We study entanglement and multiphoton transitions in a system of coupled superconducting flux qubits under the action of an alternating drving field (the frequency of the external field is much higher than the frequency of qubit transitions). The positions of multiphoton transitions are found within the framework of the quasi-energy representation and the Floquet perturbation theory. It is shown that by tuning the external control field, it is possible to control the positions of the resonances and the measure of entanglement in the system. The influence of dissipation processes on multiphoton interference effects is studied. © 2021 IEEE.

The problem of programmed control of the spacecraft attitude, including in worstcase situations of on-board equipment failures, is considered. During a programmed reorientation (traditionally, by solving an inverse problem of dynamics) there arise singular states of the gyrosystem that interrupt the process and require additional resources to reconfigure the gyroscope frames. A technique is proposed, which is not subject to these drawbacks, does not need an a priori specification of the phase trajectory and is based on a sequential linearization and controllability of the system. To ensure fault-tolerance of the control, a new method of knowledge-based control is suggested, which relies on an original, high-performance logical formalism and an advanced architecture of logic-dynamic control. Example of the application of methods of fault-tolerance control is considered.

The paper extends an impulsive control-theoretical framework towards dynamical systems in the space of measures. We consider a transport equation describing the time-evolution of a conservative "mass" (probability measure), which represents an infinite ensemble of interacting particles. The driving vector field contains nonlocal terms and is affine in control variable. The control is assumed to be common for all the agents, i.e., it is a function of time variable only. The main feature of the addressed model is the admittance of "shock" impacts, i.e. controls, which can be arbitrary close in their influence on each an agent to Dirac-type distributions. We construct an impulsive relaxation of this system and of the corresponding optimal control problem. We propose a new approach to creating a subject-oriented distributed computing environment. Such an environment is used to support decision-making in solving relevant problems of ensuring energy systems resilience. The proposed approach is based on the idea of advancing and integrating the following important capabilities in supercomputer engineering: continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of the system and applied software, high-performance computing in heterogeneous environments, multi-agent intelligent computation planning and resource allocation, big data processing and geo-information servicing for subject information, including weakly structured data, and decision-making support. This combination of capabilities and their advancing are unique to the subject domain under consideration, which is related to combinatorial studying critical objects of energy systems. Evaluation of decision-making alternatives is carrying out through applying combinatorial modeling and multi-criteria selection rules. The Orlando Tools framework is used as the basis for an integrated software environment. It implements a flexible modular approach to the development of scientific applications (distributed applied software packages).

In the late sixties, N. Shor and B. Polyak independently proposed optimal first-order methods for solving non-smooth convex optimization problems. In 1982 A. Nemirovski proposed optimal first-order methods for solving smooth convex optimization problems, which utilized auxiliary line search. In 1985 A. Nemirovski and Yu. Nesterov proposed a parametric family of optimal first-order methods for solving convex optimization problems with intermediate smoothness. In 2013 Yu. Nesterov proposed a universal gradient method which combined all good properties of the previous methods, except the possibility of using auxiliary line search. One can typically observe that in practice auxiliary line search improves performance for many tasks. In this paper, we propose the apparently first such method of non-smooth convex optimization allowing the use of the line search procedure. Moreover, it is based on the universal gradient method, which does not require any a priori information about the actual degree of smoothness of the problem. Numerical experiments demonstrate that the proposed method is, in some cases, considerably faster than Nesterov's universal gradient method.90C25, 68Q25 Copyright © 2017, The Authors. Hybrid mechanical systems with switched force fields, whose motions are described by differential second-order equations are considered. We propose two approaches to solving problems of analysis of stability and stabilization of an equilibrium position of the named systems. The first approach is based on the decomposition of an original system of differential equations into two systems of the same dimension but of the first order. The second approach is in direct specifying a construction of a general Lyapunov function for a mechanical system with switching. © 2011 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

In this paper, we address cloud VoIP scheduling strategies to provide appropriate levels of quality of service to users, and cost to VoIP service providers. This bi-objective focus is reasonable and representative for real installations and applications. We conduct comprehensive simulation on real data of twenty three on-line non-clairvoyant scheduling strategies with fixed threshold of utilization to request VMs, and twenty strategies with dynamic prediction of the load. We show that our load-aware with predictions strategies outperform the known ones providing suitable quality of service and lower cost. The robustness of these strategies is also analyzed varying VM startup time delays to deal with realistic VoIP cloud environments.

The article is devoted to solving the problem of identifying issues in the field of regional tourism. To solve this task, the method of aspect-based analysis of reviews of tourist objects using of large language models and prompt-engineering has been developed and implemented. Accommodation facilities, dining establishments, services and attractions are considered as tourist objects. The reviews are obtained from tourist information aggregators using web-scraping method. The initial dataset consisted of 1300 tourist reviews. A large language model, Saiga2, with 70 billion parameters was chosen for the implementation of prompt engineering. The problem analysis task was divided into subtasks of extracting and classifying facts (advantages and disadvantages). For each subtask, prompts have been developed with an indication of the role, a description of classes and examples of solutions. The description of classes is based on the literature analysis of issues in tourism. The method is implemented on the Yandex. Cloud platform, tested and validated to search for accommodation facilities satisfying tourist's requests for Olkhon Island. The results of the method's accuracy evaluation are described using metrics f1, micro f1, macro f1 and weighted f1. To test the proposed method validation, tests describing information about different categories of tourists were developed. The performance of the method was evaluated by comparing the solutions provided by the tourism expert and the created method implementation. The experiment showed 80 percent coincidence of the solutions. The method is planned to be implemented in the service of regional tourism monitoring of the Baikal region.

Precise and accurate online monitoring methods are needed to enable smart biomanufacturing and automation. Most of the sensors available focus on process parameters such as metabolite and dissolved gas concentrations, cell density or viability, among other variables like pH, temperature, etc. In this work, we develop a soft sensor algorithm to estimate the cell composition online, a very important aspect often overlooked in the bioprocess monitoring literature. Our strategy is based on full information estimation, an optimization-based estimator that takes into account the dynamics of the cell metabolism and considers all the available measurements from the beginning of the process, thus it has a memory effect. Being able to track dynamic changes in cell composition can open the door to promising applications, e.g., predictive control and automation of biosystems. As a case study, we consider the Escherichia coli's metabolism growing on glycerol under different levels of oxygen supply. We compare the performance of our soft sensor method against resource balance analysis, a previously proposed estimator based on steady-state assumptions. Overall, the presented full information estimator was able to track the dynamic changes in cell composition significantly more accurately. We also discuss how our estimation strategy can be transformed into a moving horizon estimation, where only the available measurements in a fixed and moving window are considered, thereby reducing possible computational burdens.
