We developed new nanocrystalline Fe-Co-B-P-Cu soft magnetic alloys and studied their magnetic properties by calculating electronic structures using first-principles calculations based on density functional theory within the local spin density approximation and the Brillouin function. The supercell Fe-B-P-Cu was equilibrated at 3000 K for 12 ps using ab initio molecular dynamics (AIMd). Consequently, Fe, B, P, and Cu atoms are distributed randomly in an amorphous matrix formed by cooling it to 0 K. The ferromagnetic bcc α -(Fe 50 Co 50 ) crystallites were formed in the amorphous matrix by annealing the mixture at 300 K and cooling to 0 K. This resulted in the formation of nanocrystalline (Fe, Co)-B-P-Cu soft magnetic alloys. The ferromagnetic bcc α -Fe(Co) crystallites, embedded in an amorphous matrix, were confirmed experimentally for the first time. The experiment involved quickly cooling and heating a melted mixture of Fe, Co, B, Fe 3 P, and Cu to create both amorphous ribbons and crystallites. The Fe-Co-B-P-Cu alloy designed for the experiment has a saturation magnetization ( μ 0 M S ) of over 1.9 T (T) at 0 K and ranging from 1.87 to 1.92 T at 300 K. The magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant (K) decreased significantly to 142 J/m 3 from 5.2 × 104 J/m 3 with an increase in the number of embedded crystallites from one to five, indicating that the alloy became magnetically soft. At 300 K, the experimental μ 0 M S ranged from 1.79 to 1.89 T. Additionally, as the concentration of Co increased, the Curie temperature (T C ) also increased and reached about 800 °C at 3.5 at.%. The study revealed that the average grain size of the synthesized Fe-Co-B-P-Cu alloys was 29 nm. The experimental μ 0 M S was slightly lower than the calculated value for all designed Fe-Co-B-P-Cu alloys, indicating that the recrystallization process was not entirely controlled. There are many business models for e-books, such as billing by time, billing by the hour, and database authorization. Copyright authorization and pricing methods are also different. How to assist the industry in formulating appropriate authorization and pricing mechanisms under different operating models is the key to the overall development of e-book services in the future. This research will be divided into two parts. The first one will start with the E-book authorization tracking mechanism. The purpose of this research is to solve the current problem of unauthorized and illegal distribution of e-books. The content consists of three parts. The first is privacy protection technology for legitimate users. Even sellers cannot obtain the personal information of legitimate users. The second part is the tracking mechanism for illegally authorized users. When the user performs illegal authorization, the e-book provider can use the tracking mechanism to find the illegal person. The third part is to build an e-book authorization management mechanism for different business models to achieve authorization tracking. The second topic will research the "e-book pricing tracking mechanism." The purpose is to design appropriate securities pricing mechanisms for different operating models. The project’s content is divided into three sub-topics: E-book pricing and tracking mechanism, E-book time-limited pricing management mechanism and building an E-book payment transaction server. The research will understand users’ browsing habits and compare them with industry interests. To develop a win-win pricing system, we will formulate an appropriate charging pricing system for different browsing methods and adopt the system according to the situation. © 2021

Until recently, sorafenib has been the only treatment approved by the U.S. Food and drug Administration for patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Some patients, however, exhibit resistance to this treatment and subsequently experience cancer progression, recurrence, or death. Therefore, identifying a new alternative treatment for patients with little or no response to sorafenib treatment is vital. In this study, we explored the therapeutic potential and underlying molecular mechanism of antrocinol ((3aS,4R,6aS,10aR)-4-(hydroxymethyl)-7,7-dimethyldecahydro-1H-naphtho[1,8a-c]furan-1-one) in patients with HCC. The results indicated that antrocinol was more therapeutically effective than antrocin, Stivarga, and sorafenib against HCC cell lines. Antrocinol also substantially suppressed the expression of KRAS-GTP, p-MEK1/2, p-ERK1/2, and p-AKT in the Huh7 cell line. Additionally, antrocinol-induced apoptosis in the Huh7 cell line, inhibited the formation of tumorspheres, and suppressed the expression of cancer stem cell markers Cd133, KLF4, Cd44, OCT4, SOX2, and c-Myc. Animal studies revealed that antrocinol alone considerably suppressed tumor growth in nonobese diabetic/severe combined immunodeficient mice inoculated with Huh7 tumorspheres. It also synergistically enhanced the anticancer effect of sorafenib, resulting in enhanced suppression of tumor growth (p < 0.001) and tumorsphere formation (p < 0.001). In tumor samples resected from mice treated with antrocinol alone or in combination with sorafenib, immunohistochemical analysis revealed an increase in BAX expression and a decrease in ERK and AKT protein expression. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of the anti-HCC activity of antrocinol. With its higher therapeutic efficacy than that of sorafenib, antrocinol is a candidate drug for patients with HCC who demonstrate little or no response to sorafenib treatment. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.

