A High Precision Wireless measurement Method of Rolling Bearing Speed in High Temperature Environment For Aero Engine Application

Aeroengine bearing failure is the leading cause of flame-out in flight. The temperature of the inner race of bearing at high speed is almost 200 ℃. Therefore, accurate bearing internal race speed measurement under high-temperature thermal load is vital to ensure flight safety. In this study, a wireless measurement method of bearing speed was proposed. It measures the bearing inner race speed based on eddy current effect and impedance *** rotating speed of the bearing inner ring is measured by measuring the time gap of a waveform. A bearing speed test platform was built, and multi-group repeatability measurements of bearing speed were performed at 200 ℃ on the platform. The results showed that the measurement method provided excellent stability and accuracy in the range of 0–1000 rpm. The research results have a good prospect in the engineering application of aeroengine bearing surface. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

A critical function of flow cytometry is to count the concentration of blood cells,which helps in the diagnosis of certain ***,the bulky nature of commercial flow cytometers makes such tests only available in hospitals or laboratories,hindering the spread of point-of-care testing(POCT),especially in underdeveloped ***,we propose a smart Palm-size Optofluidic Hematology Analyzer based on a miniature fluorescence microscope and a microfluidic platform to lighten the device to improve its *** gadget has a dimension of 35×30×80 mm and a mass of 39 g,less than 5%of the weight of commercially available flow ***,automatic leukocyte concentration detection has been realized through the integration of image processing and leukocyte counting *** compared the leukocyte concentration measurement between our approach and a hemocytometer using the Passing-Bablok analysis and achieved a correlation coefficient of *** Bland-Altman analysis,we obtained the relationship between their differences and mean measurement values and established 95%limits of agreement,ranging from−0.93×10^(3)to 0.94×10^(3)cells/μ*** anticipate that this device can be used widely for monitoring and treating diseases such as HIV and tumors beyond hospitals.

Multi-perspective digital image correlation method using a single color camera

A novel 3 D digital image correlation(DIC) system based on a single three charge-couple device(3 CCD) color camera is proposed in this paper. Images from three different perspectives are captured by a 3 CCD camera using a reflective-based pseudo-vision system. These images are then separated by the different CCD channels, and the correlation algorithm for the multi-camera DIC system is adopted to evaluate the images. Compared to the conventional multi-camera DIC system, the proposed system is much more compact. In addition, the proposed system has no loss of spatial resolution, compares to the traditional single camera DIC system. The complex surface measurement ability and the measurement accuracy is significantly improved through the use of the multi-camera DIC algorithm. The principle of the proposed system is described in detail as well as the experimental setup. A series of validation tests are performed, and the results are verified with the commercial 3 D-DIC system.

As a high-resolution deep tissue imaging technology, photoacoustic microscopy (PAM) is attracting extensive attention in biomedical studies. PAM has trouble in achieving real-time imaging with the long data acquisition time caused by point-to-point sample mode. In this paper, we propose a sparse photoacoustic microscopy reconstruction method based on matrix nuclear norm minimization. We use random sparse sampling instead of traditional full sampling and regard the sparse PAM reconstruction problem as a nuclear norm minimization problem, which is efficiently solved under alternating direction method of multiplier (ADMM) framework. Results from PAM experiments indicate the proposed method could work well in fast imaging. The proposed method is also be expected to promote the achievement of PAM real-time imaging. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2018.

Cement has long been used as the main cementing material of the artesian paste filling material in the goaf of a mine, giving a generally high strength. However, the cement 'two grinding and one burning' process consumes a lot of energy, which aggravates the greenhouse effect. Therefore, a new type of cementitious material with lower energy consumption and lower emissions is needed. Solid wastes are useless by-products after mining and beneficiation, which are often dry piled in the open air, wasting land resources and polluting the environment. This project studied an alkali-activated mineral powder cementitious material, delineated its internal structure and morphology, and tested its mechanical properties. In a gelling system with 70% mineral powder, 30% Portland cement, 1% sodium silicate and a water-cement ratio of 0.4, the hydration reaction commenced the earliest and the early strength of the test block was the highest. In addition, further increasement in proportion of mineral powder or sodium silicate could not have a positive effect on the early strength of the system.

To solve the problems of missed detection, repeated detection and low precision in the process of subpixel corner point detection of black-and-white checkerboard used for calibrating microscopic devices in complexed industrial environment, a new detection method based on greyscale constraint on the four-neighbourhood diagonal was proposed in the paper. By analysing geometric characteristics of the four-neighbourhood region and the grayscale features in diagonal direction, the SINC greyscale distribution was adopted to constrain corner point position, which realised rapid detection of subpixel corner point. Comparing with the existing methods, in the new method proposed the rate of repeated detection and missed detection decreased by about 20% and 2% respectively, which achieved a high rate of detecting accuracy over 99.9%. Meanwhile, the maximum error of corner point detection lowered from ±0.6pix to ±0.3pix, which showed that precision improved by about 50%. Finally, microscopic calibrating experiments used for micro-hole centring system were carried out. The results show centring error was reduced from 10 μm (before calibration) to 3 μm (after calibration), and centring precision was increased by about 75%. It demonstrated that the new method improved the accuracy and precision effectively, which verified its applicable feasibility of microscopic calibration used in industry spots. © 2019 Institution of Engineering and technology. OGNet: Salient Object Detection with Output-guided Attention Module

Attention mechanisms are widely used in salientobject detection models based on deep learning, which can effectively promote the extraction and utilization of useful information by neural networks. However, most of the existing attention modules used in salient object detection are input with the processed feature map itself, which easily leads to the problem of ‘blind overconfidence’. In this paper, instead of applying the widely used self-attention module, we present an output-guided attention module built with multiscale outputs to overcome the problem of ‘blind overconfidence’. We also construct a new loss function, the intractable area F-measure loss function, which is based on the F-measure of the hard-to-handle area to improve the detection effect of the model in the edge areas and confusing areas of an image. Extensive experiments and abundant ablation studies are conducted to evaluate the effect of our methods and to explore the most suitable structure for the model. Tests on several datasets show that our model performs very well, even though it is very lightweight. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Scattering Properties of Near-Field Evanescent Wave From Medium With Ellipsoidal and Cylindrical Distributions

The evolution properties of the near-field evanescent wave scattered from two particles with the ellipsoidal and cylindrical scattering potentials are studied, respectively. Within the accuracy of the first-order Born approximation, the integrations are derived for the scattered fields from these two kinds of particles. It is found that the resultant scattered intensities are closely related to the scattering potential types. Compared with the ellipsoidal particle, the cylindrical one gives rise to less fluctuations of the scattered intensities. It also is shown that the scattered intensity strongly depends on the z-component of the effective radii and summation indices of both particles. Results indicate that the scattered intensity distribution can be tuned by controlling the Effective Radius of Scattering potentials (ERSPs) and summation indices of the medium. The obtained results are useful for determining the structural parameters of tiny particles and molecules by converting the scattering formulas. © 2016 IEEE.

We present a spatial phase-shift digital speckle patterns interferometry (SPS-DSPI) system with the capability of measuring three-dimensional (3-D) deformations under a dynamic loading condition simultaneously using multiple cameras. The Fourier transform method is utilized to calculate the phase difference. The consistency of different cameras is achieved using digital image correlation (DIC) technology. Calibration and calculation programs are compiled to make sure each subset on the measuring surface is uniform. SPS-DSPI and DIC techniques are combined to provide a direct measurement of the 3-D deformation of the entire surface area simultaneously. The theory, application result, and validation experiment are presented. © 2016 Society of Photo-Optical instrumentation Engineers (SPIE).
