We suggest a new mechanism for the formation of true muonium (TM), the QED (µ+µ−) bound state, due to the Coulomb interaction of muons from µ+µ− pairs generated in the Drell-Yan reaction of protons off nuclei of a thin foil target. The TM atoms produced in the 3S1 long-lived triplet state (oTM) could escape from the foil to vacuum followed by their decay into e+e− pairs. Observation of e+e− events with a displaced vertex, and an invariant mass and decay time consistent with the mass and lifetime of the oTM is used as a signature of the discovery of TM. We present estimates of the TM yield and briefly discuss an experiment which could lead to such a discovery. © 2025, CC BY.

The complexity of exhaustive problems with the properties of large-scale, openness, unpredictable dynamics, and component mobility determines the relevance of developing microservice-oriented software for their solving in a hybrid computational environment. We propose an approach for adapting to this environment both the existing software and new ones developed using new automated technology for creating an applied microservice package and organizing control of computations in it. The distributed computational model is represented by a set of small, loosely coupled, replaceable, interacting with the use of lightweight communication mechanisms autonomous microservices that implement the functions of the program package modules. The decentralized management of the microservices interaction is carried out by a self-organizing multi-agent system, agents of which are delegated the rights to launch microservices. The paper discusses the models, methods, and software platform that form the basis of the proposed technology. We demonstrate the application of the applied microservice package, based on this technology, for solving the problems of qualitative analysis of binary dynamic system using the author's Boolean constraints method. This paper addresses numerical solution of a 3-player polymatrix game (hexamatrix game) which is is reduced to a special nonconvex optimization problem with a bilinear structure in the objective function. For the latter problem, the numerical method for finding the Nash equilibrium is built. This method is based on the Global Search theory developed by A.S. Strekalovsky and was tested on randomly generated hexamatrix games to demonstrate its efficiency and reliability. © 2017 Slovenian Society Informatika. All Rights Reserved.

This paper explores the possibility of designing an efficient global optimization algorithm using an artificial intelligence chatbot, ChatGPT. The main idea is to use the swarm intelligence metaheuristic method, which operates on a set of particles in a swarm, to solve non-local univariate search problems. Testing was carried out on a set of one-dimensional non-convex functions with varying numbers of local optima. The results demonstrate that this algorithm can be used to solve multi-extremal optimization problems. The paper presents the results of a numerical study on the properties of this algorithm in comparison with the Piyavsky method, the Strongin method, and a combination of the Strongin with the Parabolas methods. The performed computational experiments testify to the suitability of the obtained swarm intelligence algorithm for solving univariate non-local search problems. This approach can also be useful for solving auxiliary optimization problems and for developing multimethod computational technologies. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

A logic method for structural-parametric synthesis of a binary dynamical system with a given periodic trajectory is proposed. This method provides a constructive solution for the considered problem. The attraction region of such a trajectory must coincide with a given subset of the state space. An additional constraint sets the acceptable time for reaching this trajectory from its attraction region. As admissible structures for dynamical models of the synthesis, we consider the following systems: linear systems, systems with the disjunctive and conjunctive right sides. All conditions of the problem are written in the form of a quantified Boolean formula with subsequent verification of its truth using a specialized solver, which gives values of the required parameters of the dynamical model. The software implementation of the proposed method in the form of a composite service is presented. All stages of the parametric synthesis of a Boolean network based on the proposed method are demonstrated in the example of a one-step linear system. Copyright © 2021 for this paper by its authors.

The paper addresses the relevant problem of data preparation for testing modules of scientific applications. Such testing requires the multiple executions of modules with different parameters for various scenarios of solving problems in applications. Often, data sources for parameters used for problem-solving are subject data (experimental results, reports, statistical forms and other information resources) created earlier as a result of functioning various objects of a subject domain. Usually, such data are heterogeneous and weakly structured. The developer of scientific applications has to make additional efforts in extracting, cleaning, integrating, and formatting data in order to achieve the correctness and efficiency of their use in applications. The aim of the study is the development of a framework for automating the description of semi-structured data and their transformation into target structures used by scientific applications. We proposed a conceptual model that allows us to represent knowledge about the structure of the source data, determine their relations with the target structures and set the rules for data transformation. Additionally, we developed a framework prototype. It is integrated into the technological scheme of continuous integration for modules of scientific applications (distributed applied software packages) that are developed with the help of Orlando Tools. This paper deals with optimal impulsive control problems whose states are functions of bounded variation and impulsive controls are regular vector measures. The problem under consideration has multipoint state constraints. Examples of such problems may be found in mechanics, quantum electronics, robotics, ecology, economics, etc. Sufficient global optimality conditions involving certain sets of Lyapunov type functions are proposed. These Lyapunov type functions are strongly monotone solutions of the corresponding Hamilton-Jacobi inequalities. © Copyright by the paper's authors.

Single-axis equilibrium orientations to the attracting center of a symmetrical prolate orbital gyrostat with an elastic rod

Under study in the restricted formulation is the motion of a symmetrical prolate stationary gyrostat along a Keplerian circular orbit in a central Newtonian field of forces. An elastic homogeneous rod, rectilinear in the undeformed state, is rigidly clamped by one end in the body of gyrostat along its axis of symmetry. There is a point mass at the free end of the rod. The inextensible elastic rod, for simplicity of constant circular cross-section, performs infinitesimal space oscillations in the process of system motion. In this case, we neglect the terms in the system’s tensor of inertia which are nonlinear with respect to displacements of the points of the *** consider the following (so-called semi-inverse) problem: Under what kinetic momentumof the flywheel, among the relative equilibriums of the system (the states of rest relative to the orbital coordinate system) does there exist an equilibrium such that the axis, arbitrarily chosen in the coordinate system associated with the gyrostat, is collinear with the local vertical? In the discretization of the problem, we present the values of the Lagrange coordinates that define the deformation of the rod for these equilibria and the value of gyrostatic moment providing the presence of the equilibrium in question. © 2017, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

The paper considers the main ideas of proposed computational technology for scenario modeling and forecasting the development of the national fuel and energy complexes of Russia and Mongolia, regarding to the intercountry trade in fuel and energy resources. The proposing technology exploits the ideas of multi-agent systems (MASs) and agent-based simulation models (ABSMs) as they can act as unifying means for different types of decision-making methods by distributed objects. Methodological principles and architecture for ABSM of the national fuel and energy complexes of Russia and Mongolia were proposed. The implementation issues of the model in the Adskit software tool is discussed. The problem of laying routes of extended energy objects is also considered. Based on the principles of geometric optics the author's solution algorithm in the form of a special case of the variational problem was proposed to deal with this problem. The application of MAS and ABSM paradigms for forecasting and evaluating the state of the fuel and energy sector in Russia and Mongolia allows one to organize a step-by-step research of the energy system with the gradual development of the model: Increasing the types of objects and agents;improving decision-making algorithms, including those based on mathematical models;creating complex scenarios. The technology forms methodological basis for supporting decision-making process of evaluation the prospective variants of bilateral energy cooperation of Russia and Mongolia and related project effectiveness. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2020.
