system for analysis and decision-making. Random Forest, a machine learning method that handles complicated, multidimensional datasets, powers the system. This algorithm learns from past data and updates with real-time data. It detects contaminants, foreign elements, and faults in recycled glass. This permits fast remedial action, enhancing recycled glass quality and decreasing contamination. application of this mechanism yields two outputs. First, it improves glass recycling efficiency and produces high-quality glass for remanufacturing. Second, it significantly minimizes the environmental and economic implications of contamination and low-quality glass, which may limit recycling yields and increase waste disposal. In comparison to traditional approaches, the proposed approach that utilizes the IoT and the Random Forest algorithm reduces contamination and ensures the quality of glass recycling by 30%. © 2024 IEEE.
