She is a recipient of the coveted Chevening Rolls-Royce Science and Innovation Leadership Programme and NTSE Scholarship. She is an electrical engineer from IIT-BHU Varanasi and Masters in International Business from IIFT-New Delhi. She obtained her doctorate from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow making seminal contribution in the area of Spare Parts Management. She has worked in the transportation and power industry for 16 years before joining academics. She has published widely internationally in acclaimed journals and case studies. She has been a reviewer for many academic journals. She brings the rich experience of the industry and tough academic rigour to her research. Her current areas of research include service operations operations strategy product service systems humanitarian supply chain and sustainability. 作者: Joseph F. Yurso President Joseph F. Yurso:is currently director of technical development for Q.E.D. Systems Inc. He received a Bachelors of Science in mechanical engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and an Masters of Science in mechanical engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. He also completed a special management program at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to entering the Navy as an engineering duty officer Mr. Yurso was a refrigeration and air conditioning engineer for the Bureau of Ships. His Navy experience includes engineer officer of a combatant ship submarine type desk quality assurance officer and production officer in naval shipyards and planning officer quality assurance officer and deputy supervisor in Supervisor of Shipbuilding offices. His two command tours were as Supervisor of Shipbuilding Groton Connecticut (1980-81) and Shipyard Commander Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Kittery Maine (1981-84). He was awarded the Legion of Merit for both of these tours. Mr. Yurso has been a member of ASNE since 1964. He is a life member and a sustaining member of the Society. He has been active in several Sections including Charleston Northern and Southern New England and Tidewater. He is a former chairman of the Tidewater Section and was the chairman of the ASNE Fleet Maintenance Symposium in 1991. He served as Council vice president from 1993 to 1996 and as a member of Council for six years. He was a contributing author to the Society's first edition of Naval Engineering and American Sea Power. In 1993 he was awarded the Frank G. Law Award for his dedication and longtime service to the Society. Mr. Yurso maintains memberships in other societies including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Sigma Xi the American Society for Quality Control Naval Institute and Tidewater Association of Service Contractors. He has held registered professional engineer status in two states and is listed inWho's Who in Science and Engineering.

He has had tours as a submarine line officer as well as a Program Manager's Assistant for Weapons System Safety Test and Evaluation at NAVSEA PMS-350 before transferring into the ED community. Current studies include dual masters degrees in naval construction and engineering and mechnical engineering from MIT as well as a master of science management of technology (MOT) from the Sloan School of Management MIT. He has an MBA finance and investments from The George Washington University (1996) and a BS general engineering/control systems from the University of Illinios-Urbana (1988). He is a member of both the American Society of Naval Engineers and the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers.

He has directed over 350 programs and projects in his 33 year career and is responsible for overall management of all contract programs within the Corporation. Among these were the Trident II fire control and navigation systems the BSY-I Anti-Submarine Warfare System and the Navy standard computers (UYK44 and EMSP). He served as manager of the Digital Circuits Engineering Branch and was then appointed as manager of the Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) Technology Division. As manager of the ATE Technology Division he was responsible for the SP-23 Fire Control System Support Project the SP-24 Navigation Project and the Fleet Progressive Maintenance Program (2M/ATE). This Division was responsible for selection and application of electronic product technology and for developing fleet test and repair techniques. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Evansville and is currently pursuing a Masters of Public Administration at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Dr. Alfred Skolnick:retired from the Navy in 1983 with the rank of captain. He is president of System Science Consultants (SSC) specializing in strategic planning technical program definition technology assessment and engineering analyses on selected matters of national interest. Dr. Skolnick taught mathematics and management sciences at University of Virginia and Marymount University. He is adjunct faculty at Northern Virginia Community College. From 1985 to 1989 he was president of the American Society of Naval Engineers.
