Vehicle Edge Computing (VEC) is the deployment of applications close to edge servers to provide low latency and highly responsive services to users. However, due to the complexity and dynamics of the VEC environment, it is prone to errors and failures, and the reliability of edge service migration may be compromised if no measures are taken to cope with different levels of failures. To address this issue, this paper proposes an modified (m, n)-fault tolerance strategy (M-MNFT). Unlike the traditional one, which only considers ES failures, M-MNFT additionally selects redundant edge base stations to ensure task reliability during task migration, and takes into account the fact that the relative distance between the request and the base station is as small as possible when the request is sent, so as to avoid the impact of the edge base station failure on the Quality of Service (QoS) during task migration. In addition, we have performed extensive simulations to show that M-MNFT outperforms existing methods in terms of the number of delayed requests, on-time finish rate, and average waiting time.

A significant increase in heterogeneous distributed computing has allowed for significant advancements in cyber physical systems (CPS). An additional strategy for enhancing system sustainability is to combine CPS with heterogeneous cloud computing. However, there are still certain difficulties with resource management in cloud systems, such as work allocation in heterogeneous clouds and Web server capacity limitations. Service delays are frequently caused by the erratic demand for services, which is embarrassing for the businesses' ability to compete. This article tackles the NP-hard problem of job assignment in heterogeneous clouds, which has been shown. The suggested method is known as the Smart Cloud-based Optimizing Workload (SCOW) Model, which assigns jobs to heterogeneous clouds using forecast cloud capacity and sustainable parameters. We provide a few strategies, such as the Workload Resource Minimization (WRM), Smart Task Assignment (STA), and Task Mapping Algorithm, to achieve the optimization target (TMA). Our experimental analyses have looked at how well the suggested strategy performs.

Diabetic retinopathy is considered as an eye disorder condition that can affect persons who are diagnosed positive against diabetes. This condition causes damage to the retina's blood vessels. Diabetic retinopathy detection at an early stage may help patients protect their vision. This disease is often asymptomatic in the early stages but has a significant impact in the latter stages. The timely identification and intervention of diabetic retinopathy (DR) can greatly mitigate the potential for visual impairment. It takes time, effort, and money for ophthalmologists to manually diagnose DR retina fundus images. So there is a need for a screening system that can detect the disease in its early stages. There are various machine learning-based approaches available to detect diabetic retinopathy. In our proposed work first, we have to select the optimal features then we perform the comparative analysis with the help of various machine learning algorithms. We have used Random Forest, Logistic Regression, Gradient Boosting, Support Vector Machine (SVM), Naïve Bayes, and AdaBoost. In our experiment, we observed that Logistic Regression achieved the highest accuracy of 74.2 with optimal features.

In this article, we investigate how to build an intelligent network unit over a wireless network. To do so, we make use of a resilient routing strategy made available by the Protocol for power (RPL), the definition of which is currently being considered. Our architecture is based on a simple binary web service execution of the RE presentational State Transfer (REST) paradigm and an executing strategy in which every node makes a collection of components (such as atmospheric sensors) available to parties who are concerned with them. We present an evaluation of RPL by means of an experimental inquiry, with the focus being on how well it creates the routing structure to highlight how the efficiency of routing is influenced by the fundamental properties of RPL.

The precise classification of human activities through sensor data collection and analysis addresses the broad demands in healthcare, security surveillance, and smart home applications amidst the rapid development of IoT technology. However, achieving high efficiency and accuracy remains a significant challenge for HAR algorithms. This paper proposes a HAR algorithm based on Transformer and Random Forest (Transformer-RF). The algorithm extracts and integrates multimodal features in the time domain, frequency domain, and statistical metrics, constructing one-dimensional and two-dimensional feature sets through feature transformation. The Transformer component, leveraging self-attention mechanisms, captures long-range dependencies and extracts global contextual information. Concurrently, the Random Forest component randomly selects features and samples, enhancing model diversity and improving complex human activity recognization capabilities. Experimental results demonstrate that compared with state-of-the-art algorithms, the Transformer-RF model achieves superior performance on both one-dimensional and two-dimensional feature sets, with an accuracy of up to 94.17%. The primary contribution of this paper lies in the introduction of an innovative Transformer-RF human activity recognization method, which not only ensures high accuracy but also exhibits excellent generalization capability and practical application potential. This study provides new insights and technical solutions for the field of human activity recognization, offering significant theoretical and practical value. © 2024 IEEE.

