Data is the lifeblood of the modern world, forming a fundamental part of AI, decision-making, and research advances. With increase in interest in data, governments have taken important steps towards a regulated data world, drastically impacting data sharing and data usability and resulting in massive amounts of data confined within the walls of organizations. While synthetic data generation (SDG) is an appealing solution to break down these walls and enable data sharing, the main drawback of existing solutions is the assumption of a trusted aggregator for generative model training. Given that many data holders may not want to, or be legally allowed to, entrust a central entity with their raw data, we propose a framework for collaborative and private generation of synthetic tabular data from distributed data holders. Our solution is general, applicable to any marginal-based SDG, and provides input privacy by replacing the trusted aggregator with secure multi-party computation (MPC) protocols and output privacy via differential privacy (DP). We demonstrate the applicability and scalability of our approach for the state-of-the-art select-measure-generate SDG algorithms MWEM+PGM and AIM. Copyright 2024 by the author(s)

Mathematical Modeling of Covid-19 and Dengue Co-Infection Dynamics in Bangladesh: Optimal Control and Data-Driven Analysis

This paper aims to explore the transmission dynamics of COVID-19 with dengue co-infection using mathematical modeling. In this study, SIR model is developed that explains the trajectory of the epidemic to boost a plan for an effective control strategy for COVID-19 in Bangladesh. The model is extended to optimal control strategies. Pontryagin’s Principle is used to establish the appropriate conditions for the existence of optimal control and the optimality system for the co-infection model. Coinfected cases were reduced with control greater than without control. Using Omicron incidence cases from 1st January – 13th April 2022, the maximum likelihood estimate of R₀ with a 95% confidence interval is1.89 [95% CI: 1.88, 1.91]. The R₀ estimated from the exponential growth method is 2.08 [95% CI: 2.07,2.09]and time-dependent estimate is 2.10[95% CI: 1.72,2.58]. The generalized logistic growth model predicted 19, 52,131 cumulative cases on day 103 (April 13, 2022), and a relatively flat curve of cumulative growth of COVID-19 cases implies a declining trend of new cases. The study also found from sensitivity analysis that, R₀ is proportional to the mean generation time. This paper attempted to focus on suppressing the COVID-19 co-infections by preventing dengue and COVID-19. The results of the study show that by implementing optimal control spread of dengue and COVID-19 could be minimized. The logistic growth model suggests that the infection rate of COVID-19 is decreasing. © 2023, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.

Exploring various phenomena and issues related to leaf images is paramount, particularly in segmentation and classification of such images. This study employs bibliometric analysis to delve into two overarching themes: The trends in publication and the evolution of publications, along with a keyword-based analysis. The research methodology unfolds in two stages: (1) data collection and (2) analysis. The dataset comprises 1,248 articles sourced from the Scopus database, covering the period from 1988 to 2023. The research findings unveil a noteworthy surge in publication trends, peaking at 231 documents in 2023. An in-depth examination of journal names demonstrates that studies on the segmentation and classification of leaf images are predominantly featured in computer science journals, exemplified by the publication of 589 documents. Furthermore, an analysis of frequently used keywords highlights 'Extraction' as the predominant term, employed a total of 364 times. This underscores that the research focus on leaf image segmentation and classification presents ample opportunities for researchers to delve more profoundly into the subject. © 2024 IEEE.

Quotient Hopf algebras of the free bialgebra with PBW bases and GK-dimensions

Let k be a field. We study the free bialgebra T generated by the coalgebra C = k{1, g, h} and its quotient bialgebras (or Hopf algebras) over k. We show that the free non-commutative Faà di Bruno bialgebra is a sub-bialgebra of T , and the quotient bialgebra T := T /(E_α | α(g) ≥ 2) is an Ore extension of the well-known Faà di Bruno bialgebra. The image of the free non-commutative Faà di Bruno bialgebra in the quotient T gives a more reasonable non-commutative (non-free) version of the commutative Faà di Bruno bialgebra from the PBW basis point view. If char k = p > 0, we obtain a chain of quotient Hopf algebras of T : T → T _n → T ⁰_n(p) → T _n(p) → T _n(p;d₁) → . . . → T _n(p;d_j, d_j−₁, . . ., d₁) → . . . → T _n(p;d_p−₂, d_p−₃, . . ., d₁) with infinite or finite GK-dimension. Research on flow and heat transfer of hybrid nanofluids has gained great significance due to their efficient heat transfer *** fact,hybrid nanofluids are a novel type of fluid designed to enhance heat transfer rate and have a wide range of engineering and industrial *** by this evolution,a theoretical analysis is performed to explore the flow and heat transport characteristics of Cu/Al_(2)O_(3) hybrid nanofluids driven by a stretching/shrinking ***,this work focuses on the physical impacts of thermal stratification as well as thermal radiation during hybrid nanofluid flow in the presence of a velocity slip *** mathematical modelling incorporates the basic conservation laws and Boussinesq *** formulation gives a system of governing partial differential equations which are later reduced into ordinary differential equations via dimensionless *** efficient numerical solver,known as bvp4c in MATLAB,is utilized to acquire multiple(upper and lower)numerical solutions in the case of shrinking *** computed results are presented in the form of flow and temperature *** most significant findings acquired from the current study suggest that multiple solutions exist only in the case of a shrinking surface until a critical/turning ***,solutions are unavailable beyond this turning point,indicating flow *** is found that the fluid temperature has been impressively enhanced by a higher nanoparticle volume fraction for both *** the other hand,the outcomes disclose that the wall shear stress is reduced with higher magnetic field in the case of the second *** simulation outcomes are in excellent agreement with earlier research,with a relative error of less than 1%.

