The non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)method is a novel multiple access technique that aims to increase spectral efficiency(SE)and accommodate enormous user ***-user signals are superimposed and transmitted in the power domain at the transmitting end by actively implementing controllable interference information,and multi-user detection algorithms,such as successive interference cancellation(SIC),are performed at the receiving end to demodulate the necessary user *** its basic signal waveform,like LTE baseline,could be based on orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA)or discrete Fourier transform(DFT)-spread OFDM,NOMA superimposes numerous users in the power *** contrast to the orthogonal transmission method,the nonorthogonal method can achieve higher spectrum ***,it will increase the complexity of its *** power allocation techniques will have a direct impact on the system’s *** a result,in order to boost the system capacity,an efficient power allocation mechanism must be *** research developed an efficient technique based on conjugate gradient to solve the problem of downlink power *** major goal is to maximize the users’maximum weighted sum *** suggested algorithm’s most notable feature is that it converges to the global optimal *** compared to existing methods,simulation results reveal that the suggested technique has a better power allocation capability.

This paper addresses an integrated lot sizing and scheduling problem in the industry of consumer goods for personal care, a very competitive market in which good customer service and cost management are crucial in the competition for clients. In this research, a complex operational environment composed of unrelated parallel machines with limited production capacity and sequence-dependent setup times and costs is studied. There is also a limitation in the total storage capacity for finished goods, a characteristic not found in the literature. Backordering is allowed, but it is extremely undesirable. The problem is described through a mixed integer linear programming formulation. Since the problem is NP-hard, relax-and-fix heuristics with hybrid partitioning strategies are investigated. Computational experiments with randomly generated and real-world instances are presented. The results show the efficacy and efficiency of the proposed approaches. Compared to the current solutions used by the company, the best proposed strategies yield results with substantially lower costs, primarily from the reduction in inventory levels and better allocation of production batches on the machines. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

When acting as a privacy-enhancing technology, synthetic data generation (SDG) aims to maintain a resemblance to the real data while excluding personally-identifiable information. Many SDG algorithms provide robust differential privacy (DP) guarantees to this end. However, we show that the strongest class of SDG algorithms-those that preserve marginal probabilities, or similar statistics, from the underlying data-leak information about individuals that can be recovered more efficiently than previously understood. We demonstrate this by presenting a novel membership inference attack, MAMA-MIA, and evaluate it against three seminal DP SDG algorithms: MST, PrivBayes, and Private-GSD. MAMA-MIA leverages knowledge of which SDG algorithm was used, allowing it to learn information about the hidden data more accurately, and orders-of-magnitude faster, than other leading attacks. We use MAMA-MIA to lend insight into existing SDG vulnerabilities. Our approach went on to win the first SNAKE (SaNitization Algorithm under attacK … ε) competition.

Learning with Noisy Labels: the Exploration of Error Bounds in Classification

Numerous studies have shown that label noise can lead to poor generalization performance, negatively affecting classification accuracy. Therefore, understanding the effectiveness of classifiers trained using deep neural networks in the presence of noisy labels is of considerable practical significance. In this paper, we focus on the error bounds of excess risks for classification problems with noisy labels within deep learning frameworks. We begin by exploring loss functions with noise-tolerant properties, ensuring that the empirical minimizer on noisy data aligns with that on the true data. Next, we estimate the error bounds of the excess risks, expressed as a sum of statistical error and approximation error. We estimate the statistical error on a dependent (mixing) sequence, bounding it with the help of the associated independent block sequence. For the approximation error, we first express the classifiers as the composition of the softmax function and a continuous function from [0, 1]d to RK. The main task is then to estimate the approximation error for the continuous function from [0, 1]d to RK. Finally, we focus on the curse of dimensionality based on the low-dimensional manifold assumption. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This study was conducted with the aim to the clustering of provinces in Indonesia of the risk of the COVID-19 pandemic based on coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) data. This clustering was based on the data obtained from the Indonesian COVID-19 Task Force (SATGAS COVID-19) on 19 April 2020. Provinces in Indonesia were grouped based on the data of confirmed, death, and recovered cases of COVID-19. This was performed using the K-Means Clustering method. Clustering generated 3 provincial groups. The results of the provincial clustering are expected to provide input to the government in making policies related to restrictions on community activities or other policies in overcoming the spread of COVID-19. Provincial Clustering based on the COVID-19 cases in Indonesia is an attempt to determine the closeness or similarity of a province based on confirmed, recovered, and death cases. UAV (Unoccupied Aerial Vehicle) swarms are coordinated agents working towards accomplishing a common goal in a dynamic environment. The nature of the environment is such that these swarms can always benefit from upgrades to their operation, behavior, and security. Incorporating blockchain technology into UAV swarms presents a transformative approach to enhancing their security, operations, and coordination. Blockchain is a decentralized ledger technology that offers a robust solution to scalability, data integrity, and trust challenges in many modern world systems. It can also be a potentially excellent method to enhance UAV swarm systems. By harnessing its security, transparency, and immutability characteristics, blockchain can offer a range of advantages to current deployments. This study categorizes the various areas of UAV swarm systems that benefit from this integration, briefly reviews current methods and architecture, and discusses three prominent case studies for integration. Thorough an examination of current trends, it is concluded that blockchain technology can significantly boost its target systems' capabilities, paving the way for advanced and reliable aerial swarm operations. © 2024 IEEE.

