The paper addresses relevant issues applying the concept of Industry 4.0 in related to modeling infrastructure objects at the Baikal natural territory that use environmentally friendly technologies. In particular, the use of heat pumps belongs to such technologies, since this enables us to reduce air emissions. Object models are designed on the basis of their digital twins. Digital twins are intended to reflect the structure and processes of object functioning. In addition, we plan to delegate them the decision-making in managing these objects in real-time. Such a digital twin has to become smarter over time. This virtual entity has to gain knowledge and skills to select optimal scenarios for controlling object and improving its functioning parameters. Therefore, the initial problem in its development is creating a monitoring system for the collection, unification, aggregation, storage, and transmission of subject-oriented data. Such data include information about the object operation and environmental state. The data must be promptly obtained from peripheral equipment (controlling and measuring devices). For the effective operation of a digital twin, we have to partially transfer functions of primary data processing, their intellectual analysis and decision-making to the controlling and measuring devices. In this paper, we develop new methods of local and global search for finding optimistic solutions to the hierarchical problem of optimal pricing in telecommunication networks. These methods are based on the fact that a bilevel optimization problem can be equivalently represented as a nonconvex optimization problem (with the help of the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions and the penalty approach). To solve the resulting nonconvex problem, we apply the Global Search theory (GST).Computational testing of the developed methods on a test problem demonstrated workability and efficiency of the approach proposed. © Springer International Publishing AG, part of Springer Nature 2018.

We offer a specialized toolkit for automating both knowledge management when creating an applied microservices package and data accumulating during its application for scientific computations in a hybrid computing environment. The decentralized solving of the declaratively formulated problem is carried out by an active agent group. This group is self-organized by logical inference on the distributed knowledge base of a subject domain. The developed toolkit automates the creating and updating of the local knowledge base of the manager-agent of applied microservices package, as well as the local knowledge bases of distributed computational agents. Local knowledge bases are formed using a description of the interface of computational microservices managed by these agents. Microservice ensembles, corresponding to the active group, are stored in the knowledge base of the manager-agent. The developed toolkit uses this information for testing microservice in the case of its update. In hybrid computing, this toolkit provides synchronizing, archiving, and saving of calculated data. Hybrid infrastructure combines the reliability and availability of using on-premises computers with scaling to the cloud when peak loads occur. The paper presents the concept of a software complex for solving interdisciplinary problems based on self-organization features. In particular, the basic principles and stages of self-organization process during solving an interdisciplinary problems of designing complex technical systems, as well as the architecture of proposed software along with some details of implementation are considered. The architecture of the software complex includes subject and problem ontologies, data and knowledge bases, set of "solvers" as well as intelligent scheduler. The intelligent scheduler implements the self-organization algorithm and provides creation the computing environment for solving considered problem using "solvers" as a buildings blocks. The implementation of self-organizing algorithm base on combination of knowledge representation as an ontologies, group decision-making, component and model-oriented approaches. Self-organization features in context of designing complex technical systems task are implemented on the stages of defining the design methodology, determining the source data, solving the problem, and training the system. The intelligent scheduler can analyze the state of current task with set of indicators and manage it through a set of local rules. This paper presents examples of local rules for each stage. The stages specifications in the form of technological diagrams that contains components used ("solvers"), their connections along with the results of their work describe the self-organization process features related to each stage. The software implementation are based on the capabilities of the used platform for creating knowledge-based systems developed by the authors and component approach applied to specialized component development. © 2020 for this paper by its authors. The paper considers functional-differential equations of pointwise type (FDEPT) which includes differential equations with delay, that lead to solution and both at once. In the paper, we propose a technology for solving boundary value problems for nonlinear FDEPT systems which is based on the Ritz method and spline collocation approaches. To solve the problem, we discretize system trajectories on the constant step grid and formulate the generalized residual functional, including both weighted residuals of the original differential equation and resid- uals of boundary conditions. Results of computational experiments for FDEPT make it possible to verify the effectiveness of the proposed technique for investigating problems. © Copyright by the paper's authors.

The paper addresses a relevant problem of computation scheduling in scientific applications (distributed applied software packages) executed in distributed environments. Forming an optimal schedule of jobs for executing of applied software (modules) is an NP-hard problem. Therefore, in practice, heuristic methods of scheduling are often used. In this regard, we propose a new static-dynamic algorithm for managing computations in heterogeneous distributed environments. The results of operating the proposed algorithm are simulated in comparison with other scenarios for computing management. They show that applying the algorithm makes it possible to achieve a rational balance between the scheduling time and the computations makespan. © 2021 for this paper by its authors. Though clustering is related to unsupervised machine learning and does not require any prior information on data items, in many real-life settings, there may be some expert knowledge on data labels or the properties of clusters known in advance. Obviously, such knowledge may be used to guide clustering process and improve the quality of found partitions. The clustering problems that involve some additional information on tags are called semi-supervised or constrained clustering problems. One distinguishes instance-level and cluster-level constraints usually formalized as the so-called must-link and cannot-link constraints or minimum/maximum cluster size. In this paper, we consider the constrained minimum sum-of-squares (k-means) clustering (MSSC) problem that incorporates both instance- and cluster-level constraints. As far as we know, such a semi-supervised MSSC problem has not been considered in the literature yet. We formulate this clustering problem and some of its particular cases as DC (difference of convex) optimization problems. Then, we develop a solution approach based on a special local search method. We carry out computational experiments on test problem instances demonstrating the efficiency of the proposed solution approach. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The paper addresses issues of continuous integration in the development of scientific applications based on workflows (special case of distributed applied software packages) for heterogeneous computing environments. The preparation and carrying out of scientific computational experiments are often accompanied by intensive software modification. Thus, there is a need for the following stages: building, testing, debugging, and installation new versions of software in heterogeneous nodes of environment. These stages may take longer time overheads than computations themselves. The solution to this challenge lies in the use of tools for continuous integration of software. However, such tools require deep integration with the tools for the workflow development because of scientific workflow specifics. To this end, the paper describes the combination of the author's Orlando Tools framework for the development and use packages with the GitLab system that is widely used for continuous integration. Such combination significantly reduces the complexity of software continuous when developing and using packages. Copyright © 2020 for this paper by its authors. Nowadays, applying various market-based methods for regulating supply and demand of resources for distributed computing is becoming increasingly relevant. In particular, different forms of standard auctions are actively used. However, their basic capabilities often do not enable to fully solve the complicated problems of resource allocation in a heterogeneous distributed computing environment. In this regard, a tender of computational works based on a combinatorial Vickrey auction has been designed. It is applied within multi-agent computing management. For the tender, new models are proposed to rank the criteria of resources owners and users. The tender use advantages are shown in comparison with traditional meta-schedulers.
