Vocational high school is a secondary education that prepares students to work in a particular field in the industry. Vocational high school as creators of skilled prospective workers in the industry should be able to create and shape the strong character into the students so that after graduation, they have a work ethic that could bring them to develop their careers and implement their competency in the workplace. The problem that occurred was the lack of skilled teachers. The suitable solution to improve teachers' skill was by internship. This paper discussed teachers' internship design in vocational education and aimed to enhance the learners' employability skills. Hopefully, through this model, vocational education could implement it.

The purpose of this study is to create an application which functions automatically with high accuracy when analyzing bank customer data. This needed due to non-perforMing loans occurring frequently caused by the inaccuracy of credit analysts in the assessment of creditworthiness. This can be seen in the incident occurred in a public bank located in Bandung. This bank does not have the database that serves to accommodate data history and the method used in assessing creditworthiness is merely based on the simple statistical analysis. This leads to reduced accuracy and speed in the decision-making process. This research applies Naïve Bayes Classifier (NBC) method, a Data Mining technique. This helps credit analysts to select customers who are truly eligible to be given credit so that non-perforMing loan can be avoided. NBC calculates the probability of one class from each group of attributes and deterMines which class is most optimal. The accuracy of the NBC sampling test from 501 data is 94% compared to the decision made by a credit analyst. It can be concluded that this application is very helpful for credit analysts in recommending customers who are eligible for a loan to the bank's decision maker. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This work purpose is to study the influence of concrete buried structures in grounding systems. Comparison of soil characteristics between dry and rainy seasons and soil electrical behavior was carried out. Simulations in finite element method was performed for tree layer stratified soil and the electrostatic equipotential surfaces were mapped into the region of interest. © 2016 IEEE.

This study presents simple obstacle avoidance of a mobile robot that moves through via points in a dynamic environment in which obstacles move. This proposed system consists of two controllers, a reference controller and a PI-controller. The reference controller generates a robot motion reference trajectory in reaching goals and avoiding obstacles by referring sensor information in real time trajectory and the PI-controller moves robot to follow the reference trajectory. Computer simulation was performed to test the effectiveness of proposed method and then extended to experimental tests.

In this paper, a new 4-D hyperchaotic system with one equilibrium point is first introduced. It contains ten terms with three quadratic nonlinearities. Of particular interest is that this novel system can generate periodic attractor, quasi-periodic attractor, four-scroll chaotic attractor and four-scroll hyperchaotic attractor with the variation of one of its parameters. Major dynamical properties of the new system are investigated such as sensitivity to the initial conditions, dissipativity, equilibrium point stability, Kaplan-Yorke dimension, Lyapunov exponents spectrum and bifurcation diagram. In addition, an equivalent electronic circuit schematic is implemented using Multisim software;the obtained results confirm the feasibility of the proposed system. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The stearic acid modified zinc oxide nanorod surface was coated with a stainless steel substrate to improve the contact angle and the sliding angle. Facilitated through ZnO seeding on the substrate, the ZnO nanorod was deposited via chemical bath deposition at different precursor concentrations. The surface hydrophobicity was modified by varying concentrations of stearic acid at and submmersion time. The contact angle was investigated in relation to the surface microstructure and modification. Results indicate that the density of ZnO nanorods on the substrate surface and stearic acid coverage are prerequisites for improving surface hydrophobicity. Superhydrophobic properties with a contact angle of 162° was obtained for ZnO deposited with 35 mM zinc nitrate and submerged in 8 mM stearic acid for 36 h, which allowed 5 μL water droplets to slide at 3.8°. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

For over two decades, the US government has supported gender equity programs in Science, Technology, engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. In 2001, the National Science Foundation (NSF) initiated the ADVANCE Institutional Transformation (IT) program with the primary goal to increase the representation of women in STEM. Since 2001, 37 institutions of higher education have received the NSF ADVANCE IT awards, and 19 have completed their five-year projects. Using the American Society of engineering Education (ASEE) data, we assess the changes in the representation of full-time tenure-track women faculty in engineering colleges. While earlier cross-institutional studies of the ADVANCE IT program focus only on ADVANCE institutions, we also compare engineering colleges at ADVANCE institutions to their university peers. Our analysis suggests that while the average gains in the percentage of full-time tenure-track engineering women faculty for Cohort 2 were almost twice the national average, the gains were uneven not only between the two cohorts, but also among the engineering colleges in each cohort. Similarly, the ADVANCE institutions showed an uneven performance when compared with their peers. We therefore raise important questions regarding how success is defined and conclude by highlighting the most interesting instances of successful and not so successful efforts along with the importance of conducting multi-level comparative analyses of ADVANCE and non-ADVANCE institutions. © American Society for engineering Education, 2010.

Aluminium casting is often done, but for the casting of composite materials base on aluminium is very rare. The purpose of this research is make composite material based on aluminium reinforced by SiC particles by casting. This research method use three different casting molds that are permanent cast, ceramic (chamotte sand / Al2O3-SiO2) molds and sand molds. The best casting product that has a small porosity is the AlMg10Si make of permanent molding. The small porosity effect causes the AlMg10Si material to become harder. The oxy-acetylene welding results show that the AlMg10Si + composite material reinforced by 15% SiC particles, has a fine discontinuity when the liquid penetrant test, which means that very small cracks occur, and potholes result from casting. This composite material has enormous energy to break is 0.94 Joule at impact test. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study is conducted to compare three different cannulas; all purpose nasal cannula with 2 prongs, nasal pressure cannula with 2 prongs and single port nasal cannula which are commonly used for capnography device. These cannulas or sometimes called as nasal prong is connected to the device via nose of subjects studied. This procedure is a part of respiratory study to monitor lungs condition and breathing pattern. This study involves 47 subject where the exhaled breath was recorded to make comparison and choose the most suitable and effective for capnography waveform analysis. Utilizing Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) to find the normality of all the nasal cannula data based on capnogram waveform. The result from the analysis shows that the frequency distribution for type 1 nasal cannula which is also known as all-purpose nasal cannula had the feature values closer to the standard value. Our study proofs that all purpose nasal cannula sampling is the most suitable to capture exhaled breath for monitoring respiratory conditions.