Though traditional search methods shine when faced with local goals and a plethora of decision factors, they could struggle when faced with engineering design limitations. On the other hand, metaheuristic approaches promise to find global optima in real-world optimization problems, even in nonlinear and multimodal settings. In order to improve cluster head selection in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), this research presents a new metaheuristic method that combines the principles of Cuckoo Search method (CSA) and Selection by Optimization (SBO). When choosing a Chief Cluster Head (CCH), the CSA algorithm takes hop count into account, whereas SBO finds the best cluster heads by considering communication range. By comparing the suggested approach to both stand-alone SBO and CSA methods, we can see how well it performs in terms of throughput, latency, energy usage, delivery ratio, and packet overhead. The combined SBO-CSA method improves cluster performance, simplifies cluster head selection in WSNs, and increases network efficiency overall, according to the results. To prove its efficacy in enhancing network performance, the suggested solution outperforms standalone SBO and CSA approaches across a range of performance parameters, such as throughput, latency, energy consumption, and packet overhead. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

MSC Codes 05C50, 05C22We consider the reconstruction of the vertex weight in the discrete Gel’fand’s inverse boundary spectral problem for the graph Laplacian. Given the boundary vertex weight and the edge weight of the graph, we develop reconstruction procedures to recover the interior vertex weight from the Neumann boundary spectral data on a class of finite, connected and weighted graphs. The procedures are divided into two stages: the first stage reconstructs the Neumann-to-Dirichlet map for the graph wave equation from the Neumann boundary spectral data, and the second stage reconstructs the interior vertex weight from the Neumann-to-Dirichlet map using the boundary control method adapted to weighted graphs. For the second stage, we identify a class of weighted graphs where the unique continuation principle holds for the graph wave equation. The reconstruction procedures are further turned into an algorithm, which is implemented and validated on several numerical examples with quantitative performance reported. This study examined the effect of Zn2+ ion substitution on ZnxMn(1-x) Fe2O4 nanoparticles (x = 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8) towards signal Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR). The co-precipitation method synthesised the nanoparticles at a temperature of 90°C. The X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) results showed a polycrystalline structure with a crystallite size varied from 19.05 nm to 19.77 nm. In addition, as the Zn element increased in the ZnxMn(1-x)Fe2O4 nanoparticles, the degree of crystallinity increased by 21.72%, respectively. The optical properties of the nanoparticles ZnxMn(1-x) Fe2O4 indicate absorbance at wavelengths of 330.36–331.74 nm. The absorbance level increased as the Zn element decreased, resulting a direct optical gap of 3.47 eV and an indirect optical gap of 3.23 eV. The Attenuated Total Reflection (ATR) curve in the SPR biosensor indicated a shift in the reflective angle of the Prism/Au/Air configuration, which is 47.78° on Prisma/Au/nanoparticle of Zn0.8Mn0.2Fe2O4/air by 50.75°, and the prism/Au/nanoparticle of Zn0.2Mn0.8Fe2 O4/air by 51.04°. The substitution of Zn ions in the compound Zn x Mn(1-x)Fe2O4 affects the resulting ATR curve. The shift in the SPR angle is caused by changes in the refractive index in each layer which is influenced by the concentration of each material which has an impact on the absorbance ability and photon reflectance. This research has the potential to continue with the testing of dielectric and magnetic properties, as well as special testing for biological analytes compatible with ZnxMn(1-x)Fe2O4 nanoparticles. © 2023 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.
