One of the challenges for the popularization of knowledge-based systems (KBS) is to be more user-friendly and involved in solving everyday tasks. A way to encourage users to apply KBSs more actively is the use of up-to-date achievements in the field of human-machine communication, in particular a special type of intelligent systems – virtual assistants. In this paper we present the roadmap ideas for proper upgradation of the Prototyping Expert systems based On Transformations (PESoT) technique for the virtual assistant facilities. This technique involves the use and transformation of conceptual models and ontologies for creating software and source codes. In this paper, we present computation- and platform-independent models (ontology of the dialog model, ontology for the Aimylogic tool) as well as correspondence examples for transformation implementation.

Knowledge bases are one of the main elements of intelligent systems. In that, knowledge base engineering is traditionally considered as a "bottleneck" in the design of such systems, and it is a deterrent factor of their widespread use. Computer-aided construction of knowledge base that employs various information sources is a promising area of scientific research. Web tables may be one of such sources, and they are among the most accessible and common ways for representing and storing tabular information. In this paper, we propose to automate ontological knowledge base engineering by using the semantic annotation of data from web tables and present an approach to filling the ontological knowledge base with specific entities (facts) extracted from web tables. This approach is implemented in the form of a tool. The tool has been used to solve the problem of forming domain knowledge graphs for the TALISMAN framework.

Abstract Sufficient and necessary global optimality conditions for nonlinear impulsive dynamic optimization problems with endpoint constraints are obtained. Proofs of these results are based on Hamilton-Jacobi canonical optimality theory. As consequence, a Maximum Principle reverse into sufficient optimality conditions is proposed.

In this paper we propose the technology for integrating idle computing cluster resources into volunteer computing projects. The main principles of this technology are the following: only standard cluster user rights and only idle computing cluster resources (i.e. the resources that are not employed by other cluster users) are used. We describe the CluBORun tool implementing this technology for BOINC-based volunteer computing projects. The CluBORun tool was successfully applied to boost the performance of volunteer computing projects SAT@home and OPTIMA@home.
