In rehabilitation training,it is crucial to consider the compatibility between exoskeletons and human legs in ***,most exoskeletons today adopt an anthropomorphic serial structure,which results in rotational centers that are not precisely aligned with the center of the hip *** address this issue,we introduce a novel exoskeleton called the Parallel Hip Exoskeleton(PH-Exo)in this ***-Exo is meticulously designed based on the anisotropic law of output *** the friction of the drive components,a dynamic model of the human-machine complex is *** analysis demonstrates that PH-Exo not only exhibits outstanding torque performance but also achieves high controllability in both flexion/extension and adduction/abduction ***,a robust controller is designed to address model uncertainty,friction,and external *** experiments indicate that under the control of the robust controller,each motor achieves excellent tracking performance.

Gas-phase polyethylene(PE)processes are among the most important methods for PE production.A deeper understanding of the process characteristics and dynamic behavior,such as properties of PE and reactor stability,holds substantial interest for both academic researchers and *** this study,both steady-state and dynamic models for a gas-phase polyethylene process are established as a simulation platform,which can be used to study a variety of operation tasks for commercial solution polyethylene processes,such as new product development,process control and real-time *** copolymerization kinetic parameters are fitted by industrial ***,a multi-reactor series model is developed to characterize the temperature distribution within the fluidized bed *** accuracy in predicting melt index and density of the polymer,and the dynamic behavior of the developed models are verified by real plant ***,the dynamic simulation platform is applied to compare four practical control schemes for reactor temperature by a series of simulation experiments,since temperature control is important in industrial *** results reveal that all four schemes effectively track the setpoint ***,only the demineralized water temperature cascade control demonstrates excellent performance in handling disturbances from both the recycle gas subsystem and the heat exchange subsystem.

Reinforcement Learning-Based Resource Reservation for Mobile Edge Computing With Probable Failure

Mobile edge computing (MEC) has increasingly been propelled into the spotlight as a promising paradigm to address the growing demand for latency-sensitive mobile applications. The practical challenges associated with deploying and maintaining traditional edge service devices highlight the attraction of leveraging end devices as edge servers. Yet, the inherent mobility and power constraints of such servers make them prone to failure. As an effective strategy, some edge servers are earmarked to mitigate probable failure, which may cause resource redundancy. In this paper, a novel partial resource reservation scheme is proposed to diminish this waste, each edge server in system reserves a part of their resources to defend probable failure. The approach directs reservation actions towards the individual resources, rather than the entirety of edge servers. Given that edge servers serve as key participants within the system, it is imperative to optimize overall income by carefully balancing incurred costs and generated benefits. We investigate this partial resource reservation problem from the perspective of edge servers, and transform it into Markov decision process (MDP). A scheme that fomulates strategies for edge servers then been proposed, called Q-learning-based resource reservation (QLRR), which can accommodate the dynamic nature of edge server failure. Empirical evaluations demonstrate that our proposed scheme outperforms existing benchmark schemes, significantly enhancing the income of edge servers. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

Recent Advances in Optimization Design and Performance Analysis of Vortex Pumps

Background: The vortex pump is a type of sewage pump renowned for its non-clogging performance. As the vortex pump has a special structure type, there are many vortex structures in the volute and impeller flow channel, which reduce the efficiency of the vortex pump. Reducing the energy loss and improving the efficiency of the vortex pump has been one of the main research objectives of designers. In this paper, the research progress of vortex pumps is summarized from the two aspects of transporting solid medium and low efficiency, which can provide a reference for future research. Methods: The latest patents and papers on vortex pumps were collected. The solid-liquid flow characteristics from the experimental and numerical perspectives, the influence of geometric parameters on external characteristics, and optimization design methods of the vortex pump were studied. Results: The particles, fibers, and cloth in the vortex pump will become trapped and blocked in the cavity. And the geometric parameters have an obvious effect on the pump. By using the intelligent optimization algorithm to optimize the impeller parameters, the pump efficiency can be increased by 10.25% under large flow conditions and the effective blade shear stress. Conclusion: The concentration and diameter of particles could change the performance of the pump. The retention and plugging of the solid medium in the vortex pump are related to flow structure and backflow. Appropriate geometric parameters should be selected when designing a vortex pump. Too large or too small a structure design will lead to poor performance of the vortex pump. This can be combined with intelligent optimization algorithms for pump design, which is a very effective method. © 2023 Bentham Science Publishers.

