The efforts to mitigate floods are necessary. One of the tools that can contribute to flood mitigation is the Flood Early Warning System (FEWS). The main goal of this study is to design a prototype of FEWS that can be easily used anywhere, anytime, and provide accurate water level readings. The prototype system is designed using an Ultrasonic Sensor for water level detection, an alarm system, and Blynk as a web and mobile dashboard. The prototype consists of four main components: Ultrasonic Sensor HC-SR04, Arduino Nano, NodeMCU, and HC-12. It comprises two units: a transmitter unit and a receiver unit. To determine the accuracy and consistency of the Ultrasonic Sensor, the author conducted testing using calibration, non-continuous, and continuous methods. The accuracy obtained was 99.71%. Additionally, the author observed high consistency in the readings of the ultrasonic sensor, as evident from continuous sensor reading test results. Furthermore, the receiver unit successfully displayed output according to the water level threshold for each condition. Additionally, the Blynk web and mobile dashboard were able to display output as per the design. However, we suggest adding data logging features and also solar panels as a renewable power source to support the improved prototype system. © 2023 IEEE.

The demand for a high-efficiency lamp results in the development of different kinds of lighting sources, such as LED panels, and fluorescent lights. Those inventions provide high illumination with less heat, in comparison than incandescent lamps. However, the specifications (by manufacturers) are not always shown on the product packaging, or might be slightly different, a little bit higher or lower compared to the characteristics of the lighting sources. In this paper, the research group utilizes an integrating sphere system, one of the most well known experiment-based methods, by using an all-in-one integrating sphere system from the Lisun Group to characterize different kinds of lamps. From the experimental result, various parameters, such as power consumption, luminous efficacy, luminous flux, correlated color temperature, and color rendering index will be compared with the information on the packaging. This will enable some insightful conclusions on the integrating sphere technique to be drawn. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

The application of passive safety technology in vehicles is generally through impact-absorbing structures. This technology has been widely applied to trains, planes, and cars to protect passengers from fatal accidents. Cellular structures are defined by a unit cell that combines material, space, and unit cell repetition to obtain a large structure. It is selected as the base structure of the impact energy absorber for its potentially high specific energy absorption (SEA]. Such a structure poses a challenge in its manufacturing method. This study examines alternative manufacturing processes for cellular structures designed as impact absorbers, and then selects and develops an effective and efficient manufacturing method to produce these cellular structures. Several alternative manufacturing methods were chosen to exercise the use of a combined plaster molding technology and additive manufacturing for prototyping. Manufacturing process simulation studies were conducted using Altair Inspire Cast software to determine the success of the casting process. The final stage is to carry out the process of making cell structures and evaluating the results. This work results in an effective manufacturing process design to be implemented throughout the production stage. Furthermore, for mass production, mold patterns may be replaced by using injection molding. © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Indonesia, as one of the largest coffee producers and exporters in the world, has experienced significant growth in the number of coffee shops, driven by increasing consumer demand for ready-to-drink coffee. This study aims to enhance sales performance at Authen Café and Space through the implementation of a menu bundling strategy. By utilizing data mining techniques and the Apriori algorithm, customer purchasing patterns were analyzed to identify optimal menu combinations. The data was collected directly at Authen Cafe during the period from April to August 2028. The analysis revealed that bundling strategies, such as combining Ayam Rica-Rica with Es Kopi Susu Karamel, are effective in increasing sales volume and product popularity among consumers. Furthermore, this study evaluated the impact of offering discounts on bundled packages on the café's profitability, demonstrating that this approach can boost net profit without sacrificing profit margins. This research provides significant insights into the application of data-driven marketing strategies within the café'industry and offers guidance for more effective managerial decision-making. © 2024 IEEE.

Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Number 4 of 2020,drinking water supply management can stand alone or work together with other *** local government establishes a Regional Drinking Water Company which has responsibility for supplying drinking water at the regency/city *** coastal city as the object of study manages clean water then transfers under a private *** to government restrictions regarding the authority to provide clean water,a technical implementation unit was formed for better solution in clean water *** new form of institution will be able to make decisions and carry out execution at any time because it is directly under the authority of the government,it can also apply the concept of good governance to support more transparent *** accordance with the policy,the new institutional form will be able to finance itself,develop the level of service and contribute to regional development as a source of local ***,the institutional transition requires adaptation both from a functional and operational *** this study,an analysis of the readiness for the transition of institutional forms is carried out to minimize conflicts such the lack of improvement in the quality of drinking water services due to limited government authority,insufficient qualified human resources in water management,and the difficulty of developing drinking water service infrastructure because it still depends on the private *** analysis of the structure and human resources associated with clean water service targets also *** strengthening,both regulatory and institutional,is necessary to maximize the roles and functions of the relevant *** a more comprehensive understanding in the preparation of contracts and division of authority,no parties will be aggrieved in the long term.