In this paper, we introduce a new extension of the generalized Wright function, by means of the extended beta function. We consider many properties of extended Wright function, for example, derivative formulas, Mellin transform, Laplace transform, Euler-Beta transform and Whittaker transform. This current study presents a nonlinear system of the hepatitis B virus infection by using the strength of artificial neural network (ANN) together with the competences of global and local search efficiencies of genetic algorithm (GA) and sequential quadratic programming scheme (SQPS), i.e., ANN-GA-SQPS. An error function is designed to use the mathematical form of the hepatitis B virus differential model and its initial conditions. The optimization of the error function is performed by using the hybridization efficiency of the GA-SQPS for the hepatitis B virus infection disease model. For the competence of ANN-GA-SQPS, the matching of obtained and the Adams numerical solutions has been observed. The absolute error is found in good measures for solving a nonlinear hepatitis B virus infection disease model. Moreover, statistical measures using different indices for 50 independent executions and 30 variables have been performed to check constancy, reliability, and effectiveness of the ANN-GA-SQPS. © 2023 International Association for mathematics and Computers in Simulation (IMACS)

We examined the transverse momentum(pT)spectra of various identified particles,encompassing both light-flavored and strange hadrons(π++π−,K++K−,p+p¯,ϕ,K0s,Λ+Λ¯,Ξ−+Ξ¯+,andΩ−+Ω¯+),across different multiplicity classes in proton-proton collisions(p-p)at a center-of-mass energy of s√=7 *** the Tsallis and Hagedorn models,parameters relevant to the bulk properties of nuclear matter were *** models exhibit good agreement with experimental *** our analyses,we observed a consistent decrease in the effective temperature(T)for the Tsallis model and the kinetic or thermal freeze-out temperature(T0)for the Hagedorn model,as we transitioned from higher multiplicity(class-I)to lower multiplicity(class-X).This trend is attributed to the diminished energy transfer in higher multiplicity ***,we observed that the transverse flow velocity(βT)experiences a decline from class-I to *** normalization constant,which represents the multiplicity of produced particles,was observed to decrease as we moved toward higher multiplicity *** the effective and kinetic freeze-out temperatures,as well as the transverse flow velocity,show a mild dependency on multiplicity for lighter particles,this dependency becomes more pronounced for heavier *** multiplicity parameter for heavier particles was observed to be smaller than that of lighter particles,indicating a greater abundance of lighter hadrons compared to heavier *** particle species were observed to undergo decoupling from the fireball at distinct temperatures:lighter particles exhibit lower temperatures,while heavier ones show higher temperatures,thereby supporting the concept of multiple freeze-out ***,we identified a positive correlation between the kinetic freeze-out temperature and transverse flow velocity,a scenario where particles experience stronger collective motion at a higher freeze-out *** reason for this positive correlation is th

Performance-Guaranteed Finite-Time Tracking of Strict-Feedback Systems with Unknown Control Directions: A Novel Switching Mechanism

The problem of achieving performance-guaranteed finite-time exact tracking for uncertain strict-feedback nonlinear systems with unknown control directions is addressed. A novel logic switching mechanism with monitoring functions is designed to deal with unknown control directions. This approach is different from existing methods like the Nussbaum gain technique and smooth orientation functions, which are inapplicable to finite-time exact tracking. The main challenge lies in designing monitoring functions and determining switching rules, which is well resolved through three steps. Most significantly, in contrast to existing works that solely guarantee bounded tracking or asymptotic exact tracking, the new mechanism incorporates novel integral sliding mode techniques to achieve finite-time exact tracking with guaranteed performance. Finally, simulations are presented with comparison to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

Entropy production rate and correlations in a cavity magnomechanical system

We present the irreversibility generated by a stationary cavity magnomechanical system composed of a yttrium iron garnet (YIG) sphere with a diameter of a few hundred micrometers inside a microwave cavity. In this system, the magnons, i.e., collective spin excitations in the sphere, are coupled to the cavity photon mode via magnetic dipole interaction and to the phonon mode via magnetostrictive force (optomechanical-like). We employ the quantum phase-space formulation of the entropy change to evaluate the steady-state entropy production rate and associated quantum correlation in the system. We find that the behavior of the entropy flow between the cavity photon mode and the phonon mode is determined by the magnon-photon coupling and the cavity photon dissipation rate. Interestingly, the entropy production rate can increase/decrease depending on the strength of the magnon-photon coupling and the detuning parameters. We further show that the amount of correlations between the magnon and phonon modes is linked to the irreversibility generated in the system for small magnon-photon coupling. Our results demonstrate the possibility of exploring irreversibility in driven magnon-based hybrid quantum systems and open a promising route for quantum thermal applications.
