This study addresses the deficiencies in the assumptions of the results in Chen and Yang, 2017 [1] due to the lack of uniformity. We first show the missing hypothesis by presenting a counterexample. Then we prove why they are wrong in that form and show the errors in the proof of the main result of [1]. Next, we compare the assumptions and related results of [1] with similar works in the literature. Lastly, we give suggestions to complement the shortcomings of the hypotheses and thus correct them. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

Urban Green Space (UGS) plays a vital role in maintaining the balance of urban ecosystems. In Yogyakarta City, urban development and an increase in population accompanied by a decrease and insufficiency in the proportion of UGS correlate with rising urban temperatures. Monitoring the availability of UGS can serve as a foundation for decision-making in managing the city's UGS. With advancements in technology and computing in the field of computer Vision (CV), it's possible to recognize UGS from the geometric patterns of satellite images. This study proposes a vegetation segmentation method using satellite images and a Deep Learning (DL) method with the U-Net architecture to estimate the availability of UGS. Evaluation results show that the image dataset without preprocessing with the Red Green Blue (RGB) color channel gives an average Intersection over Union (IoU) of 80.74%. These results are better than data that underwent grayscaling and contrast stretching preprocessing. Based on a case study conducted in three sub-districts in the Yogyakarta region, the constructed U-Net model gave an average IoU evaluation of 60.88%. These results demonstrate the model's capability to provide a reference in calculating the UGS area at the sub-district level, which can then be utilized by the Yogyakarta City government to analyze the availability of UGS more efficiently. With this analysis, the government can make strategic decisions to manage UGS and create a sustainable urban environment. © 2023 IEEE.

Fine Tuning Attribute Weighted Naïve Bayes (FTAWNB) is a reliable modified Naïve Bayes model. Even though it is able to provide high accuracy on ordinal data, this model is sensitive to outliers. To improve the performance of FTAWNB, this research modified the Partial Instances Reduction (PIR) technique to make the FTAWNB more adaptive to outliers. Nevertheless, in contrast to the original PIR technique, which substitutes missing values for data values deemed outliers, the PIR technique suggested in this study replaces data values deemed outliers using a Naïve Bayes weighting approach. The attribute values from the outlier data are replaced with the highest probability values for the attributes in the actual class. This PIR technique is referred to as modified PIR. The FTAWNB model with modified PIR has been evaluated using the Gaming Disorder dataset. Replacing the four attributes with the least amount of information resulted in accuracy gains of 99.74%, an increase of 1.53% over the FTAWNB model. The experimental result shows that adding the modified PIR technique to the FTAWNB model can handle the outlier in the data, proving it by increasing the performance in terms of accuracy, precision, and recall without pruning the dataset used. © 2025, Ital Publication. A numerical study on the interaction of electromagnetic waves with photonic crystals with one-dimensional periodicity has been carried out using the Finite Volume method. The photonic crystals with one-dimensional periodicity consists of 7 alternating layers of and with thicknesses of and, respectively. Electromagnetic field components have been simulated to propagate through the photonic crystal structure, experiencing reflection and transmission at each layer of the structure. The simulation results show the occurrence of absorption precisely at the Bragg frequency by the photonic crystal, which is referred to as the photonic band gap (PBG). A comparison of the simulation results has been conducted using different fluxes, such as the Lax-Friedrichs and upwind schemes, under PBG conditions. The results show smoother absorption using the Lax-Friedrichs scheme. Additionally, the use of a single-layer graphene on the front side of the photonic crystal has shown more perfect absorption compared to without the single-layer graphene. Therefore, the integrated graphene-photonic crystal system can be used as a perfect reflector. The simulation runs well using effective absorbing boundary conditions (ABCs) to reduce wave reflections at the edges of the computational window. Based on the simulation results, the Finite Volume method has been proven to be a powerful tool in describing electromagnetic wave propagation through photonic crystal systems with or without graphene. These findings provide a foundational model for fabrication approaches and holds potential for future advancements in sensor technologies, moreover two-dimensional and three-dimensional structures. © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing. In this study, we created an Intelligent Geospatial Platform called GeoBeeDashboard. The GeoBeeDashboard combines advanced geospatial technologies and artificial intelligence (AI), allowing real-time data visualization and optimized decision-making across multiple sectors. The system architecture consists of a ***-based front end, a FastAPI-driven back end, and PostGIS for geospatial data management. One of the GeoBeeDashboard's primary use cases is addressing waste management issues in Tangerang City, Indonesia. As rapid urbanization increases waste generation, effective management becomes critical. The dashboard identifies critical trends and inefficiencies in Tangerang's districts by K-Means clustering waste management data from 2020 to 2023. Our findings identify distinct clusters, highlighting areas with effective waste management and those that require targeted interventions. The benefits that local government can get from GeoBeeDashboard by utilising insights based on clustering analysis of data per each district in Tangerang to optimise waste collection, allocate resources efficiently, and improve the policy-making process for each district in Tangerang. The GeoBeeDashboard improves local government capabilities by providing a scalable model for other cities facing similar urban challenges. In conclusion, GeoBeeDashboard provides local governments with a powerful tool for addressing waste management inefficiencies and fostering sustainable urban development. © 2024 IEEE.