Empirical mode decomposition of near-infrared spectroscopy signals for predicting oil content in palm fruits

Oil content estimation in palm fruits is a precious property that significantly impacts oil palm production,starting from the upstream and *** content can be used to monitor the progress of the oil palm fresh fruit bunch(FFB)and be applied to identify product *** on the near-infrared(NIR)signals,this study proposes an empirical mode decomposition(EMD)technique to decompose signals and predict the oil content of palm ***,350 palm fruits with Tenera varieties(Elaeis guineensis ***),at various ages of maturity,were harvested from the Cikabayan Oil Palm Plantation(IPB University,Indonesia).Second,each sample was sent directly to the laboratory for NIR signal measurements and oil content ***,the EMD analysis and arti-ficial neural network(ANN)were employed to correlate the NIR signals and oil ***,a robust EMD-ANN model is generated by optimizing the lowest possible *** on performance evaluation,the proposed technique can predict oil content with a coefficient of determination(R2)of 0.933±0.015 and a root mean squared error(RMSE)of 1.446±*** results demonstrate that the model has a good predictive capacity and has the potential to predict the oil content of palm fruits directly,without neither solvents nor reagents,which makes it environmentally ***,the proposed technique has a promising potential to be applied in the oil palm *** like this will lead to the effective and efficient management of oil palm production.

The Karawang Regency is located on the coast and is the largest industrial area in West Java. However, this has led to groundwater seepage issues that cause the water to taste salty and cause yellow stains. To solve these issues, a study was conducted to filter the groundwater using tubular ceramic membranes. This study created tubular ceramic membranes using three different composition;Clay:Seashell = 60%:30% (CM-1);45%:45% (CM-2);30%:60% (CM-3);and 10% zeolite. The ceramic membranes were sintered at 1000°C for 10 hours. The research aimed to analyze how different compositions of ceramic membrane materials affected the efficiency of reducing pH, manganese, Total Dissolved Solids, salinity, and hardness. This ceramic membrane has a good effectiveness level completed with the best tubular ceramic membrane variant in reducing water pH levels being CM-1 (7.2-7.5), CM-1 is the best reduction of TDS by 284.66 mg/L, CM-2 is the best reduction of Mn metal by 0.235 mg/L, CM-3 is the best reduction in hardness by 84.333 ppm, and CM-1 is the best reduction in salinity by 108 ppm. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study is conducted to compare three different cannulas;all purpose nasal cannula with 2 prongs, nasal pressure cannula with 2 prongs and single port nasal cannula which are commonly used for capnography device. These cannulas or sometimes called as nasal prong is connected to the device via nose of subjects studied. This procedure is a part of respiratory study to monitor lungs condition and breathing pattern. This study involves 47 subject where the exhaled breath was recorded to make comparison and choose the most suitable and effective for capnography waveform analysis. Utilizing Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) to find the normality of all the nasal cannula data based on capnogram waveform. The result from the analysis shows that the frequency distribution for type 1 nasal cannula which is also known as all-purpose nasal cannula had the feature values closer to the standard value. Our study proofs that all purpose nasal cannula sampling is the most suitable to capture exhaled breath for monitoring respiratory conditions. © 2023 IEEE.

Traditional drying still lacks one of the lengths of the curing process that takes 2–4 days depending on the condition of the sun, unlike the modern way of using dryer equipment. Previous research had created a multistoried dryer, but there was still a considerable temperature difference between the shelves. The study aims to reexamine the distribution of temperatures that occur in high-rise dryer equipment. Prior research has designed dryer appliances with a leveling 9 levels of hot gas line and a sharp turning fins, 45-degree bend on the left and right sides of the instruments. Still, they do not achieve the same temperature consistency in the dryer room. Achieving the right temperature in each dryer requires reshaping the fins of a hot gas line. From the long changes to the hot gas line, an efficient fin variation, a size of 35 mm in the gas duct, followed by a 5 mm increase in the last fin at the first deposit of 60 mm, but at the other end of the hot gas line at 7, 8, 9, was shut, with the experiment producing an evenly matched temperature between 1–2 ºC. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The lack of plants in multi-storey housing causes an increase in environmental temperature, causing global heat. Therefore, thermal comfort is not achieved for humans which will reduce the quality of life, to overcome this, air conditioning (AC) is used. However, due to the high ambient temperature causing an increase in the use of air conditioning which will cause electricity consumption to increase as well. One effort that can be done is to multiply hanging flower plants around multi-storey buildings. This solution is expected to reduce the environmental temperature around high-rise buildings. This study aims to determine the heat absorption by fifteen types of plants tested by the hanging method, so that it can be seen which plants are most suitable to be planted to reduce environmental temperatures. The plants tested were Devils Ivy (Epippremnum Aureum), Purple Heart (Tradescantia), Ant Bag (Discida Geri), Velvet (Gynura Aurantica), Purple Zabrina (Trandescantia Zabrina), Paperomia Hope, Spider Lily (Cholorophytum Comosum), Purple Spider Lily (Trandescantia Spathacea), Nerve Leaf, Anthurium, Pigeon Feet (Altheantera Ficoida), Creeping Charlie (P. Nummularifolia), Candle Flower (Begonia), Zebrakraut, and Episcia. From the results obtained indicate that hanging flower plants affect the decrease in environmental temperature. The most effective among the mentioned hanging flower plants on absorbing heat with the hanging method are Spider Lily (Chlorophytum Comosum). © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
