The nanomultiferroic material which is synthesized in this research used sol-gel method. The research used weight ratio of BaTiO3: BiFeO3 of 2: 1. Gel formed after heating at 80-90°C was calcined at 350°C for 4 hours and then sintered at 700,750 and 800°C for 2, 4 and 6 hours respectively. Powder produced after sintering was characterized by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) test using XRD Phillips PW 1835 type, 20°-100° diffraction angle and CuKα, electric polarization properties test and particle size measurement using Particle Size Analyzer of Beckman Coulter DelsaTM Nano instrument. From the characterization results, it is obtained that the dominant phase is Barium Bismuth Iron (III) Oxide (BaBiFe2O5). Electrical polarization properties such as remanent, coersivity and saturation reach maximum value at sinter temperature of 750° C and sinter time of 6 hours. This result is supported by the smallest particle size of powder (54-57 nm) and also supported by the largest number of dominant phase (98.79%) at same condition. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.

Variable speed wind turbine with full scale converter or so-called Type-D wind turbine generator worldwide installation has been significantly increased in the last few years. Voltage sag in the grid side may cause the wind turbine to be disconnected from the grid. In this paper, effect of STATCOM on the low voltage ride through capability of Type-D wind turbine during voltage sag in the grid side is studied. Simulation is carried out using MATLAB/Simulink software. Results show that STATCOM can significantly improve the voltage profile at the Point of Common Coupling (PCC) and improve the capability of Type-D wind turbine and prevents it from being disconnected from the grid during certain level of voltage sag in the grid side. © 2011 IEEE.

Technology always have the potential to disruptive the society, especially electronics since this technology follows Moore Laws. Electric vehicle is predicted to change how individuals are going to do their daily commute. Electric motor cycle is an answer to eco-friendly transportation, economical in the operation and will be more affordable in the future for the people. One of the main component for this vehicle is the 3 phase motor controller. Three phase electric motor has an advantage of being light weight, low cost and more compact compare with dc motors with a comparable power. The design is featuring a regenerative braking system which brings back the mechanical energy back to the system on braking time hence a significant advantage to increase energy efficiency, since a major power lost is happening during braking on conventional vehicle. The design on purpose is using 100-125 cc equivalent of gasoline engine since this engine has the most market in Indonesia. Which is about 10 to 15 KW 3 phase AC motor. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Job shop scheduling methods are among the earliest optimization techniques that have been well-studied since 1950s. This fact reflects the prevalence of job shop scheduling problems in our daily lives, and hence, the importance of methods and tools needed to solve them. Human civilization has been evolving rapidly in the last several decades, presenting more difficult scheduling problems and the need to solve them efficiently. This article assesses the existing problems and optimization techniques in job shop scheduling. Furthermore, current and future challenges in this area are highlighted. © 2024 IEEE.

Hand gesture control represents an alternative means of human-computer interaction. The focus of this research lies in an interactive medium, which takes the form of a hand controller specifically engineered to steer an unmanned aerial vehicle. This controller boasts remote and versatile capabilities, enhancing the overall experience of UAV flight control. The controller utilizes an Arduino microcontroller, a BNO055 IMU sensor for orientation, and a potentiometer for throttle control. The program implements a finite automaton (FA) for state-based control and communicates with the ExpressLRS receiver using the CRSF protocol. The experimental findings from the developed radio control device demonstrated no significant delay. The latency of the device is only 40ms. The system exhibited responsiveness within a 216 m range despite encountering various obstacles and interference during the tests. It utilized ExpressLRS with a power consumption of 25 mW.

