Nowadays, applying various market-based methods for regulating supply and demand of resources for distributed computing is becoming increasingly relevant. In particular, different forms of standard auctions are actively used. However, their basic capabilities often do not enable to fully solve the complicated problems of resource allocation in a heterogeneous distributed computing environment. In this regard, a tender of computational works based on a combinatorial Vickrey auction has been designed. It is applied within multi-agent computing management. For the tender, new models are proposed to rank the criteria of resources owners and users. The tender use advantages are shown in comparison with traditional meta-schedulers. The paper addresses issues of continuous integration in the development of scientific applications based on workflows (special case of distributed applied software packages) for heterogeneous computing environments. The preparation and carrying out of scientific computational experiments are often accompanied by intensive software modification. Thus, there is a need for the following stages: building, testing, debugging, and installation new versions of software in heterogeneous nodes of environment. These stages may take longer time overheads than computations themselves. The solution to this challenge lies in the use of tools for continuous integration of software. However, such tools require deep integration with the tools for the workflow development because of scientific workflow specifics. To this end, the paper describes the combination of the author's Orlando Tools framework for the development and use packages with the GitLab system that is widely used for continuous integration. Such combination significantly reduces the complexity of software continuous when developing and using packages. Copyright © 2020 for this paper by its authors. The paper considers the problem of forest resources monitoring over large areas on the example of the Baikal natural territory. As the main data source, we use Sentinel-2 remote sensing data due to their regularity, broad coverage, multispectral parameters of the resulting image. The Random forest and Support Vector Machines (SVM) machine learning algorithms were used to classify land cover from the Sentinel-2 products. Both methods have shown good results with a fairly high accuracy. The training was carried out with data labeled manually into 12 classes. © 2021 Copyright for this paper by its authors.

In recent years, a significant amount of research is focused on the development of tools for creating composite web-services for solving both business and scientific complex problems. This study discusses tools for building compositions or ensembles of microservices (depending on the method of integration) developed based on the HPCSOMAS framework. These tools are oriented on the application in a package of applied microservices for solving computationally complex problems of structural analysis and parametric synthesis of controlled dynamic systems in a heterogeneous high-performance computing environment. In particular, binary dynamic systems are studied using the Boolean constraint method for both their qualitative analysis and synthesis of laws to control these systems. Creating and executing composite services is carried out on a semantic peer-to-peer network of agents. The HPCSOMAS framework supports two modes of these processes, both the static creation and application of a composite service based on the procedural formulation of the problem and dynamic, based on the declarative formulation. In the first case, agents deployed on the network perform hierarchical control over the execution of the composition of microservices, in the second case, decentralized asynchronous management of the ensemble of microservices. Both operating modes are automated, and the validity of the resulting composite service is checked based on a logical approach. The tools are aimed both at a professional programmer and the end-user, a specialist in the subject domain. The HPCSOMAS framework supports the execution of composite microservices in a hybrid computing infrastructure, which includes both cloud and on-premises resources. The paper considers the main ideas of proposed computational technology for scenario modeling and forecasting the development of the national fuel and energy complexes of Russia and Mongolia, regarding to the intercountry trade in fuel and energy resources. The proposing technology exploits the ideas of multi-agent systems (MASs) and agent-based simulation models (ABSMs) as they can act as unifying means for different types of decision-making methods by distributed objects. Methodological principles and architecture for ABSM of the national fuel and energy complexes of Russia and Mongolia were proposed. The implementation issues of the model in the Adskit software tool is discussed. The problem of laying routes of extended energy objects is also considered. Based on the principles of geometric optics the author's solution algorithm in the form of a special case of the variational problem was proposed to deal with this problem. The application of MAS and ABSM paradigms for forecasting and evaluating the state of the fuel and energy sector in Russia and Mongolia allows one to organize a step-by-step research of the energy system with the gradual development of the model: Increasing the types of objects and agents;improving decision-making algorithms, including those based on mathematical models;creating complex scenarios. The technology forms methodological basis for supporting decision-making process of evaluation the prospective variants of bilateral energy cooperation of Russia and Mongolia and related project effectiveness. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2020.

The paper describes the cloud service of ISDCT sb ras for machine learning research. The introduction discusses the relevance of creating a service. Further, the theoretical part is considered, which describes the component of the services and the principle of their interaction. The paper illustrates an application of the recently developed method of dealing with controlled automata-based discrete event systems with the help of logical inference. The method based on the calculus of positively constructed formulas is extended on the case of systems built out of sets of modules. Specifications restricting system behavior are also supposed to be modular. Due to the special features of the calculus of positively constructed formulas, it may be applied at the upper level of a robot group control system. Inverting Cryptographic Hash Functions via Cube-and-Conquer

MD4 and MD5 are fundamental cryptographic hash functions proposed in the early 1990s. MD4 consists of 48 steps and produces a 128-bit hash given a message of arbitrary finite size. MD5 is a more secure 64-step extension of MD4. Both MD4 and MD5 are vulnerable to practical collision attacks, yet it is still not realistic to invert them, i.e., to find a message given a hash. In 2007, the 39-step version of MD4 was inverted by reducing to SAT and applying a CDCL solver along with the so-called Dobbertin’s constraints. As for MD5, in 2012 its 28-step version was inverted via a CDCL solver for one specified hash without adding any extra constraints. In this study, Cube-and-Conquer (a combination of CDCL and lookahead) is applied to invert step-reduced versions of MD4 and MD5. For this purpose, two algorithms are proposed. The first one generates inverse problems for MD4 by gradually modifying the Dobbertin’s constraints. The second algorithm tries the cubing phase of Cube-and-Conquer with different cutoff thresholds to find the one with the minimum runtime estimate of the conquer phase. This algorithm operates in two modes: (i) estimating the hardness of a given propositional Boolean formula;(ii) incomplete SAT solving of a given satisfiable propositional Boolean formula. While the first algorithm is focused on inverting step-reduced MD4, the second one is not area-specific and is therefore applicable to a variety of classes of hard SAT instances. In this study, 40-, 41-, 42-, and 43-step MD4 are inverted for the first time via the first algorithm and the estimating mode of the second algorithm. Also, 28-step MD5 is inverted for four hashes via the incomplete SAT solving mode of the second algorithm. For three hashes out of them, it is done for the first time. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. The contribution of axial-vector mesons to the muon’s anomalous magnetic moment through a light-by-light process is considered within a nonlocal quark model. The model is based on a four-quark interaction with scalar–pseudoscalar and vector–axial-vector sectors. While the transverse component of the axial-vector corresponds to a spin-1 particle, the unphysical longitudinal component is mixed with a pseudoscalar meson. The model parameters are re-fitted to the pion properties in the presence of π − a1 mixing. The obtained estimation for the light-by-light contribution of a1 + f1 mesons is (3.6 ± 1.8) · 10−11 Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The study outlines the concept of the structure of heat sources of developing heating systems and states the problem of searching through structures of heat sources of maximum redundancy for the optimal one. As one of the techniques of solving this problem, the authors propose to split the process of designing heating systems into multiple stages. Within the scope of the above-stated problem, the difficult part is the need to create an automated system to solve the entirety of problems arising at these stages and to reconcile them with each other. We provide a brief overview of the the available software package that we propose to integrate into the process of solving and we underline the complex nature of the interaction of individual software components between each other. The authors propose an approach in the form of the computational experiment setup that enables to consistently coordinate computational procedures with each other. The approach is based on the concept of the energy hub as its theoretical backbone, while in terms of the software implementation it is an instance of an automated information system. © 2020 IOP Publishing Ltd.