Damage is often defined as a condition where there is a change in an object or shape. Damage does not only occur to objects, it can occur to living things, including trees. Damage to trees is seen in the physical shape of the tree that has changed shape, to find out it requires deep learning. One way that can be used is by modelling through computers through artificial intelligence, namely creating a deep learning model that can retrieve image information to recognise objects. This research aims to utilise convolutional neural network algorithm in deep learning to identify tree damage. The research stages carried out are input, feature extraction and classification, and output. The final result obtained is the successful identification of trees in deep learning on the model with an accuracy of 99.06% with a detection error of 0.94%. Detection errors occur due to similarities in terms of patterns, etc. This can be minimised by combining hyperparameters. Copyright © 2024 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Stemming, an essential procedure in natural language processing (NLP), diminishes words to their base forms, facilitating tasks such as information retrieval and sentiment analysis. Although stemming techniques for highresource languages are well-developed, numerous low-resource languages, including dialect of Tulang Bawang, suffer from inadequate solutions owing to a scarcity of linguistic data and resources. Existing systems, including rule-based stemmers, have demonstrated efficacy in processing low-resource languages such as Indonesian and Javanese by utilizing established morphological rules. Nonetheless, these methods encounter considerable obstacles, such as restricted adaptability, inability to accommodate unusual root structures, and excessive dependence on fixed rules that might result in over- or understemming. Rule-based methodologies frequently misidentify roots when faced with intricate affixes or unconventional word forms. We introduce an improved rule-based Tulang Bawang Stemmer aimed at overcoming these constraints by enhancing current linguistic rules and integrating new patterns specific to the language's morphology. Assessed on 500 test samples and 200 independent test samples, our improved stemmer attained gold standard evaluation metrics of 96.2% and 94%, respectively, surpassing prior implementations in both precision and generalization. The findings demonstrate the potential of enhanced rule-based techniques to improving NLP for lowresource languages. Improved stemming performance enables better downstream applications, promotes more efficient text analysis, and advances research in underrepresented languages. © 2025 IEEE.

Industrial and distribution service problems that belong to combinatorial optimization include vehicle routing with Vehicle Routing Problem. This research builds a framework and implements it in a multi-class optimization model to reduce overfitting and misclassification results caused by unbalanced multiclassification in the influence of the number of 'nodes' on vehicle routes with machine learning. The problem of imbalance in vehicle route classification has been a challenge in the classification process and attracted the attention of a number of researchers. The purpose of the model in general is to gain an understanding of the mechanism in the problem so as to classify the imbalanced vehicle route data based on JNE delivery routes. The solution method that will be used by applying k-nearest neighbor to determine the amount of carrying capacity of the goods will then determine the delivery location point with the vehicle routing problem. So that this model can be a model in determining vehicle routes based on the capacity limit of the number of shipments of goods. © 2023 IEEE.

Enterprise Architecture Framework (EAF) is a commonly used framework and the best solution for addressing and defining the transformation that needs to be built to support business operations. To be able to make the transition quickly, many higher education institutions (HEIs) are starting to adopt EAF. This research aims to help the evolution and transpiration of enterprise architecture research in higher education. This research uses a systematic literature review (SLR) research method which includes several steps, namely identifying research questions, identifying research sources, using keywords to complete the data discovery process, disseminating data, and analyzing the results to answer research questions. The data used comes from digital libraries, especially Emerald Insight, IEEE Xplore Digital Library, and science Direct. Data taken from 2019 to 2023 in RIS format will then be analyzed and visualized using VosViewer. The results of this research are to find the growth of research publications over five years, find research trends on enterprise architecture frameworks, identify relationships between scientific concepts, and determine the knowledge network of enterprise architecture frameworks based on keywords. © 2023 IEEE.

This research explores the intricate relationship between questionnaire structures and the accuracy of learning style predictions among students. Focusing on the balance between core and secondary questions, the study meticulously analyzes various ratios, emphasizing their impact on the learning style classification system. Through rigorous testing and integration of the Felder-Silverman Learning Style Model (FSLSM) with the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm, the research uncovers crucial insights. Results showcase that a careful balance and distribution of questions significantly enhance the accuracy of predicting student learning styles, with accuracy rates reaching up to 89%. This study not only emphasizes the importance of personalized education but also demonstrates the practical applicability of advanced machine learning techniques. The findings provide a roadmap for the future of education, emphasizing a nuanced, question-specific approach for a more accurate, tailored, and responsive learning experience. © 2023 IEEE.
