Consumption is an essential aspect of daily life, and fulfilling customer needs requires efficient distribution of goods. Therefore, distributors are needed and they frequently set targets for their employees to achieve, and motivation plays a significant role in employee performance. An organization that distributes goods called CV Karya Prima motivates its employees by offering incentives. However, manual incentive calculation sets out problems such as a lack of progress tracking, irregular payout dates, and probable inaccuracies. This study aims to develop a web-based incentive calculation system using the analytical hierarchy process method and a database for data retrieval. The system utilizes PHP, CodeIgniter, and MySQL and adopts the SDLC prototyping method. The developed system is focused on the sales division and variables like total sales, effective calls, calls, and outlets. The web-based system is capable of solving the issues using the features that were built based on user needs and have already been tested through user acceptance testing.

Continuum contact model for friction between graphene sheets that accounts for surface anisotropy and curvature

Understanding the interaction mechanics between graphene layers and coaxial carbon nanotubes (CNTs) is essential for modeling graphene and CNT-based nanoelectromechanical systems. This work proposes a new continuum contact model to study interlayer interactions between curved graphene sheets. The continuum model is calibrated and validated using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. These are carried out employing the reactive empirical bond order (REBO)+Lennard-Jones (LJ) potential to model the interactions within a sheet, while the LJ, Kolmogorov-Crespi (KC), and Lebedeva potentials are used to model the interactions between sheets. The continuum contact model is formulated for separation distances greater than 0.29 nm, when sliding contact becomes nondissipative and can be described by a potential. In this regime, sheet deformations are sufficiently small and do not affect the sheet interactions substantially. This allows to treat the master contact surface as rigid, thus simplifying the contact formulation greatly. The model calibration is conducted systematically for a sequence of different stackings using existing and newly proposed ansatz functions. The calibrated continuum model is then implemented in a curvilinear finite-element (FE) shell formulation to investigate the pull-out and twisting interactions between coaxial CNTs. The resisting pull-out forces and torques depend strongly on the chirality of the considered CNTs. The absolute differences between FE and MD results are very small and can be attributed to model assumptions and loading conditions.

Hydrogen from glycerol is one of the most potent green energy sources to replace fossil fuels. Thus, converting a glycerol solution to hydrogen through microwave-assisted catalysis is continuously gaining interest from researchers worldwide. The research aim was to combine NiO/zeolite and CaO for efficient hydrogen production from glycerol-water solution via microwave-assisted. The BET, XRD, and TEM were applied to characterize the properties of the NiO/zeolite-CaO catalyst. The influence of CaO content on NiO/zeolite (NiO/zeolite-CaO) catalyst, and microwave power on glycerol-water decomposition into hydrogen were investigated systematically. The catalytic performance for hydrogen production from glycerol-water solution was conducted in a fixed bed quartz-tube flow reactor via microwave irradiation a fed flow-rate (FFR) of 0.5 ml/min. Several characteristics, such as heating rate of 300–600 W, have been studied, CaO content of 10 wt.%, 30 wt.%, 40 wt.%, 50 wt.%, 60 wt.%, and 100 wt.%, respectively. The combined utilization of NiO/zeolite and CaO was efficient in obtaining more hydrogen production. Furthermore, the maximum conversion was found to be around 98.8%, while the highest hydrogen purity was found to be up to 96.6% when 20 wt.% NiO was used as an active site on natural zeolite and 50 wt.% CaO was used. © 2022 The Authors

The design and construction of delivering announcements using a web-based SMS gateway aims to help overcome problems that often occur at pioneer airports; this is because when passengers want to travel, many passengers still arrive late to check-in, even though the passenger ticket has a notification for checking. -in 1 hour before Departure. If a flight's Departure is delayed or accelerated, passengers will only receive this information when they arrive at the airport, whereas if at the time the departure notification is delayed or accelerated, the passenger is still outside the airport or still on their way to the airport, as a result, they will definitely not receive the information. Testing voice announcements on parking, arrival, departure, delay, check-in, and waiting room services, as well as testing SMS broadcasts (30 user numbers and one airline), shows that the announcement application provides information through voice data recording and broadcasts SMS to passengers and families. Testing was carried out at Indonesian Pioner airport for 30 passengers for a week. The percentage of Ease of obtaining test voice information was 81.98%, and the percentage of Ease of obtaining broadcast SMS information was 83.1%. Implementing the announcement is feasible at pioneer airports with a percentage of 82.54%.

This paper illustrates a humanlike self-balancing robot's control and sensor fusion with an inherently imbalanced dynamical model. Using a state space model, a two-wheeled self-balancing robot (TWSBR) is modelled as an inverted pendulum. A comparative study of the system performance is conducted, with different control techniques, namely, PD, PID, and Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR). The system status is monitored and fed back to the controller using an internal measurement unit (IMU) with data filtering through sensor fusion. The controlled system is simulated using MATLAB/ Simulink and Simscape. The quantitative performance of different controllers is calculated using seven different indices: maximum overshooting, settling time, rise time, root-mean-square error (RMSE), steady-state error, controller effort, and max control action. The results proved that the LQR gives the best performance with the lowest RMSE and reasonable rise, settling time, energy consumption, and saturation level;therefore, it is the most suited for our system requirements. © 2022 IEEE.

