This research introduces the Smart Direct Couple Motor Operated Valve (SDCMOV), designed to enhance agricultural efficiency and sustainability. SDCMOV automates the distribution of water and fertilizers in vegetable farming, reducing labor intensity and inefficiencies. The system addresses key issues such as minimizing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) among farmers and ensuring consistent nutrient delivery for optimal plant growth. Energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and remotely controllable via mobile devices, SDCMOV significantly improves irrigation and fertilization processes. Experimental results suggest that SDCMOV is a viable solution for sustainable and modern agricultural practices, particularly in developing countries. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this study,the mechanical behavior of crystal group of hexagonal close-packed(hcp;αphase)and body-centered cubic(bcc;βphase)during tensile loading was investigated to elucidate the mechanism from elastic to plastic deformation transition of the rolled LZ91 Mg alloy using transmission-X-ray diffraction(transmission-XRD)measurement,transmission electron microscopy(TEM),scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS).The approximate proof stress of the LZ91 Mg alloy sample was found that the lattice strain retained the expanded state from 0.6%nominal strain,and the transmission-XRD measurement characterized the crystalline behavior during the transition by the integrated intensity of crystal group hcp(100).The lattice strain of bcc(110)decreased from the 0.6%nominal strain due to dislocation activity,which occurred nearβ/βgrain *** addition,we performed the analyses of electron energy loss spectroscopy(EELS)modes,the Li-K peak disappeared from the segregated Li regions of 10–60 nm nearβ/βgrain boundary at the nominal strain of 0.8%.Understanding this mechanical behavior during the elastic to plastic deformation transition by transmission-XRD is crucial for the development of Mg-Li alloys.

Consumption is an essential aspect of daily life, and fulfilling customer needs requires efficient distribution of goods. Therefore, distributors are needed and they frequently set targets for their employees to achieve, and motivation plays a significant role in employee performance. An organization that distributes goods called CV Karya Prima motivates its employees by offering incentives. However, manual incentive calculation sets out problems such as a lack of progress tracking, irregular payout dates, and probable inaccuracies. This study aims to develop a web-based incentive calculation system using the analytical hierarchy process method and a database for data retrieval. The system utilizes PHP, CodeIgniter, and MySQL and adopts the SDLC prototyping method. The developed system is focused on the sales division and variables like total sales, effective calls, calls, and outlets. The web-based system is capable of solving the issues using the features that were built based on user needs and have already been tested through user acceptance testing. © 2023 IEEE.

The design and construction of delivering announcements using a web-based SMS gateway aims to help overcome problems that often occur at pioneer airports;this is because when passengers want to travel, many passengers still arrive late to check-in, even though the passenger ticket has a notification for checking. -in 1 hour before Departure. If a flight's Departure is delayed or accelerated, passengers will only receive this information when they arrive at the airport, whereas if at the time the departure notification is delayed or accelerated, the passenger is still outside the airport or still on their way to the airport, as a result, they will definitely not receive the information. Testing voice announcements on parking, arrival, departure, delay, check-in, and waiting room services, as well as testing SMS broadcasts (30 user numbers and one airline), shows that the announcement application provides information through voice data recording and broadcasts SMS to passengers and families. Testing was carried out at Indonesian Pioner airport for 30 passengers for a week. The percentage of Ease of obtaining test voice information was 81.98%, and the percentage of Ease of obtaining broadcast SMS information was 83.1%. Implementing the announcement is feasible at pioneer airports with a percentage of 82.54%. © 2024 IEEE.

