The problems and challenges for the government in seeing disease growth trend patterns are very important. This research focuses on infectious diseases, namely Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), while non-communicable illnesses focus on epilepsy and thalassemia in 2023-2024. The priority in this research is that the Health Service can take action to prevent disease distribution patterns that are seen based on the results of identifying patterns and trends using the fuzzy c-means model and mapping for each region. The research methodology includes collecting patient data, inputted by recorded medical data consisting of sub-district data and the number of incidents. The research results of the Fuzzy C-means model in analyzing infectious disease trend patterns show 3 clusters. The first cluster of vulnerable areas has four sub-districts: Sawang, Syamtalira Bayu, Dewantara and Muara Batu. Then, the second cluster still consists of 18 sub-districts. Finally, the safe cluster consists of 8 sub-districts. Meanwhile, the results of the ward model research showed that there were 2 clusters, namely vulnerable consisting of 19 sub-districts and safe eight sub-districts, which were then included in the spatial map. Meanwhile, analysis of non-communicable disease patterns using fuzzy c-means, namely thalassemia and epilepsy in cluster C1 (High) in 4 and 7 sub-districts, medium cluster in 9 and 7, and low cluster in 14 and 16 sub-districts. Therefore, this research can provide an important picture for the Health Service in analyzing trends in cluster patterns of growth of infectious and non-communicable diseases in children. © 2023 IEEE.

Underactuated robots are intriguing systems that have found numerous applications across various fields. These systems are characterized by having fewer actuators than degrees of freedom, resulting in complex behaviors that challenge traditional modeling and control techniques. Despite the prevalent use of data-driven modeling, extracting the dynamic model of underactuated systems is particularly challenging. This paper focuses on deriving from data the dynamic model of the Double Inverted Pendulum on a Cart (DIPC). The Euler-Lagrange equations are employed to derive the model's terms from the symbolic form of the DH parameters of the system. The coefficients of the model terms are obtained by formulating a constrained least-squares (LS) problem. The constraints leverage the properties of the robot's dynamic equations to limit the solution space to the physically possible ones. The conventional LS method failed to calculate the coefficients of the underactuated DIPC and got only the trivial solution. The proposed method accurately identifies the dynamic model of the underactuated DIPC, overcoming issues related to finding a solution by searching the null space of the regressor matrix and dealing with ill-conditioned regressor matrices. The proposed method provides a systematic approach for determining the dynamic model of actuated or underactuated robotic systems. Additionally, it can extend the capabilities of dynamic simulation software by extracting the nonlinear dynamic model of the robot from simulation data. © 2024 IEEE.

Filler serves as a filling for the voids between coarse aggregate and fine aggregate in the AC-WC mixture. The filler has a significant effect on the marshall characteristics of the AC-WC mixture even though it is only as a filler. This study aims to investigate the effect of fly ash, volcanic ash, rice husk ash on marshall characteristics. The research data obtained from secondary data based on previous researchers, (Pratama 2021) for fly ash filler, (Rezi 2021) for volcanic ash filler, (Malacca 2021) for rice husk ash filler. The data is in the form of variations in the percentage of filler (fly ash, rice husk and volcano ash) with the same asphalt content. The sample was processed for statistical testing using SPSS version 26 software to determine the effect of asphalt content and filler percentage on marshall characteristics. Optimum Asphalt Content (OAC) test results obtained 6.1% fly ash, 6.2% volcanic ash, 6.7% rice husk ash. The test results on Marshall showed the most influential filler in the 2% rice husk ash filler with density, stability, Marshall Quontient (MQ) and VMA values, while the Flow value obtained the highest value in 1% volcanic ash filler. For the VFB of fly ash and rice husk ash, there was a decrease in the value of the filler content of 2% and 2.5% and an increase in the filler content of 3%. The results of statistical tests using SPSS show that those that have a significant positive linear influence on the asphalt content and filler percentage are Stability and Marshall Quotient (MQ). This paper presents the design and construction of a low-cost combat robot named Artemis, developed for participation in the Robocore Experience 2024 competition. The project emphasizes the integration of cost-effective components and innovative methodologies to create a competitive robot. The ESP32 microcontroller was selected for its advantages in energy efficiency and connectivity, surpassing traditional platforms like Arduino. The construction process involved several phases, including planning, development, testing, correction, and performance evaluation, utilizing tools such as CAD software for design and 3D printing for fabrication. Key components included a DC motor, L298N H-bridge, and a LiPo battery, all chosen to optimize performance while adhering to budget constraints. The robot’s design evolved through iterative testing and adjustments, ultimately leading to a successful competition debut. This work highlights the importance of resourcefulness and collaboration in robotics, showcasing how educational institutions can foster innovation in engineering projects. ©2024 IEEE.

