Currently, a resource allocation issue in a high-performance computing environment is still a challenge. Its solution enables us to improve large spectrum criteria. Among them are the time, cost, reliability and other parameters of problem-solving by end-users. High computational complexity related to optimal solving this issue through the hard search among all scenarios of the resource allocation. At the same time, we can apply knowledge-based heuristic approaches to obtain satisfactory sub-optimal solutions. Applying a multi-agent technology is one such approach. In the paper, we propose a multi-agent model of resource allocation in a high-performance computing environment in the job flow processing. We suppose that such job flows are generated by distributed applied software package. A high-performance computing environment is based on the resources of a public access supercomputer center. In such conditions, we compare traditional meta-schedulers (GridWay and Condor DAGMan) and our multi-agent system in terms of the effectiveness of job flow management. We provide the experimental results that obviously show advantages of the proposed multi-agent management in speedup and efficiency of computations, processor load, and its balancing.

This paper presents the latest results derived from addressing the problem of computing program controls of the modes of operation in nonlinear systems. We prove the good conditionality (well-posedness) of the algorithms that numerically realize a new, direct method of problem solving. The qualitative property of the good conditionality of these algorithms provides a basis for nonsensitivity (robustness) of "direct" controls to parameter perturbations. The results reported here suggest a high practical efficiency of the technology developed by the authors, which constitutes a working tool for designing open controlsystems ensuring the prescribed accuracy of realization of the assigned program without invoking in control actions information about current measurements of perturbations.

The paper presents an approach to constructing plans for a group of Lego MindStorm robots, moving small blocks to the target area. The approach is based on non-Horn logical programming in the original first-order language of positively constructed formulas (PCF). A description of the PCF formalism is given, an example of solving a problem of constructing action plans for a group of three robots is presented. Unlike other modern approaches to planning action in robotics, our approach is distinguished by a great expressiveness of means for representing knowledge in the system and about the environment.