The allure of gaming often leads to excessive engagement, which can result in addictive and problematic behaviors, negatively impacting academic performance and school achievements. While gaming becomes increasingly prevalent, concerns about game addiction have grown, particularly among students. The excessive and obsessive usage of video games that characterizes game addiction can have detrimental effects like academic deterioration, social isolation, and mental health problems. This study seeks to elucidate the complex patterns of game addiction among digital-native students by utilizing advanced machine learning techniques. We employed Random Forest, SVM, Decision Tree, and Naïve Bayes algorithms to classify game addiction data from students. To address the class imbalance, we applied Borderline-SMOTE. Our results demonstrate that decision tree and random forest outperformed other machine learning approaches, achieving an accuracy of 95% in classifying game addiction. These findings contribute to the expanding body of knowledge on game addiction. Furthermore, in order to provide real-time monitoring and intervention for students who are at risk of developing a game addiction, future research may investigate incorporating these findings into educational platforms or applications. © 2024 IEEE.

Stunting in toddlers is a chronic nutritional issue that affects the physical and cognitive development of children, with serious long-term consequences such as reduced cognitive function and an increased risk of chronic diseases in adulthood. Therefore, early identification and prevention efforts for stunting are crucial. Classifying toddlers into categories of at-risk for stunting or not is essential to provide timely and appropriate interventions. This study employs data mining techniques using the decision tree algorithm to expedite the stunting detection process and improve the accuracy of nutritional status classification in children. The results indicate that the constructed decision tree model can classify children's nutritional status with an accuracy of 83.26%. The decision tree achieves high accuracy in classifying stunting in toddlers due to its ability to handle complex data and identify significant patterns within the data. © 2024 IEEE.

The electric power system must have a protection system with reliable electric power isolation, so that the supply of electrical energy works properly and optimally. There are several kinds of disturbances in the electric power distribution system, one of which is a partial discharge. This study aims to investigate the effect of plate-rod electrodes on partial discharge, partial discharge voltage limits in solid insulation, and the characteristics of partial discharge in electrode media, and waveforms in partial discharge detection sensors. After conducting research, it was found that in the plate-rod type electrode media, the PDIV voltage appeared earlier than the plate-plate electrode media due to the cross-sectional area of the electrode media. And the limit of the pre-discharge voltage of PCB type solid insulation on the plate-bar electrodes is at a voltage of 1.3 kV. Several indicators to determine the characteristics of the partial discharge are background noise off (BGN off), background noise on (BGN on), partial discharge inception voltage (PDIV), and partial discharge voltage. After being examined, the value of each partial discharge detection voltage was obtained at negative and positive polarity voltages on the electrode plates and plate needles respectively 2.85 kV, 2.95 kV and 1.32 kV, 1.57 kV. © 2023 Institute of Physics Publishing. This study focus on passive and active learning within the context of robotics education on public high schools. By synthesizing research findings and practical insights, this paper offers valuable recommendations for educators aiming to optimize the delivery of robotics education in public high schools, addressing the significance of the utilization of appropriate resources and technologies to support effective instruction. We implemented two distinct teaching methodologies to compare and study students’ reactions and learning outcomes: Group A experienced a passive methodology, while Group B engaged with an active methodology. We conducted a survey and the results show that the majority of the students prefer the active approach used in classes. ©2024 IEEE.

Manufacturing industry nowadays have become more onto digitalization to keep the competitiveness. The correlation of digitalization with industry revolution 4.0 (IR4.0) or "Industry 4.0" has brought many new technologies to the world as people are compelled to use high technologies gadgets which are faster and more efficient. The aim of this paper is to determine the level of impact of IR4.0 on the performance of manufacturing industry in Miri and Bintulu and assess the implication of IR4.0 on the manufacturing sustainability. The method used to conduct this study is qualitative method through questionnaire. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics tool to evaluate the mean value, and Cronbach’s alpha test to measure its reliability for the five-point Likert scale. The findings indicate that 46% of the respondents have awareness of the IR4.0, meanwhile 71% of the respondents have awareness of the manufacturing sustainability. Regarding the first objective, mean value of 3.27 out of 5.00 was obtained which indicates that IR4.0 gave moderate impact on the manufacturing performance. For the second objective, mean value of 3.28 out of 5.00 was obtained. This indicates that the implication of IR4.0 help moderately on the sustainability of manufacturing industry within Miri and Bintulu. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
