A novel approach is being developed to introduce a parallel asynchronous implementation of non-intrusive global-local coupling. This study examines scenarios involving numerous patches, including those covering the entire structure. By leveraging asynchronous, the method aims to minimize reliance on communication, handle failures effectively, and address load imbalances. We propose relaxed Lyapunov-based conditions to ensure input-to-state stability (ISS) of nonlinear time-delay systems. Their strength lies in the fact that the dissipation rate of the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) involves only the current value of solution's norm rather than the LKF itself. The additional requirement takes the form of a growth condition between the dissipation rate and its maximal increase along the system's solutions. We show through examples that the obtained conditions are more general than existing techniques, including the strictification method through the addition of an exponential term in the integral kernel of the LKF, whose limitations are highlighted through a counter-example. © 2024 IEEE.

We present a neurogeometric model for stereo vision and individuation of 3D perceptual units. We first model the space of position and orientation of 3D curves in the visual scene as a sub-Riemannian structure. Horizontal curves in this setting express good continuation principles in 3D. Starting from the equation of neural activity we apply harmonic analysis techniques in the sub-Riemannian structure to solve the correspondence problem and find 3D percepts. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

A conventional study of fluid simulation involves different stages including conception, simulation, visualization, and analysis tasks. It is, therefore, necessary to switch between different software and interactive contexts which implies costly data manipulation and increases the time needed for decision making. Our interactive simulation approach was designed to shorten this loop, allowing users to visualize and steer a simulation in progress without waiting for the end of the simulation. The methodology allows the users to control, start, pause, or stop a simulation in progress, to change global physical parameters, to interact with its 3D environment by editing boundary conditions such as walls or obstacles. This approach is made possible by using a methodology such as the Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) to achieve interactive time while remaining physically relevant. In this work, we present our platform dedicated to interactive fluid simulation based on LBM. The contribution of our interactive simulation approach to decision making will be evaluated in a study based on a simple but realistic use case. © 2021 The Author(s).

Adapting a counter-example recently proposed by J.L. Mancilla-Aguilar and H. Haimovich, we show here that, for time-delay systems, global asymptotic stability does not ensure that solutions converge uniformly to zero over bounded sets of initial states. Community rating is a policy that mandates uniform premium regardless of the risk factors. In this paper, our focus narrows to the single contract interpretation wherein we establish a theoretical framework for community rating using Stiglitz's (1977) monopoly model in which there is a continuum of agents. We exhibit profitability conditions and show that, under mild regularity conditions, the optimal premium is unique and satisfies the inverse elasticity rule. We consider time-delay systems with a finite number of delays in the state space L∞ × n. In this framework, we show that forward completeness implies the bounded reachability sets property, while this implication was recently shown by J.L. Mancilla-Aguilar and H. Recent advances in high-throughput sequencing technologies have enabled the extraction of multiple features that depict patient samples at diverse and complementary molecular levels. The generation of such data has led to new challenges in computational biology regarding the integration of high-dimensional and heterogeneous datasets that capture the interrelationships between multiple genes and their functions. Thanks to their versatility and ability to learn synthetic latent representations of complex data, deep learning methods offer promising perspectives for integrating multi-omics data. These methods have led to the conception of many original architectures that are primarily based on autoencoder models. However, due to the difficulty of the task, the integration strategy is fundamental to take full advantage of the sources' particularities without losing the global trends. This paper presents a novel strategy to build a customizable autoencoder model that adapts to the dataset used in the case of high-dimensional multi-source integration. We will assess the impact of integration strategies on the latent representation and combine the best strategies to propose a new method, CustOmics (https://***/HakimBenkirane/CustOmics). We focus here on the integration of data from multiple omics sources and demonstrate the performance of the proposed method on test cases for several tasks such as classification and survival analysis. © 2022, CC BY.