Pico scale Turgo turbine (PSTT) is proper as a power plant to be applied for remote areas because of its simple construction, cheap investment cost, and good performance above 35%. However, the design of PSTT is still based on estimation because the wheel diameter and nozzle diameter (D/d) ratio are not yet in reasonable agreement. Furthermore, the literature on D/d affects PSTT performance has not been comprehensive. Accordingly, this study investigates the relation of D/d on PSTT performance and its effect on the U/Vjet. Based on experimental results, the relation of D/d and U/Vjet to PSTT performance is parabolic (expressed by polynomial quadratic);the maximum configuration of D/d of 22, and U/Vjet between 0.42 to 0.47. © 2022, Turbomachinery Society of Japan. Job shop scheduling methods are among the earliest optimization techniques that have been well-studied since 1950s. This fact reflects the prevalence of job shop scheduling problems in our daily lives, and hence, the importance of methods and tools needed to solve them. Human civilization has been evolving rapidly in the last several decades, presenting more difficult scheduling problems and the need to solve them efficiently. This article assesses the existing problems and optimization techniques in job shop scheduling. Furthermore, current and future challenges in this area are highlighted. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper introduces a novel approach to combating the spread of Dengue and Chikungunya, two prevalent arboviruses in tropical regions, especially in Brazil. The research presents a low-cost differential topology robot designed as an educational tool to raise awareness about mosquito breeding grounds among students and teachers in public schools across the Federal District, Brazil. Developed at the University of Brasilia, the robot is deployed in collaboration with the Federal District Health Department to support prevention campaigns in schools. The paper evaluates the effectiveness of this innovative tool in enhancing community engagement and improving health outcomes. The findings suggest that integrating robotics into health education can significantly elevate awareness and strengthen prevention strategies against arboviral diseases. ©2024 IEEE.

A remote telescope system has been established at Universitas Nusa Cendana, Kupang. Bosscha Observatory, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), and the Physics study program at Universitas Nusa Cendana (Undana) collaborated to develop the system. The ITB-Undana Telescope system has a QSI 616 CCD camera and BV RI Bessel filter attached to a 20-cm (f/10) Schmidt-Cassegrain reflector. Several research and public outreach activities have been conducted using the ITB-Undana remote telescope throughout 2023. When establishing a new astronomical observation site, it is imperative to conduct sky characterization and quality assessment. This process involves measuring night sky brightness and atmospheric extinction coefficients. In May 2023, we observed photometric standard stars using the absolute photometry technique with BV RI Bessel filters. We also utilized the Sky Quality Meter (SQM) to measure night sky brightness over three nights from May 24th to May 26th, 2023, to compare the sky brightness values obtained through the absolute photometry method. Our initial measurement shows a first-order extinction coefficient value ranging from kb′ = 0.269 to 0.520, kv′ = 0.216 to 0.297, kr′ = 0.019 to 0.206, and ki′ = 0.127 to 0.163, for B, V, R, and I filter, respectively. Application of extinction coefficient value in the sky field gives a mean sky brightness value in V bandpass, Vsky = 19.431 ± 0.022, with color index (B - V )sky = 0.492 ± 0.039. These night sky brightness values are suitable for measurements using the SQM. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Most infectious diseases are caused by viruses that are spread from one person to another through the air. Isolation room is a room that keeps virus in infected people from spreading to other people by maintaining temperature and humidity. Therefore, a system is needed that regulates the isolation room to remain sterile, where this system must control and maintain the stability of air circulation in the room. For this purpose, this study proposes the design of an automated control system to regulate the temperature and humidity in an isolated room by controlling the supply air with damper. The method that is used in making this control system is experimental and analysis from sensor readings that will be used as a sign of decision-making for the damper output that will control the air flow to the isolation room with closed loop algorithm for the system control, the controller will send digital signal to the damper relay based on sensor reading, so that the data results of the experiment and analysis can see whether the control system can work well or not. The successful performance of the control system is seen from results of sensor readings;when the system changed the damper position it can maintain the isolation room situation around 22 °C to 24 °C for temperature and 50% until 60% for the humidity. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

The consumption profile of electrical energy always increases every year due to the highly consumptive and inappropriate lifestyles of modern society. A bad lifestyle such as forgetting to turn off the unused electronic devices when they are leaving home is one of the factors influenced the increasing consumption of electrical energy. This is off course contributing in wasting energy. In the paper, an IoT-based electronic device control system has been successfully constructed. Monitoring and control tasks could be performed remotely and in real time mode using an interface application installed on a smartphone. The system built is equipped with a device operational condition monitoring featured by placing light, temperature, thermal and current sensors, respectively. Through the utilization of the implemented system, users can monitor and control electronic devices easily and can figure out the condition of the device remotely in a real time mode. The control test on the system was successful with an average response time of approximately 3.32 seconds and the accuracy of sensor readings above 89%. With the implementation of this system, users can easily monitor and control electronic devices anywhere and anytime so that the opportunities for efficient and effective use of electrical energy could be further optimized. © 2022.
