Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is very sensitive to frequency offset. Although the existence of integer frequency offset in OFDM will not destroy the orthogonality between subcarriers, it will cause a cyclic shift of the frequency domain data after FFT transformation at the receiving end, which will affect the demodulation of data. In this paper, we propose a novel integer frequency offset estimation method based on the similarity property of adjacent subcarriers of the preamble. This method not only guarantees the original accuracy and performance of the conventional method but also achieves less resource consumption and lower computational complexity.

The advancement of millimeter-wave communication technology heralds new sensing capabilities. By leveraging channel multipath parameter estimates, we can harness simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) for precise user equipment (UE) localization and radio map construction in 6 G communication systems. Particularly in multi-UE scenarios, SLAM empowers base stations to amalgamate the local radio maps of various UEs efficiently. This study introduces a novel Bayesian framework specifically designed for multi-UE SLAM, complemented by a tailored factor graph. We also unveil a two-stage multi-UE SLAM algorithm. Our simulation results reveal that this algorithm substantially enhances radio map construction accuracy by $\mathbf{4 8. 5 \%}$ and UE localization accuracy by $13.5 \%$, outperforming single-UE cases. Moreover, the algorithm demonstrates remarkable adaptability to environmental changes, showcasing its potential for long-term evolution in dynamic settings.

The increasing quality of service requirements and demand for satellite services necessitate higher data rates, spectral efficiency, and stability in satellite communication networks. Therefore, this paper investigates the non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) assisted satellite communication networks, where multiple users are uniformly distributed over a spherical hat according to the homogeneous Poisson point process (HPPP). Based on the characteristics of HPPP, we analyze the distance distributions of users. To evaluate the performance of the proposed networks, we first derive the closed-form expressions and approximated expressions of the outage probability (OP) for paired NOMA users. To obtain more insights into the proposed networks, the ergodic rate and diversity orders for paired NOMA users are also derived. Spectral efficiency is derived for NOMA and orthogonal multiple access (OMA) assisted satellite communication networks. Our analytical results demonstrate that the diversity order of the proposed networks is all one. Numerical results confirm that: 1) compared to OMA, the proposed NOMA-assisted satellite network demonstrates superior outage performance and spectral efficiency, especially in the higher power regimes;2) fading factors have negligible effects on OP and spectral efficiency;and 3) under certain target rates for both near and far users, the outage performance of far users in NOMA-assisted satellite communication networks is superior to that of near users. © 2024 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc.. The Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19)is wreaking havoc around the world,bring out that the enormous pressure on national health and medical staff *** of the most effective and critical steps in the fight against COVID-19,is to examine the patient’s lungs based on the Chest X-ray and CT generated by radiation *** this paper,five keras-related deep learning models:ResNet50,InceptionResNetV2,Xception,transfer learning and pre-trained VGGNet16 is applied to formulate an classification-detection approaches of *** benchmark methods SVM(Support Vector Machine),CNN(Conventional Neural Networks)are provided to compare with the classification-detection approaches based on the performance indicators,i.e.,precision,recall,F1 scores,confusion matrix,classification accuracy and three types of AUC(Area Under Curve).The highest classification accuracy derived by classification-detection based on 5857 Chest X-rays and 767 Chest CTs are respectively 84%and 75%,which shows that the keras-related deep learning approaches facilitate accurate and effective COVID-19-assisted detection.

Network Function Virtualization (NFV) which is one of the core technologies plays an important role in reality. NFV permits using Virtual Network Functions (VNF) as software components on top of a virtualization system (i.e., Virtual Machines or Containers) hosted in a cloud, which makes network services and functions deployed in high flexibility and elasticity. Therefore, based on this design concept, in 5G core networks, NRF (Network Repository Function), which was implemented in a server, supports network function of registering and monitoring conditions. It achieves automatic management, selection, and scalability of network function services. In this paper, NRF is deployed in Docker and Kubernetes-based NFV platform in the form of JSON + HTTP/2.0 that supports service discovery function. The performance is tested on a hardware platform, including Network Function (NF) Register, NF Update and NF Deregister. From the testing data, we can find that the NRF in the Docker and Kubernetes-based NFV platform is better than only Docker implemented platform. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Laser nonlinear wave modulation spectroscopy (LNWMS) has been used to detect nonlinear ultrasonic signatures caused by fatigue cracks in materials. The nonlinear feature extraction from the spectral plot plays a significant role in LNWMS. This paper uses the bispectrum to distinguish harmonically related signals which result from nonlinear interactions and to remove those which do not. A feature called bispectrum damage factor (BDF), which is defined as the ratio of the bispectrum peak difference value of the damage and intact signals to the bispectrum peak value of intact signals at frequencies F 1, F 2, is extracted from the bispectral plot to characterize the crack features. The basic premise of the proposed laser nonlinear wave modulation bispectrum (LNWMBS) is that this BDF value will vary regularly as the level of crack-induced nonlinearity increases. A finite element model and a noncontact laser ultrasonic system have been built for LNWMBS measurement. The simulation results show that the BDF value is sensitive to crack depth and angle, and is insensitive to crack length and detecting position. BDF values of reflected Rayleigh waves are positive and approximately linearly increase with an increase of the crack depths in the range of 0.1 λ ∼ 0.6 λ (λ is the corresponding wavelength of adopted frequency);meanwhile, the values of the transmitted waves are negative and decreasing. The BDF values are larger than the crack angle at 90° when they are less than 90°, which is beneficial for crack detection. The proposed LNWMBS technique has been successfully tested for detecting artificial sub-millimeter surface-breaking cracks in aluminum alloy plates and closed fatigue cracks of torque load simulator connection blocks. © 2020 IOP Publishing Ltd.