This study examines the influence of low-rise structure orientations on tsunami-induced impact force. The particular focus is on low-rise structures since these often make up the majority of building stock in tsunami prone areas and are usually most vulnerable. The meshless method smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) is used for simulating the tsunami flow. Multiple cube structures named A, B and C were arranged at different angles of rotation and were situated on a flat shore. Four cases were simulated with variation on the number of structures and orientation toward the tsunami direction. Case 1 comprises a single structure (SS) C without rotation (R=0°) and used as the baseline, Case 2 contains multiple structures (MS) A, B and C without rotation (R=0°), Case 3 includes multiple structures (MS) A, B and C with 30° rotation (R=30°), and Case 4 consist of multiple structures (MS) A, B and C with 45° rotation (R=45°). The simulations show that for a 2-solitary wave train the front structures generated a flow focusing effect that accelerated the bore velocity. The orientation of the multiple structures to the direction of the oncoming tsunami bore significantly affected the magnitude of the applied force, where the most effective structure orientation is provided by the 45-degree rotation. The results of this study emphasize the potential for improving tsunami resilience through appropriate positioning of structures. Importantly, such large reductions in force may provide an economic solution to building resilience in developing countries prone to tsunamis. © 2020 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Early information concerning water, oil, and free fatty acid (FFA) content in palm fruit on-site is crucial in determining the commercial value of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) and maintaining oil palm quality. Conventional methods are destructive, labor-intensive, single-target, costly, and time-consuming. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a method for the multi-parameter prediction of oil palm fruit quality using near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy. Empirical Wavelet Transform (EWT) and Gaussian Process Regression (GPR) were implemented as a novel chemometric method. A total of 250 fruit samples of the Tenera variety ( Elaeis guineensis Jacq. var. tenera) with various maturity levels were collected from the Cikabayan Oil Palm Plantation. Each sample was scanned using an NIR instrument at 1000–1500 nm wavelengths to obtain absorbance data. The EWT was applied to decompose the NIR spectra into empirical modes, and GPR was used to build a regression model for fitting. Based on numerical analysis, the combination of EWT and GPR produced the root mean square error (RMSE) values of 2.877 ± 0.900 % (R 2  = 0.955 ± 0.018), 1.256 ± 0.543 % (R 2  = 0.942 ± 0.030), and 0.065 ± 0.04 % (R 2  = 0.964 ± 0.044) for water, oil, and FFA content, respectively. The results showed that the model could accurately predict the internal quality of oil palm fruit without the need for solvents or reagents, supporting environmental sustainability. These were expected to enhance oil palm production management by improving quality control, optimizing harvest timing, and promoting sustainability across the value chain.

Indonesia has the world's largest Muslim population, so the potential for Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah (ZIS) funding is enormous. The existence of ZIS in the current Covid-19 pandemic is of extreme importance, as issues such as economic crisis, social inequality, and the rise of dhuafa (poor) are becoming more and more visible. However, in the presence of coronavirus, ZIS has become more challenging to manage and distribute. Bans on gatherings, distancing rules, and other restrictions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus make ZIS more challenging to manage. Therefore, we need innovations to build bridges between people in need and supporters. The Internet of Things (IoT) is one system that can bridge this. In this system, IoT enables machine-to-machine communication and reduces human interaction. This research uses IoT to support Rice Vending Machine with high accuracy. The accuracy is achieved using five load cells and a good rice way-out valve mechanism. In previous machines using a single load cell or open the valve according to a certain time. Based on its test results analysis and MAPE values, we found the machine's accuracy facing obtained very well, and the website monitoring was also very effective. This research provides innovation in ZIS management and dramatically benefits society.

This study aims to study the development of laboratory learning media on the concept of fluids. The method used in this study is the research and development (R & D) method of implementation up to step 7, namely: (1) literature study, (2) needs analysis, (3) design of virtual lab learning media, (4) development of lab learning media virtual, (5) validation, (6) product testing, (7) product revision. Virtual laboratory learning media, have gone through a phase validation test by two material experts and one media expert who showed that laboratory learning media on fluid materials are feasible to be applied in learning. the results of sponsored pretest and posttest for students showed a significant increase. Recommended to be applied in a virtual learning laboratory is suitable to be applied in the Faculty of engineering, Majalengka University. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd.

Geblek is a traditional food made from wet cassava starch that has become an icon of Kulonprogo District, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The characteristics of geblek are white, number eight shapes, savory taste, and chewy texture. Some problems of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), Patimurni Andani as the producer of geblek, are the cooking equipment for geblek dough, label and packaging that do not accordance with the goverment regulation. The objective of this community service is to improve the quality and quantity of geblek production as a milenial healthy snack. The method of this study consisted of the design and manufacture of the geblek dough cooker, the nutritional composition analysis, and the improvement of label and packaging. The results of this community service showed that the specifications for the geblek dough cooker were 75 cm in height and 45 cm in diameter, the material was from stainless steel 304, the maximum pressure was 5 kg/cm2, the maximum temperature was 145°C, the tank volume was 190 liters, the capacity was 150 kg, and the gas consumption was 0.8 kg/hour. These results suggested that the quality and quantity improvement of geblek could be implemented in SME to produce it as healthy snacks. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
