This paper presents a new data assimilation (DA) scheme based on a sequential Markov Chain Monte Carlo (SMCMC) DA technique [36] which is provably convergent and has been recently used for filtering, particularly for high-dimensional non-linear, and potentially, non-Gaussian state-space models. Unlike particle filters, which can be considered exact methods and can be used for filtering non-linear, non-Gaussian models, SMCMC does not assign weights to the samples/particles, and therefore, the method does not suffer from the issue of weight-degeneracy when a relatively small number of samples is used. We design a localization approach within the SMCMC framework that focuses on regions where observations are located and restricts the transition densities included in the filtering distribution of the state to these regions. This results in immensely reducing the effective degrees of freedom and thus improving the efficiency. We test the new technique on high-dimensional (d ∼ 104 − 105) linear Gaussian model and non-linear shallow water models with Gaussian noise with real and synthetic observations. For two of the numerical examples, the observations mimic the data generated by the Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission led by NASA, which is a swath of ocean height observations that changes location at every assimilation time step. We also use a set of ocean drifters' real observations in which the drifters are moving according the ocean kinematics and assumed to have uncertain locations at the time of assimilation. Stemming, an essential procedure in natural language processing (NLP), diminishes words to their base forms, facilitating tasks such as information retrieval and sentiment analysis. Although stemming techniques for highresource languages are well-developed, numerous low-resource languages, including dialect of Tulang Bawang, suffer from inadequate solutions owing to a scarcity of linguistic data and resources. Existing systems, including rule-based stemmers, have demonstrated efficacy in processing low-resource languages such as Indonesian and Javanese by utilizing established morphological rules. Nonetheless, these methods encounter considerable obstacles, such as restricted adaptability, inability to accommodate unusual root structures, and excessive dependence on fixed rules that might result in over- or understemming. Rule-based methodologies frequently misidentify roots when faced with intricate affixes or unconventional word forms. We introduce an improved rule-based Tulang Bawang Stemmer aimed at overcoming these constraints by enhancing current linguistic rules and integrating new patterns specific to the language's morphology. Assessed on 500 test samples and 200 independent test samples, our improved stemmer attained gold standard evaluation metrics of 96.2% and 94%, respectively, surpassing prior implementations in both precision and generalization. The findings demonstrate the potential of enhanced rule-based techniques to improving NLP for lowresource languages. Improved stemming performance enables better downstream applications, promotes more efficient text analysis, and advances research in underrepresented languages.

Air pollution makes it worse in populated regions. Indonesia's major cities are also impacted by air pollution. Due to rising traffic, material consumption by vehicles, industrial growth, land burning, and garbage collection, air quality has altered significantly. Accurate measurement and classification of air quality are required. Results of accurate classification aid in forming governmental regulations. To reach the criteria for livable air quality, we intend to manage controls. Some of the characteristics of air pollution include particulate (PM10) or PM25, sulfides (in the form of SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), ozone (O3), and nitrites (NO2). Using the XGBoost algorithm and synthetic minority oversampling (SMOTE) methods based on the Air Pollution Standard Index (ISPU) category, this study seeks to uncover factors that affect air quality. XGBoost, an ensemble machine learning approach built on a decision tree and applying a gradient reinforcement framework, is the classification algorithm in use. Air quality categorization has been tested and shown to work with the XGBoost algorithm. The dataset used in this study is air quality in 2021 which was collected by the Jakarta Environmental Ministry The proposed classification model will be evaluated using the Repeated k-fold cross-validation method for objective results. The results of the study prove that SMOTE and XGBoost have better performance than using only the XGBoost method in predicting air quality, where the overall accuracy value of SMOTE with XGBoost is 99.60%, The overall precision value is 99.60%, the overall recall value is 99.60% and the overall f1-score is 99.60% and the overall ROC AUC value is 99.96%. The overall SMOTE method with the proposed XGBoost has given better performance in air pollution prediction. © 2022 IEEE.

The university admission process can be overwhelming for applicants and admission officers, with many questions being asked and answered every year. The manual classification of these questions can be time-consuming and may lead to errors, making exploring automated solutions to this problem essential. In recent years, advances in natural language processing (NLP), including question classification. The research proposes an architecture for a question classification system using the Indonesian Language in closed-domain question answering. The purpose of this research is to find out the classification of questions. We created a system with the Named-Entity Recognition method to recognize the next word that will be used as a candidate type of question and candidate answer. The type of question used is a factoid question. Research makes patterns and rules for extracting important words as features to determine the taxonomy of question classification. Datasets are collected from one private university in Indonesia. Data sources from Binus Online Learning websites and data on questions frequently asked by users, especially prospective students. The results of the question classification are presented using descriptive statistics. The results show that the question classification with users’ most frequent question type is “What” by 63.3%, and the answer category is “tuition fees” by 22.4%. It can be concluded that the most frequent question type asked by users is “What”, and the most frequent topic of interest is “tuition fees”. Organizations can use this information to improve customer service by providing more relevant information and resources about tuition fees.