A mixed oxidant of chlorine dioxide(ClO_(2))and NaClO was often used in water treatment.A novel UVA-LED(_(365) nm)-activated mixed ClO_(2)/NaClO process was proposed for the degradation of micropollutants in this ***(CBZ)was selected as the target *** with the UVA_(365)/ClO_(2) process,the UVA_(365)/ClO_(2)/NaClO process can improve the degradation of CBZ,with the rate constant increasing from 2.11×10^(−4) sec^(−1) to 2.74×10^(−4) sec^(−1).In addition,the consumption of oxidants in the UVA_(365)/ClO_(2)/NaClO process(73.67%)can also be lower than that of UVA_(365)/NaClO(86.42%).When the NaClO ratio increased,both the degradation efficiency of CBZ and the consumption of oxidants can increase in the UVA_(365)/ClO_(2)/NaClO *** solution pH can affect the contribution of NaClO in the total oxidant *** the pH range of 6.0-8.0,the combination process can generate more active species to promote the degradation of *** change of active species with oxidant molar ratio was investigated in the UVA_(365)/ClO_(2)/NaClO *** ClO_(2) acted as the main oxidant,HO·and Cl·were the main active species,while when NaClO was the main oxidant,ClO·played a role in the *** chloride ion(Cl^(-)),bicarbonate ion(HCO_(3)^(-)),and nitrate ion(NO_(3)^(-))can promote the reaction *** the concentration of NaClO in the reaction solution increased,the generation of chlorates will *** UVA_(365)/ClO_(2)/NaClO process can effectively control the formation of volatile disinfection by-products(DBPs),and with the increase of ClO_(2) dosage,the formation of DBPs can also decrease.

Adaptive control of a Flexible Manipulator With Unknown Hysteresis and Intermittent Actuator Faults

In this study, we consider a single-link flexible manipulator in the presence of an unknown Bouc-Wen type of hysteresis and intermittent actuator faults. First, an inverse hysteresis dynamics model is introduced, and then the control input is divided into an expected input and an error compensator. Second,a novel adaptive neural network-based control scheme is proposed to cancel the unknown input hysteresis. Subsequently,by modifying the adaptive laws and local control laws, a fault-tolerant control strategy is applied to address uncertain intermittent actuator faults in a flexible manipulator system. Through the direct Lyapunov theory, the proposed scheme allows the state errors to asymptotically converge to a specified interval. Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed scheme is verified through numerical simulations and experiments.

Spatial Coordination of Multiple Nonholonomic Agents With Sensory Connectivity Maintenance

This article aims to propose a general control strategy for coordination of multiple nonholonomic agents in three dimensional space. For real-world applications, since the field sensor equipped on the mobile agents for local information detection and estimation has some limited detecting range, it is necessary to guarantee that the nearby agents must stay within this range of the onboard sensor. This is called sensory connectivity maintenance. A function termed as coordination function with sensory connectivity maintenance (CFSCM) is defined to describe the performances of the coordination as well as the sensory connectivity status between the agents. Then, a general control strategy is designed based on the proposed CFSCM for spatial coordination of multiple nonholonomic agents with sensory connectivity maintenance. Moreover, the applications of the proposed control strategy for formation with omnidirectional sensors and flocking with directional sensors are shown, respectively. Finally, some numerical examples are conducted to validate the theoretical analysis. © 2013 IEEE.

Asian citrus psyllid(ACP,Diaphorina citri)is the major vector of Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus(CLas),which is a bacterial pathogen causing the devastating citrus Huanglongbing(HLB)*** citri is known to carry CLas in a persistent and propagative *** studies have suggested that CLas may use the vesicular structures of *** cells as its propagation ***,the mechanisms by which CLas enters the *** cells and how vesicle-mediated trafficking is involved remain *** this study,we monitored the titer change of CLas in *** nymphs during the process of CLas acquisition from feeding on infected citrus *** found that the titer of CLas increased with the acquisition access *** infection,there was a significant upregulation in the expression of several vesicular transport-related genes in *** titer of CLas was significantly reduced in the midgut and whole insect body when endocytosis and the endosome network in *** were ***,silencing the *** clathrin-heavy chain gene also led to a reduction in the CLas titer in *** results suggest that CLas infection upregulates the genes related to vesicular transport in ***,which facilitates the invasion of endocytosis-dependent pathogens.
