This article examines the dynamics for stochastic plate equations with linear memory in the case of bounded domain. We investigate the existence of solutions and bounded absorbing set by using the uniform pullback attractors on the tails estimates, and the asymptotic compactness of the random dynamical system is proved by decomposition method, and then we obtain the existence of a random attractor.

This chapter confers the significance of Casson fluid flow over a cylinder with radiation, Newtonian heating, and suction/injection. It is employed a suitable transformation for remodeling the governing PDE problem into an ODE model and derived the series solutions by applying the homotopic idea. The repercussions of appropriate parameters on the velocity of the fluid, the temperature of the fluid, skin friction coefficient, and the Nusselt number are graphically scrutinized. It is found that the fluid speed becomes small when the high quantity of injection/suction parameter. One of the most significant competitive issues modern businesses face is the supplier selection dilemma. Choosing the best green supplier is a complex, multifaceted problem since businesses need to enhance how they manage a supply chain that respects green methods and innovations to boost sustainability. Finding sets of criteria and accumulating domain knowledge have received comparatively less attention in research, with most studies concentrating on developing and improving novel techniques. A circular intuitionistic fuzzy set (Cr-IFS) is a well-known and efficient aggregation model. The primary feature of this study is to develop some flexible operations of Frank aggregation operators in the light of the circular intuitionistic fuzzy (Cr-IF) context. These Frank operators offer smooth and reliable aggregated results during the aggregation process. A family of robust aggregation models is derived to express the expert's opinion and judgments by the decision maker, including Cr-IF Frank weighted average (Cr-IFFWA) and Cr-IF Frank weighted geometric (Cr-IFFWG) operators. Some desirable characteristics and exceptional cases are also demonstrated to highlight validity and effectiveness. A robust decision algorithm for the multi-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) problem is established to prove the compatibility of diagnosed research work. To examine the stability of the derived mathematical approaches, an experimental case study is presented within the context of green supplier selection. To explore the advantages of pioneering techniques, a comprehensive comparative analysis is needed to prove the superiority of existing theories. © 2025 The Authors

One of the most important problems in science is understanding causation. This is particularly challenging when one has access to observational data only and is further compounded in the presence of latent confounders. In this paper, we propose a method for detecting confounders in multivariate time series using a recently introduced concept referred to as differential causal effect (DCE). The solution is based on feature-based Gaussian processes that are used for estimating both, the DCE of the observed time series and the latent confounders. We demonstrate the performance of the proposed method with several examples. They show that the proposed approach can detect confounders and can accurately estimate causal strengths. © 2023 European Signal Processing Conference, EUSIPCO. All rights reserved.

Optimal transport (OT) and the related Wasserstein metric (W) are powerful and ubiquitous tools for comparing distributions. However, computing pairwise Wasserstein distances rapidly becomes intractable as cohort size grows. An attractive alternative would be to find an embedding space in which pairwise Euclidean distances map to OT distances, akin to standard multidimensional scaling (MDS). We present Wasserstein Wormhole, a transformer-based autoencoder that embeds empirical distributions into a latent space wherein Euclidean distances approximate OT distances. Extending MDS theory, we show that our objective function implies a bound on the error incurred when embedding non-Euclidean distances. Empirically, distances between Wormhole embeddings closely match Wasserstein distances, enabling linear time computation of OT distances. Along with an encoder that maps distributions to embeddings, Wasserstein Wormhole includes a decoder that maps embeddings back to distributions, allowing for operations in the embedding space to generalize to OT spaces, such as Wasserstein barycenter estimation and OT interpolation. By lending scalability and interpretability to OT approaches, Wasserstein Wormhole unlocks new avenues for data analysis in the fields of computational geometry and single-cell biology. This research investigates the effectiveness of geopolymer concrete incorporating fly ash in environments rich in chlorides;in contrast to conventional Portland cement concrete (OPC). The study emphasizes essential characteristics such as workability, mechanical strength, capillary water absorption, open porosity, and chloride migration. The experiments demonstrated that geopolymer concrete exhibits a 30% enhancement in slump values, reflecting improved workability, and its compressive strength rose by 14.90–23.94% when compared with OPC. A significant reduction in binder content led to a notable decrease in capillary water absorption, highlighting a positive impact on long-term durability. With time, geopolymer concrete showed a reduction in open porosity and chloride migration coefficient, indicating better resistance to chloride penetration in marine settings. Although these outcomes underscore the potential of geopolymer concrete to improve structural durability, especially in marine infrastructure, additional optimization is required to tackle its relatively higher capillary water absorption and chloride migration during the initial stages. These results contribute to the ongoing investigation of sustainable building materials, offering valuable insights into geopolymer concrete’s ability to endure severe chloride exposure and serve as a durable solution for corrosion management in marine infrastructure. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Shiraz University 2024.