The objectives of this study were to investigate the biocompatibility and hemostatic efficacy of silk fibroin nanofibrils (SFNFs). Unlike a conventional dialysis/freeze-drying process, SFNFs were prepared using a novel shear-induced phase-separation method. The morphology, particle size distribution, protein secondary structures, and crystalline structures of the resulting SFNFs were respectively investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), laser diffraction (Ld), Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, and x-ray diffraction (XRd) deconvolution analyses. Polar and non-polar extractants of SFNFs under a bath ratio of 0.2 g/mL were collected after individually soaking them into 0.9% normal saline and cottonseed oil. In vitro hemolysis ratios, biocompatibility, and sensitization tests were carried out. Then, the hemostatic efficacy was assayed using a rat liver punch biopsy model. Compared to dialyzed/freeze-dried SF, the harvested SFNFs revealed high surface area in morphology. The median particle size distribution, d50, was 294 μm for SFNFs. Shear-induced hydrogen bonding, crystallization, and phase separation tended to give the SFNFs a high crystalline index (CI) and degree of crystallinity (dC). The hemolysis ratio of SFNFs was 0.86 ± 0.40%, and it was classified as being non-hemolytic (0%∼2%). The test results of toxicity and skin sensitization were both negative. With increasing dependence on precision electronic equipment, self-protection is becoming essential. The protection circuits commonly used before were fuses and circuit breakers which, however, they are not enough for the current need of high-speed protection circuits and automated engineering logic. In this paper, we develop a new ultrahigh-speed protection circuit, which is over exceeded 20 times faster than traditional circuits and has the ability to self-recover when any failure occurs. With the new circuit developed, it is not necessary to do manual restart and will meet the future needs of protection for electronic precision equipment. This design provides greater convenience and reliability for the unmanned equipment for the future. © 2019 IEEE.

Compared with AlphaFold2-based protein-ligand docking, Portal Learning significantly improved the performance by 79% in PR-AUC and 27% in ROC-AUC, respectively. The superior performance of Portal Learning allowed us to target previously "undruggable" proteins and design novel polypharmacological agents for disrupting interactions between SARS-CoV-2 and human proteins. Improving the Concentration of Students With Attention deficit Hyperactivity disorder and Autism Spectrum disorder: Electroencephalographic Analysis on the Effect of Learning Activity Interventions

This study examined whether the learning concentration of students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (AdHd) or autism spectrum disorder (ASd) can be improved through participation in one-on-one learning activities. A total of 13 students with AdHd or ASd were recruited to participate in various weekly one-on-one learning activities, in an effort to improve the concentration of students with special needs. Brainwave data were collected through electroencephalography and analyzed to explore students' concentration performance in different learning activities. To achieve the objective of this study, a multi-baseline design (ABAB), a type of single-subject design method, was employed. The experiment spanned 21 weeks, covering a fall and a spring semester: the first three weeks were defined as the 1st baseline phase, the 4th to 10th weeks as the 1st experimental phase, the 11th to 13th weeks as the 2nd baseline phase, and the 14th to 21th weeks as the 2nd experimental phase. The learning activities took place in the morning self-study period once a week, and the experiment was only suspended during two of the weeks because of school events. The purpose of the two baseline phases was to collect students' brainwave data. Students' brainwaves were measured for two minutes under two scenarios; first, while they were relaxed with eyes looking straight ahead; second, they were reading a passage. The purpose of the two experimental phases was to gradually enhance students' concentration by training them to perceive their own emotions through brainwave lamps. Initial results yielded different brainwave data for students with different types of disorders. After participating in the training on learning concentration, some students demonstrated improved concentration; however, after the 2nd experimental phase, students' concentration declined.
