A distributed data warehouse system is one of the actual issues in the field of astroparticle physics. Famous experiments, such as TAIGA, KASCADE-Grande, produce tens of terabytes of data measured by their instruments. It is critical to have a smart data warehouse system on-site to store the collected data for further distribution effectively. It is also vital to provide scientists with a handy and user-friendly interface to access the collected data with proper permissions not only on-site but also online. The latter case is handy when scientists need to combine data from different experiments for analysis. In this work, we describe an approach to implementing a distributed data warehouse system that allows scientists to acquire just the necessary data from different experiments via the Internet on demand. The implementation is based on CernVM-FS with additional components developed by us to search through the whole available data sets and deliver their subsets to users' computers. A problem of flexible geographical data representation and Web-based visualization is considered. The data stored in a knowledge graph as ontologies (vocabularies) in accordance to W3C standards. For viewing data, a web geographical information system (GIS) application is realized, which renders map interpreting SPARQL queries to Sematic Web server storing the knowledge graph. The technologies used for designing are based on contemporary Web 3.0, allowing one to implement Linked Open Data (LOD) compliance for GIS information publishing and integration. © 2021 Copyright for this paper by its authors.

In this paper we propose an algorithm for enumerating diagonal Latin squares of small order. It relies on specific properties of diagonal Latin squares to employ symmetry breaking techniques, and on several heuristic optimizations and bit arithmetic techniques to make use of computational power of state-of-the-art CPUs. Using this approach we enumerated diagonal Latin squares of order at most 9, and vertically symmetric diagonal Latin squares of order at most 10. Copyright © 2017, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Nowadays methods and software for extracting tables from document images and portable documents (PDF) continue to be actively developed. One of the promising approaches to this task is the usage of fine-tuned object detection models. However, this approach involves many manipulations with data preparation and training process configuration. This paper proposes an automated workflow for fine-tuning deep neural network models for the table detection in document images. It enables us to automate two sub-tasks: (i) preparing a training dataset in the PascalVOC format with image transformation and augmentation; (ii) training a table detection model by using the well-known Faster R-CNN architecture. Implementation of the workflow design simplifies the use of the approach proposed by decreasing the number of required manipulations.

Automated timetabling is a challenging area in the timetabling and scheduling theory and practice, intensively addressed in research papers in the last two decades. There are three main classes of problems, which are usually studied: school timetabling, course timetabling and examination timetabling. In this report, we address a case study of the Curriculum-Based Course Timetabling (CB-CTT) problem, arising at Engineering Department of Sannio University. In general, the problem consists of finding a feasible weekly assignment of course lectures to rooms and time periods while respecting a wide range of constraints, which have to be either strictly satisfied (hard constraints) or satisfied as much as possible (soft constraints). The case study here addressed here has many special requirements due to local organizational rules. We were able to model the complex requirements by an Integer Programming formulation. The solution approach consists of using an MIP solver, integrated with two local branching heuristics tailored for the problem. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is illustrated by the computational results on two real instances. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Intrinsic multipole moments of the non-Gaussian wave packets

The charged wave packets with non-Gaussian spatial profiles are shown to possess intrinsic multipole moments. The magnetic dipole moment and the electric quadrupole moment are found for a wide class of the packets, including the vortex electrons with orbital angular momentum l, the Airy beams, the so-called Schrödinger's cat states, and their generalizations. For the packets with no phase vortices, the electric quadrupole moment is shown to grow quadratically with the packet's width, |Qaß| ∼ e • s?2 , while it is also |l| times enhanced for the vortex beams. For available beams of electron microscopes, these multipole moments are relatively easily adjusted and can be quite large, which affects the packets' electromagnetic fields and also allows one to develop new diagnostic tools for materials science, atomic and molecular physics, nuclear physics, and so forth. Abstract. We consider problem of Quality Management system (QMS) development for Irkutsk Regional Oncological Dispancery. The system is intended to organize the process management of medical treatment according to the standard ISO 9001:2015. QMS software subsystems are synthesized as a result of a logical inference of a set of subgoals (a scenario) with a hierarchy of modules represented in the LogTalk programming language within Model Driven Architecture (MDA) paradigm. The source Computational Independent Model is represented as a set of BPMN2.0, SysML and CMMN diagrams. The models are imported and stored as ontology A-boxes on an ontology server. The models are transformed into Platform Specific Models with following source code and initial data population. Additional data for the transformation are provided from Linked Open Data compliant sources. Usage of such kind of MDA allows us to develop QMS on the abstract model level in most cases and involve domain specialist in the formal part of the development. Rengineering business processes of the medical institution should result in patient treatment quality improvement, as well as formalizing the processes, giving ideas for automation, data accumulation and processing. © 2018 CEUR-WS. Modeling of a RF Surgical Generator based on a Push-Pull Oscillator

To reduce manufacturing costs, a new simple radio frequency (RF) surgical generator based on a push-pull oscillator is developed for cutting tissue. In order to systematically design and test feedback controllers keeping the generator’s output voltage constant, we will present two different models of the considered RF generator. The first one is a nonlinear state space model derived using the generator’s equivalent circuit diagram and Kirchhoff’s laws and the second one is a Hammerstein model. The models are based on physical principles and are successfully validated on a generator prototype, ensuring a good match with the static and dynamic behavior of the considered RF generator. The obtained state space model is well suited to simulate the RF generator, while the Hammerstein model is appropriate to design controllers for the generator’s output voltage.

Application of HUBzero platform for the educational process in astroparticle physics

In the frame of the Karlsruhe-Russian Astroparticle Data Life Cycle Initiative it was proposed to deploy an educational resource *** for the training of students in the field of astroparticle physics. This resource is based on HUBzero, which is an open-source software platform for building powerful websites, which supports scientific discovery, learning, and collaboration. HUBzero has been deployed on the servers of matrosov institute for system dynamics and control theory. The educational resource *** is being filled with the information covering cosmic messengers, astroparticle physics experiments and educational courses and schools on astroparticle physics. Furthermore, the educational resource *** can be used for online collaboration.