A biomechanical model often requires parameter estimation and selection in a known but complicated nonlinear function. Motivated by observing that the data from a head-neck position tracking system, one of biomechanical models, show multiplicative time-dependent errors, we develop a modified penalized weighted least squares estimator. The proposed method can be also applied to a model with possible non-zero mean time-dependent additive errors. Asymptotic properties of the proposed estimator are investigated under mild conditions on a weight matrix and the error process. A simulation study demonstrates that the proposed estimation works well in both parameter estimation and selection with time-dependent error. The analysis and comparison with an existing method for head-neck position tracking data show better performance of the proposed method in terms of the variance accounted for. © The Institute of Statistical mathematics, Tokyo 2024.

Distributed control for spatially interconnected time-varying delay systems under input saturation

This paper presents the distributed control design for a class of spatially interconnected continuous-time time-varying delay (SICTD) systems under input saturation. A distributed controller and distributed anti-windup compensator (AWC) are proposed based on the distributed structure of the SICTD system. Then, a sufficient condition is derived to guarantee the asymptotic stability and H∞ performance of the closed-loop system under the saturation constraints. We have also provided an algorithm for obtaining the AWC parameters by employing the elimination lemma and the cone complementary linearization approach. The proposed anti-windup compensation methodology can also be employed to compensate for the actuator saturation of the spatially interconnected delay-free systems. Finally, two practical examples are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed AWC design method. © 2023 The Franklin Institute

Supercapacitors (SCs) are a kind of energy storage that replaces conventional batteries and capacitors. Compared to capacitors, they can store more energy and supply power at a faster rate. Co3O4 nanoparticles have been employed in various products, including rechargeable Li-ion batteries, solar cells, supercapacitors, field effect transistors, field emission materials, magneto-resistive devices, capacitors, and gas sensors. Cobalt is valuable in various undertakings because, as early research found, it may reveal irregular oxidation forms (Co2+, Co3+, and Co4+). Because cobalt has a dual nature, its oxide structures can contain three distinct twist forms: inferior, intermediate, and superior. Co3O4 nanoparticles were created in the current study utilizing the sol-gel technique. Co3O4 nanoparticles with a cubic phase and a spinel structure underwent a two-hour thermal treatment at 600 °C in a furnace. The exceedingly pure cubic crystalline phases are visible using XRD. The crystallite size is 47 nm. Optical parameters were discovered via FTIR and U-V Visible spectroscopy with an energy band gap of 3.67 eV. The FESEM and EDX were also used to compute the surface morphology and elemental mapping of Co3O4. Additionally, Co3O4 electrochemical characteristics as determined by cyclic voltammetry (CV) with a specific capacitance of 532 F/g, galvanostatic charge-discharge with a specific capacitance of 614.2 F/g, and EIS confirmed the capacitive behavior of the Co3O4, which displayed a straight line at low frequencies and a very brief kinetic arc at high frequencies. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

In this study, asynchronous sliding-mode control (SMC) for discrete-time networked hidden stochastic jump systems subjected to the semi-Markov kernel (SMK) and cyber attacks is investigated. Considering the statistical characteristic of the SMK, which is challenging to acquire in engineering, this study recognizes the SMK to be incomplete. Due to the mode mismatch between the original system and the control law in the operating process, a hidden semi-Markov model is proposed to describe the considered asynchronous situation. The main aim of this study is to construct an asynchronous SMC mechanism based on an incomplete SMK framework under the condition of random denial-of-service attacks so that the resulting closed-loop system can realize the mean-square stability. By virtue of the upper bound of the sojourn time in each mode, innovative techniques are developed for mean-square stability analysis under an incomplete SMK. Furthermore, an asynchronous SMC scheme is designed to achieve the reachability of the quasi-sliding mode. Finally, the effectiveness is verified using an electronic throttle model. © 2013 IEEE.