Industrial and distribution service problems that belong to combinatorial optimization include vehicle routing with Vehicle Routing Problem. This research builds a framework and implements it in a multi-class optimization model to reduce overfitting and misclassification results caused by unbalanced multiclassification in the influence of the number of ‘nodes’ on vehicle routes with machine learning. The problem of imbalance in vehicle route classification has been a challenge in the classification process and attracted the attention of a number of researchers. The purpose of the model in general is to gain an understanding of the mechanism in the problem so as to classify the imbalanced vehicle route data based on JNE delivery routes. The solution method that will be used by applying k-nearest neighbor to determine the amount of carrying capacity of the goods will then determine the delivery location point with the vehicle routing problem. So that this model can be a model in determining vehicle routes based on the capacity limit of the number of shipments of goods.

In this study, a module generator for Odoo using a low-code development concept was proposed. Odoo is an open-source ERP software that brings together necessary modules for various business management and a Python web framework which allows developers to develop a module to extend the capability of Odoo. In recent years, software development on Odoo usually requires time to learn due to the complexity of the framework. Therefore, a platform developed using low-code development-a concept of software creation with less code writing-was proposed. This platform is a web-based application tool that generates codes for developers to assist them in creating modules with less concern about errors and more focus on the logical side of programming. Developers can also use this application as a tool to validate and generate a source code for a ready-to-use module. This application was tested with non-Odoo users, Odoo users, and Odoo developers with various models containing various fields. Time efficiency between three types of users was compared, as well as time efficiency between generating a module using the conventional method and using the low-code concept module generator. The result revealed that using this application could reduce time by 20% on average. © 2021 IEEE.

Companies or organizations usually use key performance indicators (KPI) as indicators to determine their performance. The company's performance achievements are reflected in the set indicators that will describe the overall performance, as well as higher education institutions can also set key performance indicators, to see their performance achievements. The use of e-learning as a tool to support teaching and learning processes to be more effective and efficient is an example of which performance needs to be measured. This article discusses how the process of developing key performance indicators is carried out through the stages of designing questionnaires and distributing questionnaires to students, data is processed using the method of factor analysis to obtain the main indicators determining performance and the method of regression analysis is also used to build performance models. obtain KPI determinants, and then develop KPI models. The results show that there are indicators of sharing knowledge, managing knowledge, understanding knowledge, and utilization knowledge as performance measurement indicators. © 2023 IEEE.

In this article, we propose a normalized time-fractional Black–Scholes (TFBS) equation. The proposed model uses a normalized time-fractional derivative which has a distinctive feature wherein a weight function possesses the property that its integral with respect to time is always equal to one. This feature ensures a well-balanced integration over time and provides a fair comparison between different fractional orders. An implicit finite difference method is used for the numerical solution of the TFBS equation. We perform several standard numerical tests to examine the effect of the fractional parameter on the option pricing. These experiments are designed to investigate how variations in the fractional parameter influence pricing outcomes and provide valuable insights into the model’s behavior under different conditions. The computational results demonstrate the model’s potential for capturing more intricate market dynamics, which makes the proposed model a promising tool for financial analysis. Relationship with customers is one of the most crucial factors in business continuity and development. Many current businesses have started delving into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to establish and maintain their sales and customer relationships. This research was conducted on one retail company that implements CRM but experiencing a gap in their unit sales performance between their targeted sales and the realization. This study aims to analyze the gaps causing factors using Factor Analysis Method, constructing a suitable regression model, and proposing the company's necessary strategy. The research was conducted quantitatively using a questionnaire from 264 respondents. The result of this study showed that there are five causing factors which are CRM Reliability, Underutilization of CRM, CRM Capability, CRM Unpreparedness, and Customer Relation Quality, as well as forming a regression model of the company's CRM performance. © 2023 IEEE.

This research explores the intricate relationship between questionnaire structures and the accuracy of learning style predictions among students. Focusing on the balance between core and secondary questions, the study meticulously analyzes various ratios, emphasizing their impact on the learning style classification system. Through rigorous testing and integration of the Felder-Silverman Learning Style Model (FSLSM) with the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm, the research uncovers crucial insights. Results showcase that a careful balance and distribution of questions significantly enhance the accuracy of predicting student learning styles, with accuracy rates reaching up to 89%. This study not only emphasizes the importance of personalized education but also demonstrates the practical applicability of advanced machine learning techniques. The findings provide a roadmap for the future of education, emphasizing a nuanced, question-specific approach for a more accurate, tailored, and responsive learning experience.