The allure of gaming often leads to excessive engagement, which can result in addictive and problematic behaviors, negatively impacting academic performance and school achievements. While gaming becomes increasingly prevalent, concerns about game addiction have grown, particularly among students. The excessive and obsessive usage of video games that characterizes game addiction can have detrimental effects like academic deterioration, social isolation, and mental health problems. This study seeks to elucidate the complex patterns of game addiction among digital-native students by utilizing advanced machine learning techniques. We employed Random Forest, SVM, Decision Tree, and Naïve Bayes algorithms to classify game addiction data from students. To address the class imbalance, we applied Borderline-SMOTE. Our results demonstrate that decision tree and random forest outperformed other machine learning approaches, achieving an accuracy of $\mathbf{9 5 \%}$ in classifying game addiction. These findings contribute to the expanding body of knowledge on game addiction. Furthermore, in order to provide real-time monitoring and intervention for students who are at risk of developing a game addiction, future research may investigate incorporating these findings into educational platforms or applications.

Defects in high-pressure die casting (HPDC) significantly impact product lifespan, casting quality, and manufacturing costs. This study investigates defects in the initial HPDC process of AlSi12 aluminum alloy cover plates for automotive hydraulic systems. The goal is to propose process schemes that eliminate defects, enhance quality, and improve mechanical properties. Three casting schemes were examined, combining three plunger velocities and two mechanical boosters, with a focus on their practical feasibility. A retained melt modulus model was used for numerical analysis to identify regions prone to shrinkage porosity. Strategies were developed to minimize the percentage of elements with shrinkage porosity while optimizing elongation and ultimate tensile strength through tensile tests and analyzing grain size via microstructure analysis. Numerical simulations were employed to design and refine the proposed schemes, correlating plunger velocities and mechanical boosting with experimentally validated product quality and mechanical properties. In Case 3, shrinkage porosity was reduced from 0.59 to 0.41% (30.5% improvement), elongation increased from 6.03 to 9.13% (51.4% improvement), ultimate tensile strength rose from 256.7 to 299.09 MPa (16.5% improvement), and average grain size decreased from 25.62 to 18.76 µm (26.8% improvement). Case 3 was validated by X-ray, demonstrating its effectiveness. Although minor shrinkage porosity persisted, helium leak tests confirmed no impact on the cover plate’s quality. This study highlights the significant role of numerical simulation in designing HPDC process schemes, providing a robust approach to improving product quality and mechanical performance.

Stunting in toddlers is a chronic nutritional issue that affects the physical and cognitive development of children, with serious long-term consequences such as reduced cognitive function and an increased risk of chronic diseases in adulthood. Therefore, early identification and prevention efforts for stunting are crucial. Classifying toddlers into categories of at-risk for stunting or not is essential to provide timely and appropriate interventions. This study employs data mining techniques using the decision tree algorithm to expedite the stunting detection process and improve the accuracy of nutritional status classification in children. The results indicate that the constructed decision tree model can classify children's nutritional status with an accuracy of 83.26%. The decision tree achieves high accuracy in classifying stunting in toddlers due to its ability to handle complex data and identify significant patterns within the data.

To develop a device which can determine automatically the quality of coffee beans, the module to identify and classify coffee bean defects based on digital images processing is needed. For this reason, a new dataset of coffee bean defect images is built in this research. 3 classes were defined and obtained from the image sample of coffee beans, namely good coffee beans, defective coffee beans, and non-valid coffee beans. Moreover, specifically for the class of defective coffee beans, the new dataset also provides ground truth image samples for 17 classes of coffee bean with defects which was defined by SNI 01-2907-2008. Two Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture models, InceptionResnetV2 and MobileNet, were tested to do an initial benchmarking process to classify coffee beans and their types of defects. Both architectures show very promising results to classify coffee bean images in 3-classes. With 92.52% of accuracy, MobileNet outperforms slightly InceptionResnetV2. Both architectures are fairly easy to classify the 3-classes of coffee bean images. But the experimental results indicate that the task of classifying more specifically the 17 classes of different types of defects in coffee beans is still quite difficult. Although the accuracy of InceptionResnetV2 of 53.35% seems much higher than the accuracy of MobileNet, the two architectures still seem to be struggling to identify each type of coffee bean defect. This benchmarking results will serve as the initial basis that helps to analyze the level of complexity of problems in the coffee bean new dataset, as well as the basis for further investigations and research processes to improve the performance of the future coffee bean classifier machine. © 2023 IEEE.