Cloud storage is an emerging archetype used by businesses for data storage. Clients require easy access to data in the cloud, which helps clients with limited computing power move their high-value, high-risk principle jobs to the cloud. The primary concern of this study is towards flawless verifying, checking data bundles, and determining modules to carry out the project. As discussed at several research platforms, each client is concerned about data storage and retrieval. Data security is critical in cloud computing, and thus monitoring has evolved into a vigilance that abstracts the monitoring process. Request made by clients for security planning is always computationally exclusive. As a result, each customer is concerned as to their verified condition. This paper will highlight a secure cloud communication method for client data to address the afore-mentioned issues. Synchronization creates secret hare keys, combined with a model-encrypted data packet sent to the cloud. These secure data are then sent over a public network, subject to monitoring to avert data leakage to an unauthorized party. They lack the cohesion to outsource data storage to the cloud deliberately. As an outcome of this model's distribution, the perception of authorized data owners would be changed regarding cloud storage up to 97.6%, addressing the trust issues between data owners and cloud ace affiliations © 2023, Human-centric Computing and Information *** Rights Reserved.

In mobile systems, memory can be compressed page-by-page to save space. This approach is widely adopted because memory data is accessed by page. However, this paper shows that the system response speed is significantly limited by page-grained compression. In this paper, we observe that approximately a quarter of anonymous memory pages are highly correlated, even though the association is implicit. Inspired by this, we propose Archer, an association-rule-aware memory compression framework in mobile systems. Archer demonstrates that memory in mobile devices should be compressed using flexible granularity, rather than relying solely on traditional page compression. To further integrate associationrule mining techniques into system design, we redesign the LRU mechanism and propose an adaptive memory compression region. Experimental results show that the average app launching speed is 1.55x faster when enabling Archer, and the average photographic speed and frame rate increase by 1.42x and 1.31x, respectively, compared to the state-of-the-art.

There is an increasing demand of effective pipeline which can store all the upcoming information required as well as optimize the secure assignment in the privileged network as distributed energy resources (DERs) become more prevalent. The virtual reality twinning becomes novel idea that has the potential to open up a plethora of new possibilities for power systems. It can be applied at many levels of regulations as well as guarantee in power systems. The study presents some techniques regarding modeling in the accomplishment of power, which can use to a variety of different applications in the future. Two different types of DTs are developed to address the needs of higher bit rate and lower bit rate operations which require centralized conclusions oversight. Drop box is used as a cloud host for the validation and testing of the digital twin idea. Drop box is a storage medium which includes both cyber and physical twin models. Because of some interconnected networks as well as different storage facilities through drives and cloud technologies, the experimental findings show that online establishment through twinning is feasible. With regard to the low-bandwidth DT scenario, the normalized mean-square error was just 3.71 percent. Specifically, related to instance of a higher bit ratetwinning, so suggested approach demonstrated higher performance when it came to reconstructing voltage estimations, approximately 98 percent accuracy when just the controller's states were used. © 2022 IEEE.

Existing research on speaker and emotional voice conversion often focuses on separate tasks, neglecting their joint exploration. Furthermore, the limited availability of emotional corpora for target speakers poses a significant challenge for training robustness and generalized models. This paper proposes an improved scheme for speaker-emotion voice conversion with limited target speaker's emotional corpus, integrating a large language model and a pre-trained emotional speech synthesis model. It introduces several enhancements to enhance the quality of converted speech in terms of speaker similarity and emotional expressiveness. First, emotionally tagged text is generated using a large language model and emotional speech is synthesized from this text using a fine-tuned pre-trained emotional speech synthesis model. Then, a speaker-emotion voice conversion model is co-trained with both synthesized and real target emotional speech. Finally, the model is fine-tuned with the real target emotional speech to further boost the speaker and emotional similarity.