This paper investigates the performance of reconfigurable intelligent surface assisted two-way non-orthogonal multiple access (RIS-TW-NOMA) networks, where a pair of users exchange their information through a RIS. The influence of imperfect successive interference cancellation on RIS-TW-NOMA is taken into account. To evaluate the potential performance of RIS-TW-NOMA, we derive the exact and asymptotic expressions of outage probability and ergodic rate for a pair of users. Based on the analytical results, the diversity orders and high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) slopes are obtained in the high SNR regime, which are closely related to the number of RIS elements. Additionally, we analyze the system throughput and energy efficiency of RIS-TW-NOMA networks in both delay-limited and delay-tolerant transmission modes. Numerical results indicate that: 1) The outage behaviors and ergodic rate of RIS-TW-NOMA are superior to that of RIS-TW-OMA and two-way relay OMA (TWR-OMA);2) As the number of RIS elements increases, the RIS-TW-NOMA networks are capable of achieving the enhanced outage performance;and 3) By comparing with RIS-TW-OMA and TWR-OMA networks, the energy efficiency and system throughput of RIS-TW-NOMA has obvious advantages. © 2022, CC BY-NC-ND.

Through-the-earth (TTE) communication is of great significance to establish the information transmission with the trapped people at the first time and ensure the smooth flow of information. The complex electromagnetic environment of the terrestrial channel brings many difficulties in wireless signal transmission. This paper proposes an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal design scheme of electrode-based TTE communication. The scheme, which has intense penetration and high reliability, designs the frequency and modulation mode of the subcarrier according to the electromagnetic characteristics of earth channel and noise interference. This paper also provides the results of field experiments to show the performance of this OFDM signal.

Active reconfigurable intelligent surface (ARIS) is a promising way to compensate for multiplicative fading attenuation by amplifying and reflecting event signals to selected users. This paper investigates the performance of ARIS assisted non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) networks over cascaded Nakagami-m fading channels. The effects of hardware impairments (HIS) and reflection coefficients on ARIS-NOMA networks with imperfect successive interference cancellation (ipSIC) and perfect successive interference cancellation (pSIC) are considered. More specifically, we develop new precise and asymptotic expressions of outage probability and ergodic data rate with ipSIC/pSIC for ARIS-NOMA-HIS networks. According to the approximated analyses, the diversity orders and multiplexing gains for couple of non-orthogonal users are attained in detail. Additionally, the energy efficiency of ARIS-NOMA-HIS networks is surveyed in delay-limited and delay-tolerant transmission schemes. The simulation findings are presented to demonstrate that: i) The outage behaviors and ergodic data rates of ARIS-NOMA-HIS networks precede that of ARIS aided orthogonal multiple access (OMA) and passive reconfigurable intelligent surface (PRIS) aided OMA;ii) As the reflection coefficient of ARIS increases, ARIS-NOMA-HIS networks have the ability to provide the strengthened outage performance;and iii) ARIS-NOMA-HIS networks are more energy efficient than ARIS/PRIS-OMA networks and conventional cooperative schemes. Solar energy forecasting methods including artificial neural network (ANN) are mostly for planning large or medium scale grid connected photovoltaic (PV) systems. The small prediction step will cause expensive computational cost with ANN. Using the concept of edge computing (EC), the paper proposes an effective short time step PV energy predicting model I based on ANN and wavelet transformation to reduce the computation costs. Sparse coefficients, which are tried by both different wavelet types and similar day classification, and a few forecast meteorological data are used as inputs to reduces the scale of ANN sharply. The simulation results demonstrate that, when the proposed method processes the whole year data, the proposed ANN model I has low computation complexity and superior precision.
